I am sorry but how does this constitute a healthy shake??? It has 22 grams of fat?? 4.sat is almost 1/2 of the daily limit of saturated fat. The sugar content of 22 grams is over half the daily limit for sugar intake.
The nutritional info is for 2 servings, so the actual fat is 11. And the amount of saturated fat you are allowed per day is based on your caloric needs. It’s closer to 14g for a 2000 calorie diet. 2 g of saturated fat isn’t anything I’d worry about.
Here’s my recipe for a chocolate banana smoothie:
1 cup chocolate soy milk
1 frozen banana
3 tbsp all-natural peanut butter
Ice cubes
Blend all in a blender.
The original recipe called for 3/4 c reduced fat milk and 2 tbsp of chocolate syrup, but I usually only have soy milk so that’s what I use.
Can’t wait to try this Kristin!! Thanks for sharing 🙂 I love almond milk in my shakes too.
And ditto what Donna said.
All you need to do to lower the fat is use fat ftree plain Greek yogurt
I plan on trying both recipe. I like to drink almond milk as well.
