Bouncing Back by Emily

Before

I love Cathe for making me living proof that you can be fit and bounce back after having kids! After my second child, my sister introduced me to running and to Cathe. My first video was Kick, Punch, and Crunch. It was so fun and extremely tough! I was so proud of myself when I finally was able to make it all the way through!

I have tried a lot of workout videos over the years, but I always returned to Cathe because her videos were so fun and the toughest I could find. Now, three kids later, I’ve reached my ideal goal weight and have easily maintained it for the past year, even surpassing it by a few pounds. I’m the most toned I’ve ever been and fit into clothing sizes I never dreamed of!

When I was younger, I always believed that because I was tall, I was destined to wear larger sizes. Now, I wear a smaller size than I did in high school or when I got married nine years ago! Shopping has never been so fun! Cathe’s videos also helpe d me run my first half marathon when my youngest child was only 4.5 months old. I plan to run my first full marathon this fall, no doubt with Cathe’s help.

Besides looking and feeling the best I ever have in my life, Cathe has given me so much more. My oldest daughter, who is now 7 yrs.

After

old, was born with severe developmental delays and seizures. She will never talk, walk, or be mobile on her own. When she was about 1.5 yrs. old, I remember telling my daughter’s doctor that I kept hurting my back from lifting her and carrying her around so frequently. Now, she continues to grow and she has a heavy wheelchair that I occasionally have to lift. Ever since beginning strength training with Cathe, I never have back pain anymore. I know that I will be strong enough to lift my daughter, and her equipment, no matter how big she gets. And how could I possibly waste my ability to be active and fit? My daughter cannot run, jump, or be active, so I will do it for her!

Another great motivator in my life is my 89 yr. old Grandpa. He also has a great passion for exercise and nutrition. He is full of energy and very adamant about staying in shape later in life. You wouldn’t believe the things he can do at his age!

Cathe also kick started a new found passion in me for exercise and nutrition. It has created a whole new lifestyle for my family and I. One that I know I will never give up because of how great I feel! Thanks to Cathe for changing my life!

  • Emily, you are an inspiration to me. I am still a “before”, but am working very hard to become an “after”. You picture will help motivate me, wow, to look like that! I have a little girl just like yours. She has been my light and my wonder for 25 years. I know you will stay strong for your daughter, and the lessons she will teach you about patience and unconditional love will keep you going strong.

  • Very inspiring Emily! I can almost see your ripped six-pack through your shirt. I remember a while ago you blogged about Cathe videos and so now I will definitely have to check them out. Also, i remember you saying you one day decided that the time you were spending facebooking or blogging, you were going to choose instead to work out. I loved that. It made me realize how many excuses I give myself and how often I try to redirect myself from what I really should be doing. I hope to someday have an “after” picture like you. Serious congrats, girl!
