Wrist pain, yoga gloves?

With so many wkouts using body weight type moves (planks, push ups, mountain climbers etc) I'm really feeling it in my wrists. I know there was a thread some time ago about gloves that can be worn to add support and protect the wrists. I think people preferred "Wags" brand. I would like to get some and wanted my fellow Cathletes to let me know what they like and why? Go ahead.....enable!!

I have the basic WAGS and use them for the moves you mentioned. I wish I had sprung for the thicker padded ones. They really do alleviate the wrist/hand pain from the moves you mentioned, as well as triceps dips off the bench. Sometimes I can't use them because they are awkward to use when lifting weights...no cushioning in the fingers :(. I wish the WAGS folks would make weightlifting gloves with heavy duty cushioning throughout the glove, not just the heel of the palm.

The WAGS I'm looking at are $54. They appear to have what I need for my freakishly small wrists.

I have 2 pairs of wags the ultra, $54.95, and the flex $29.99. At first I used the flex for everything, wt lifting included. At first I didn't like using them for the wt lifting but with all the planks and pushups I really needed the support. I have gotten so used to using them that I have started using the ultra for wt lifting as well. It takes time to get used to them but after awhile you forget they are on. They frequently have specials, I got both of mine on sale which made getting both practical. Sign up for their emails so they can alert you to the sales.

I have both pairs of Wags. I agree that the padding is too much In the palm for use during lifting. I bought a pair of wrists wraps at TJMax, that I love. I can wear them in addition to my weight lifting gloves.
Here is a link. Mine are black with yellow. I paid $3.99! Same brand as these.

Do you find the wrist wraps enough for support? Or does the padding of the WAGS really make a total difference? Because right now I have lifting gloves that I put a little padding in but find I still have nothing supporting my wrists. (hope that makes sense) I was just wondering if I could just buy the wraps in addition to what I am already doing.

Thanks for the info everyone. I went ahead and got the Ultra which has the most padding and wrist support. I hope I love them because I just can't stand the discomfort anymore. I've been avoiding many moves and whole wkouts because of it. I don't want to collapse on my face! Know what I mean?

I think you will love the WAGS, they take some getting use to esp with the pushups but I cannot w/o without them. I had the same issues with wt lifting gloves esp once I started going heavier, the thicker padding in the WAGS and the added wrist support really helps.
