Watcha Doin' tonight???

I'm going downtown with a gaggle of 13 year old girls (my daughter and friends) to see some bands, go on a horse and buggy tour of historic Kingston and enjoy fireworks at 9:00. Then we'll come home, eat some appetizers and watch the ball drop from Times Square. So what are you doing tonight??

Take Care and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Laurie:)

I'll be having a quiet evening at home with DH after putting the boys to bed. Probably we'll watch one of our new DVDs we got each other for Christmas (goofy comedies like The Jerk, Blazing Saddles, Spinal Tap, The Three Amigos) or maybe I'll talk him into watching When Harry Met Sally.

I won't even get to have champagne, since I started the South Beach Diet today. I guess I'll celebrate with a glass of tomato juice. :p

Grocery shopping after work. That's probably it! Woohoo, do I know how to live it up or what?

Hey Laurie!! :) :) :)

I am doing NOTHING. Will be happily staying in. Just returned from a ski trip to Colorado (got in at about 1:30 this morning), so I'm all about post-vaca recovery time right now. And I wouldn't be surprised if I don't make it to the ball drop. *lol* However, I must admit, I'm not a big NYE person, anyway. I can take it or leave it as I find it ridiculously expensive.

Love your plan, though. Sounds fun!!

Nothing exicting. My sisters are coming over for a little while. I'll probably be in bed by 10pm...ok maybe I'll stay up until 10:30!:)

We've owned a bar and grill for 13 years and this is the first one we don't have to work on New Year's Eve. So, what are we doing????? Hanging out for a while at our bar, set up appetizers and socialize for a few hours. Then, pick up DS at a buddy's house and be home by 10PM to welcome the new year in together - for the first time. DS is actually turning down a 'buddy party' so he can celebrate with his mom and dad (Awwww). Isn't that sweet? ;-) I have to say I impressed me coming from an 11 year old!

Have a great new year everyone!
Marcia.

We always stay home for NYE. We thought about going out to dinner tonight but couldn't get reservations at our favorite restaurant, so we're having homemade Tuscan white bean soup with a slice of crusty bread, and then we're settling in on the couch for an evening of The Twilight Zone. The Scifi channel runs a TZ marathon every year on NYE/NYD and we never miss it. :D

I will be going out for dinner with the family. Italian food. Yummy;-)

Might go out, but I doubt it. And like the rest of my fit friends will most likely be asleep before the ball drops. :)

We stay home and have some friends over for drinks, food and games. We aren't able to go out since the kids are still so young. I will not get drunk, though, because last year I really regretted the following day!

We'll probably crack open a bottle of my favorite New York State bubbly, watch a movie and be in bed before midnight. LOL at how wild we are.

The last few years we went out to dinner, but the prices were so high, and the food so inferior, this year we decided to go out to dinner last night, and stay home tonight! We plan to curl up on the sofa and watch Love Actually and maybe When Harry Met Sally. :D

Hopefully finishing Zelda: Twilight Princess, and then pretending I'm REALLY tired and falling asleep early so I can avoid the New Year's Eve kiss that I don't want.

Hope you all have a safe and happy new year!

We are going to an all night skate. I hope we make it to 12!

We're having a couple neighborhood families come over... I'm making a spinach bechamel lasagne... yummy! I don't know if we'll make it till midnight, though!!! Hope everyone has a good new year's eve and a great 2008!

It is our anniversary! Yeah, getting married on NYE makes it hard for the DH to forget;)

But since we live in crazy Vegas now (in SLC we would have a big party at our house) we relax on the couch and watch Forrest Gump--our favorite feel good movie. :) whoo-hoo...let the party begin!:7

I'll be taking DD and DS up to the SO's house where we'll probably watch Scooby Doo (DS's choice) followed by Spirited Away (DD's) choice.

Then I'm sincerely hoping to be in bed before midnight - we'll see how tired DD is - she likes to stay up.
