Tonique

Out of all the tonique workouts, which would you recommend? I need to tone my thighs and hamstring area. This is the first I have heard of these workouts. I need a good leg slimmer and toner workout.

I will be anxiously watching this thread for responses as I amgetting ready to make a Tonique purchase as well. From what I hear Tonique 1 is the way to go because it has drills, standing and floor work in it. I have a feeling I will cave and get all three.

I like all three!

Tonique 1 is my favorite, but it's not for everyone. The workout is done with voice overs and that drives some people crazy. It doesn't bother me because I'm so focused on the moves, I can tune it out. I like the way the workout is segmented. Tonique 1 has been sold out for some time now, so if you're thinking about purchasing it, I would pre-order from Total Fitness DVDs.

Tonique 2 comes with 2 workouts, my favorite is disc 1. It is the most like Tonique 1, but has a few different moves that make it interesting.

The mat workout is a total bun burner with core work. Definitely worth owning. My butt is still sore from this workout Sunday.

I find that I enjoy Tonique 1 more then 2 as well. I don't mind the voice overs and find the production quality and chaptering to be much better as well. That being said though, they are all worth owning!!! Tonique mat is killer (I especially love the segment that focuses on exercises done while lying on your back) and Tonique 2 is tough stuff! There is a 10 minute upper body segment in one of the the T2 discs that gives me shoulder DOMS for days and I only use 2 or 3# DB's!!!!

I have all 3 (well 4 if you count T2 as two workouts which it is b/c of the 2 discs). If I had to purchase again I probably wouldnt get Tonique 2. Although there's no voice over I find it a bit hard to follow b/c of the language barrier there and the cueing isnt great. Plus T2 has upper body work which I find that after I do this workout I cant do an upper body workout the day after but in some ways T2 is still not a complete upper body workout, therefore I find it hard to incorporate into a rotation. I really like Tonique 1 but oftentimes I either skip the cardio drills or do my own, ie. Cathe's HiiT instead b/c the impact is a bit much. So Tonique 1 is my "standing legs" and Tonique Mat which is awesome is my "floor legs" workout. Tonique 2 just doesnt seem to have a good niche with me.
