Tell me why you love Kettlebells...

Hi there!

Well, I bought a KB and AOS Providence right after Christmas and I STILL haven't done it. I think I may be a little intimidated and find myself worried that I won't be able to do it with proper form, etc. I know it's stupid. The only way to find out is JUST DO IT! But...

I thought maybe it would help to hear stories about why you love the kettlebells in your life :D and what results you've gotten from them.

TIA!

I love them because you get a lot of work done in a very short amount of time. Also, I just find a lot of the moves to be fun. :)

I just took my first kettlebell class yesterday and I loved it! It was so fun! We did kind of a crossfit workout-3 rounds of mountain climbers/swings/pullups and then some other moves interspersed with push ups for time. Everyone went at their own pace and ability. 45 minutes flew by. I highly recommend a live class at least once to get form and moves down. I even did a Turkish get-up! I can't wait to go back for another class and to buy my own kbs and dvds, too. And I have some nice DOMS all over-bonus:)

I like them because they are unlike any workout that I own, and I think variety is really important in preventing a plateau. There is also a real fun factor to them as well. I enjoy the moves and feel so worked out after.

Kettlebells add diversity to my workouts. They work multiple body parts at the same time so I get a strength and cardio workout at once. Kettlebells have toned my shoulders, arms, abs and legs. I love taking them outside and working with them my in my yard or at a park.

Ditto to what everyone else has said. In addition, kettlebells have changed my body in ways that traditional weights and cardio never did. I started just like you - ordered a dvd, bought a kb, and followed along. It wasn't hard to catch on, and if you go to aos.com, you'll find 100's of tutorial videos showing all the basic moves. I sat down one day and watched them all. Art of Strength (aos) also has "clinic" dvds you can order. It's like having your own private instructor in your house!

You'll love them once you get started -promise!

Ditto, Ditto to what everyone else has said. KBs are a perfect addition to your current workouts. It is a great combo of working your strength, cardio & flexibility all at the same time and it is fun, fun, fun:p

i can't add much to what has already been said but i took the plunge and now may never look back.i watched A LOT of youtube vids of phil ross, AOS, steve cotter and other well known names i keep hearing about and many of them give great instruction on form. i had dh with me last night as i was practicing along and he said it looked pretty good. i think if you find a video that is good with instruction you should be fine, or BETTER yet work with a trainer. i have one of dh's co worker that helps me from time to time so i am learning a lot from him as well.

they are truly great i am in love and SORE from the workouts.
