Hi everyone.

Gayle, I decided to start a new thread for the weekend so we don't get confused. Have fun with putting with the kids & friend.

Amy, glad to hear you made it home. Hope your internet gets fixed soon. It's amazing how use to it we get.

Belinda, sounds like you have your hands full with everything going on in the next month. Hope it all goes smoothly.

This morning I got up and jogged 5K. I'm tryng it to see if I ever want enter a 5K run. My time needs some major improving before I enter. LOL.

Enjoy the weekend.

Jean

Hi, everyone!

Still thinking about Lorrie.... wow, what she must be experiencing right now!!

Well, this is a new one. We have no kids here this weekend. I decided to do Hardcore Extreme #2 plus B&G add-ons (total 95 min workout). I was in the middle of my step intervals, and DH steps out in his b-day suit and decides to join me :7 :7 :7 No there's an exercise routine with a vew ;) I'm glad he has a sense of humor.

I may shop for a new dumbbell rack today. I'm still using the little "pyramid" things that tip over if you take the weights from the bottom before unloading the top x(

Have a great Saturday, everyone!!
Cheryl

Hi everyone,

Today my DH and I cleand and sorted out our garage! I really dredded doing that! But the good news is, we are 85% done! We had to stop it got to hot in my garage. We been trying to avoid doing the garage since we moved in. When we moved from Germany (3 years ago!) we were overweight (over our authorized shipping) LOL! Well, the army wanted $3000 from us! I said to my DH there is no way, we are overweight (my fruniture!!). Beeing in the military for 24 years gives me a good idea on estimating how much furniture weighs! I got rid of a lot of stuff in Germany! Well, I had the Army take everything out of the boxes and had them reweigh the empty boxes! In Germany, the German movers charged the army to much for the shippment (they only estimated not actually weigh it)! I had them take every box, every paper and had them reweigh everything! I ended up not paying anything! You get a certain amount of weight for furniture, I know my limit!

Jean great job on your run this morning!

Cheryl where do you buy a nice dumbell rack?? I can't find any in El Paso???

Gayle I have mixed feelings about going back to Germany! It's the first time I am without my kids (Alesia today was so bummed out about me leaving, she called me from work! I am sure I will go crazy without them! Alesia and I do alot together! If push comes to shove, I will come back to my kids! My kids are everything! I have never been without them:D Hope you enjoy your evening!

I still haven't worked out! I'll better go!

Have a great weekend! Mine will be more cleaning out the garage!
Belinda
:)

Good evening girls!

Hi Jean - I loved your story about almost vacuuming up the little birdie LOL! Great job on your run/jog this morning. Have your ever ran long distances before or is this something new you are trying?

Hi Cheryl - I'm thinking about Lorrie too! Tomorrow we will be "walking" with her! I just can't wait to see pictures and hear all about it. What a great workout you had this morning. How funny about your DH - he really must have a great sense of humor. Did you find a dumbell rack? I like the ones Cathe had in her recording studio. It would be nice to have all my dumbells up off the floor.

Belinda - Glad to hear you are almost done with your garage! I'll bet you will be glad to have that job behind you. I know you and Alicia will miss each other soooo much! I'm so happy that you got to share the experience of the RT together as me and my daughter did in 2005 and you'll never forget the "bus ride" in Philly will you? When will be the first time that you will be able to return to the states?

Gayle - I hope you are having a great week-end. How did your walk go?
How are your legs feeling today?

Amy - Hope your internet is fixed soon so you can check in with us!

I did S&H biceps this morning, had a long day at work and I'm heading for my Saturday night wine! Talk to you guys later!

Still missing you bunches! Pennie

Belinda, Pennie - I found a 3 tiered dumbell rack at All Sports in Orem, Utah. Most Garts, Top 5 Sports, or anything that carries weight equipment will also carry racks.

I had to assemble it. But I figured if I can lift the weights, I can assemble the rack! I carried it upstairs in pieces and borrowed DH's wrench. It was really pretty easy. So now the dumbbells are in 3 nice even rows with the barbell plates tucked underneath.

Yes, my DH has a great sense of humor. It's one of the things I love most about him! Instead of laughing at me on my step, he joins in and makes me laugh.

Pennie, nice workout today!
You are still inspiring me. I have re-committed to 100% clean eating and have identified my trigger foods (ice cream, dark chocolate, and anything with candy or from a buffet restaurant) and they are officially GONE. I'll keep you posted on the progress.

I sure hope Lorrie's doing okay!!!!! Prayers to her tonight, and we'll all be with her in spirit tomorrow.

Have a great Saturday night, everyone!

Cheryl

Cheryl, that’s too funny about DH. Hope you were almost finished, because once that happened, I wouldn't be able to concentrate. Glad you found a weight rack. I got an A frame for Christmas, but my neoprenes don’t fit on it right. So the neoprenes just kind of hang there, while my metal ones dit solid. So far none have ever fallen off.

Belinda, way to go on the garage clean out. I keep telling DH that we need to pretend to move so we can clean some things out.

Pennie, hope you enjoyed your wine. Nice job on S & H. I haven’t done any S & H in a long time, I only have the FitTV version on tape and our VCR is kind of tempermentral. As for my jogging, I think it was last year that I got up to 4 miles, but I’ve slacked off and am having to rebuild my endurance. The most I every jogged was 6 miles. I’m really slow and would like to be able to do a consistent 10 min mile. Once I conquer endurance, I plan on concentrating on improving speed.

Hope Lorrie is doing well. Last day. 105 women strong.

This morning I did B & G timesaver.

Hope everyone enjoys what's left of the weekend.

Jean

Hey guys!

Cheryl-I would have died laughing with your DH and his birthday suit step! lol

LORRIE! I'm feeling the vibes from her today! Really feeling them! I cannot WAIT to hear how she felt thru this whole thing. For those of you who haven't done a fund-raiser or run/walk for a cause like this, the emotions are COMPLETELY overwhelming. Unbelievable, in fact! I can't wait to hear details

I have a dummbbell rack in my workout area also, from Dick's. It's 2-tiered, and it has pegs on the sides for my barbell weight plates. LOVE IT!

With the RT re-committment, I've been eating cleanly all week long. Now, I'm enjoying a large salad, getting mentally ready for a house full (or should I say yard full)! I'm having a cookout this afternoon. Making a large pork tenderloin, grilling fresh veggies from my garden (zucchini, onion, eggplant), oven-roasting my home-grown tomatoes, baked sweet potatoes, and I've already made a chocolate zucchini cake with chocolate frosting. Anybody HUNGRY???? lol

Today is a rest day for me. Much needed. S&H fried my legs the other day. Plus I'm tired. I had 'company' till 3am this morning! LOL I forget what it's like to be dating again....all these late nights! LOL

I've cleaned out, wiped down and taped off my extra bedroom, getting ready to paint it. My current project. lol

I'm DYING for a run! I haven't showered yet, so if I can find somebody to play with or watch my boys quick, I'm want to get outside for a nice run. But we'll see. That may very well NOT happen. Keeping my fingers crossed that my new TM belt arrives soon so that I can get that up and running again!

Gayle

Hi everybody!

My post RT re-commitment is serving me well - I'm eating a body-builder style routine again for awhile (5-6 small meals; little or no processed food) and that is serving me well. I've lost 2.6 lbs this week. I think kicking up the interval cardio is helping as well.

This morning I did PUB (abs first, while I'm freshest) followed by IMAX2, everything but the warm up since I was already warm. I feel great!

Gayle, company until 3 a.m.?? You two must be hitting it off with that much to talk about. That's how Vic and I got started 5 years ago.... ;-) ;-) ;-) We're a combined family and will have been married 4 years on Dec. 12 - dated a year and a quarter before we married. We both went through surprise and sad divorces - I'd been married 23 years; he'd been married 18 - our divorces happened the same year and we met about 8 months after that through friends we have in common. Everything but the combined family part (a couple of his kids) has gone very smoothly.

Pennie, yes, hope you enjoyed your date and wine last night!

Jeannie - sounds like time to replace your neoprene dumbbells maybe, so they all fit tight on the rack? }( }( }(

Gayle, that's nice to have the posts for plates. I don't have that - I tuck the plates underneath.

Belinda, congrats on the garage. That's gotta feel good.

Amy, I hope you survived work - and it was so much fun to get your phone call last night

LORRIE!!!! Our thoughts are with you!!!!
:7 :7

Have a great Sunday, everyone!
Cheryl

I'm B-A-A-A-A-A-C-K!!!!!!!!!! Missed you all bunches!!! Have lots of checking in to do and see what's been happening on the forums the last few days. Thanks for the kind thoughts, good, vibes, and positive energy!

Made it the whole way, one TEEEEENY TINY blister (the folks in medical were amazed!) Out of 1140 walkers my 2 training buds and I were in the top 15 every day. Sore ankles - arthritis knee is a bit tight and needs some more ice - but I don't think I'll tackle IMAX2 tomorrow - HA!

Good walking weather 1st 2 days - rains came overnight last night (hey hitting a portapotty at 2:30 a.m. in the pouring rain was a new experience for me.) The whole walk today was in an absolute DOWNPOUR at 58 degrees. Cold, wet, rainy, raw, but we made it - every step. They did however CANCEL closing ceremonies - so it was rather anticlimatic. We all walked into the holding area where you are supposed to walk the last mile together. Nope - they had us keep walking - then go into a hotel (really NICE of the Marriot to let us use one of their banquet rooms) announced that we'd raised 2.8 million dollars. "Thanks for coming, please go get your stuff and have a nice drive home." No tears, no hugs (we were all way too wet and freezing cold), a few high 5's and then we were on our way.

I have to go do some laundry and welcome home my monsters - will share more and check in (for real) with you all when I get caught up. Miss you guys! <<<hugs>>>

Ohmygosh, Lorrie, so glad you are safe and home!!

What a deal on the 58 degree downpour. I'm so glad that turned out to be the last day of the journey and not the first, even though it ruined the conclusion. Just glad you are safely home.

Time for a soak in the tub, eh?

And CONGRATULATIONS!!! We are all so inspired and so proud of you!!

xoxoxo,
Cheryl

Hi girls!

Cheryl - glad you got your rack. I need to go look for one too. Congratulations on your clean eating and getting rid of those triggers. It gets easier with time. Make sure to reward yourself every now and then. Yes, keep us updated and if you need any new ideas or recipes just let me know!

Jean - I did enjoy my wine, so much so I am having another glass tonight! Oh my - that will be enough for the week! Good job with the running and I know the endurance will come with time. Stay focused on your goals and you will achieve them! Keep us updated on your progress. I love B&G, I try to do the floor work every single week.

Gayle - congratulations again on your re-committment and having a week of clean eating. Your cook-out sounds like it will be wonderful!
So glad to hear you are having fun with all your "late nights". Do all of the kids get along ok? Keep us updated. I hope you get that run in tonight. You are amazing - so many things going on at once!

LORRIE!!!!CONGRATULATIONS GIRL!!!! I'm so happy you are back and that you had a wonderful experience! TOP 15 - YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!! And only one teeny blister - wow! Sorry about the rain you had today and that they cancelled the closing ceremonies but it doesn't take away from your amazing accomplishment. I am so proud of you! Have fun with your "little monsters" and come back and share more when you get a chance.

My workout was S&H legs, KP&C cardio (30 min) and B&G bonus abs

Good night girls - talk to you tomorrow!

Love and hugs, Pennie

Hey, gang!!!

Lorrie- I am so glad that you made it without too much trouble/injury! I work pink all weekend for you!!! I can't wait to hear more about it, and I am sorry that the closing stuff was anti-climactic.

Gayle- I'm with you on the clean eating re-commitment!!! I'm back in the saddle again, myself!

Pennie- It's great to see you!! Wow on the workout!

Cheryl-It was all I could do to wait until yesterday to call you! I miss you!
