Stacey Steahle vs Cathe

Hey! I don't know if I spelled her name correctly but has anyone tried any of her workouts, especially the kickboxing? I love Cathe and I am really not interested in anyone else, BUT I came upon her website and viewed several of the kickboxing workouts. I will admit, they do look pretty good!

Let me know!

Thanks,
Kristen

I am thinking of getting her kb work out as well so I'd like to know too! I'm also considering her Sculpting vid.

I have her Parts Series vid and have done the upper and lower body work outs. I really liked them!:)

Many people love her kickboxing, especially the latest one, but I traded it away along with the sculp. I could not get motivated to do Cardio Sweatfest or Sculpt Sweatfest again and I really, really tried to do them again before trading (tried several times). The cardio bored me to tears and I can't put my finger on why I didn't like the weight work. Some moves were very advanced but other moves I felt like I was wasting my time. I do think Sculpt SF would be good for recovery workouts/weeks but I just didn't think I would do it enough to warrant keeping it. I liked her first set and the potential I saw there but her style seems to keep changing and I just feel like I don't know what to really expect from her. It seems that she tries to please too many people and she does please a lot of them...just not me. I am keeping an eye on her upcoming kickboxing but I hope she puts up a really long clip showing various parts of the workout before I decide to take advantage of the pre-sale. I'm just very hesitant as I haven't kept anything I've preordered from her since her first set (actually I didn't even order this lastest set so I guess I've only done 2 preorders with her).

I am not a fan of Tracey's kickboxing or her sculpting. I really enjoy her step workouts, I think she has a great level of creativity.
But, having said that, I felt her kickboxing was boring and not very motivating. Her sculptfest left me scratching my head wondering what she was trying to accomplish, I just didn't feel the workout was very cohesive.

Connie,
I loved HISM but feel like she's digressed from that, making her step workouts "easier" to accomodate those who don't like complex choreography. Do you find her other two step workouts comparable to HISM intensity wise and choreography wise? TIA!
Angela:)

Angela,

I just did HISM 2 and found the choreography a bit easier than HISM 1. I was able to get HISM 2 much better the first time around. I think she breaks things down just a bit more in HISM 2. Now that I know the order of how she does things, it's much easier. I like that she reviews the previous step combo after each interval. It makes you really get the choreography down pat. I burned 553 calories on HISM 2 and over 500 on HISM 1. Some of the intervals in HISM 2 are tuck jumps, over the step double time (16x), burpees with a twist and jump twists with a medicine ball.

As far as Step Sweatfest, Section 1 is more broken down than Section 2. Section 2 is like HISM 1 as far as breakdown (very little to none). Step Sweatfest is not as intense as the HISMs but the HISMs have the interval blasts and Step Sweatfest is steady state.

I'm happy to say I've enjoyed all of Tracey's step workouts. Even though it was the hardest for me, I think I enjoyed HISM the most. I'm a lover of complex choreography and these definitely satisfy me and don't leave me bored.

Angela,

I did find HISM 2 to be easier, as Tracey had promised there would be more breakdown as opposed to HISM. Step Sweatfest is more similar to HISM in the first section, and the second section is strictly a "follow along" approach to each combo, but is more complex accordingly.

I like her choreography and I find it refreshingly complex and perhaps dancier than my other new fav, Amy Bento. I am a variety junkie, so there is a definite place in my library for Tracey, as long as it is cardio!:+

I have her KB (cardio sweatfest) and really enjoy it. Sometimes I put on 1 lb gloves for an extra challenge, but I also find it's challenging as is. I'm looking forward to her new one.

I actually like kimblerly spreen's kickboxing a lot better. I recently got new dvds for amy bento ( I like her kickboxing too), tracey steahle and kimberly spreen and tracey is my least favorite.

Thanks Connie and Marcy! I'm glad you are enjoying her step workouts. The way you described Step SF and HISM II are the reasons I did not order them. I was hoping she would stay with her original style. Oh well. It's a good thing I gave up on Tracey's preorders b/c I was spending too much money anyway. Now I just have to decide between Amy, Cathe, new CIA's, new TLT's (if those ever get made), a new Barry's Boot Camp that I heard a rumor somewhere was being filmed, and still toying with the idea of P90X...LOL! At least I'm down one instructor!
