Wednesday means HALFWAY THERE!!!! I need a weekend!
I was in a bit of a funk last night so we skipped our WO. Today is a scheduled rest day so I'll do my WO during Julia's afternoon nap.

Nina, I use a recipe from allrecipes.com called "easy broccoli quiche" - YUM! And I use egg substitute (egg whites).
Klaudia, what workout did you decide on? Collin's preschool has not had any H1N1 yet, but it's only a matter of time...
Anne, my race is Nov. 8th - about 2.5 weeks! We will head to the beach on Friday, race is on Sunday, and come home Monday. How was the salon?
Colleen, how are those legs feeling this morning from yesterday's STS? How about your allergies?
Wendy, Happy Belated Birthday! Please don't be afraid of running - I am pretty sure I know exactly how I hurt myself. Around mile 11, I decided to change my route home and picked a very hilly road - steep hills up and down. I am almost certain that I did something running DOWNHILL to hurt myself. Plus I was way tired by that point in the run and my form was probably sloppy.
Kate, glad you are feeling better. Did you get lots done yesterday?

Yesterday was a 100% clean day for me! I stuck to my meal plan like a champ. Will do so again today.

The not-so-good news -- I spent most of yesterday in an ankle brace and/or icing my big toe on my left foot. My ankle feels totally fine this morning, toe feels better but not 100%. I think I have aggravated a ligament or tendon in the top of my foot/big toe. Ice and ibuprofen for at least one more day, and maybe a run tomorrow, we'll see.

Today's meal plan:

b cereal, skim milk
s banana, hb egg
l BLT sandwich
s trail mix (nuts/raisins/craisins)
d tacos for the fam, taco salad for me

I did get quite a bit done, but I had to take Isabel up to school for a Kindergarten thing. Made dinner late which made everything in the evening late. I am truly happiest when I never have to leave the house!!!:eek::p

gotta go to my waking babe.....go see her smiling face. My goal today is to find JOY in EVERYTHING I do/see/experience. Wish me luck!!!!

dh leaves tomorrow:(:( i need to perk up my attitude and focus on making the kids happy while he is gone. i had a lovely run outsdie this am, and my plan tomorrow, if dh cooperates, is to go for a very very long run - 18-20plus miles. dh will have to get kiddos ready, though, and i am not sure if he can before work. after i accomplish that, i will take it easy running for a week and focus on insanity. i am going to tune out the scale too:mad:

goals today: follow kates (joy in everything, esp all my snuggly boys)
good attitude about dh's trip (hey, at least i am NOT working - 1 less tyhing to worry about)
planned afternoon snack and nothing else around it:eek: (yougart, fruit, and carrots)

I was sooooo tempted to weigh myself this morning....so I ran out of the bathroom as fast I could!:p Started chugging water beacuse I refuse to weigh myself after I start consuming for the day!:p

ok, I totally do NOT know what I'm eating today but am determined to keep the clean eating up and get it even tighter. Bfast was oats/apples - mmmmm! Sprinkled some gluten-free yummy stuff on top fro crunch. It's actually brown rice pressed to be like granola and mixed w/ raisins - soooo good!

Did I find Joy ???? YES, I did !!! The sun is shining and I was BLASTING away ....my legs WERE screaming but I found joy in the fact that I was making them even stronger !!

Morning!

It's a warm, wet day here. But I'll take it! Got my workout done yesterday-MM upper body, going as heavy as I could. Today will be cardio-4DS KB and abs I think. Got lots of cleaning/tidying to do too.

Katie, did Colling get vaccinated for the flu? The girls got their seasonal shot, but not the H1N1 yet-not sure what to do about it once MI gets it. Rest that leg/foot! My friend ran the Detroit Marathon on Sunday and her feet are a disaster-7 blisters and 3 missing toenails! But she's already planning her next one!

Kate, I need a weekend too-one that's not chock full of stuff! Awesome goal! I need to be more mindful like that.

Becky, Good for you! This morning I was thinking about my mom. She has MS. Yesterday she was walking down our driveway w/ her little hobble I'm used to seeing. Mike asked me if she's been limping for a long time or had he just noticed. I said she's been like that for a while and she likely won't walk "better" than that anymore. Made me so thankful for being healthy and able to move when and how I want. So much to be thankful for, huh?

Good Morning Everyone!

This morning was Imax 3 and my legs were screaming by the end. It was a fun workout. I have been thinking that I was overworking my body by running, doing weights and cardio, so I am scaling back for the next couple of weeks. I am going to finish the Oct. rotation as is and then figure out how to incorporate running into my Nov. rotation.

Kate, I love your goal for the day. I am going to make it my goal too.
Klaudia, it's so frustrating when the camera battery dies.
Katie, take care of your foot. You don't want to have to skip your marathon because of an injury.
Becky, good job adding abs onto Imax 3!
Angie, hope you have a safe trip.
Nina, I hope you get your long run in tomorrow.
Robin, you asked about Jari Love - I have some of her older workouts - Ripped to the Core, Ripped and Slim & Lean. They are very repetitive so I don't do them that often. LMK if you want to borrow one.

So we are going out to lunch to say farewell to my coworker and friend who is leaving. Will try to keep it clean but it is his choice of restaurant so I can't plan ahead.
 
pictures at school in a few, so i will be gone a bit. also trying to make cc cookies for dh's trip. yes, i did have 10 choc chips. but that is it! and no batter! i NEED to tighten up my eating. it is making me more stressed.

Nina, Accountable????? Thanks for the reminder.... I had some oatmeal/apple stuff leftover from breakfast. Picked at it from the fridge while I got some juice for Isabel. Yes, it was clean but I didn't need it. It just TASTES SO GOOD!! NO MORE!!!!

Altho when I took that online what breed of dog are you it came back Poodle. Very picky and somewhat arrogant. Hmmm....
