Some Pics of Gayle's Disney Marathon experience

Great photos! Thanks for sharing. Looks like there were tons of people watching the marathon and cheering the runners.:)

Thanks, Jeany, for sharing these photos with the gang here! I am still working on getting mine up somewhere! SOON!

My favorite, the one that brought tears to my eyes, was the shot of my boys sitting in the dark on the ground. TROOPERS, they are!

Thanks!

As for the spectators, there were people almost EVERYWHERE we ran! There were a few back-road stretches of a few miles that were quiet and rather lonely (no spectators, that is), but the majority of the run was crowded with people. My mom said, though, that everybody was real understanding, especially at the finish line. People would stand there to see their person running, then get down for others to step up!

SO GLAD I DID THIS!

What an incredible accomplishment Gayle...all the way around. You look great in the pics!..Thanks to Jeanie for sharing them....So when is the next marathon for you...???... }( ..Carole

Carole-you darn runners have me addicted now! BF came by tonight for dinner and he looked at me and asked what was wrong! LOL. My answer? I told him that all day long, I kept thinking what race/run I was going to do NEXT! LOL. People warned me that I'd either hate running or love running. Turns out, so far, I LOVE IT!

So, here's what I've got...10K on Feb 5th (Super Bowl Sunday), half marathon in April (Runner's World) and I'm in the market for another marathon by year's end!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!

Gayle

p.s. I can't help but think that in the pic with me and my medal, I look bulky up top....I keep telling myself it's the layers I was wearing! LOL

Congrats Gayle! Great job!

I was in Olando last weekend and saw many of the participants wearing their t-shirts. Wasn't the weather just beautiful? (At least it was Sunday and Monday -- we didn't arrive until Sat.)

Oh, JeanneMarie! It was so exciting to walk around with the shirts and with the medals! I wore my medal (the huge honkin' Mickey head that is was. lol) for Sunday and Monday, but after that I just had to leave it at the resort. It clanged everywhere I went and being that I was limping a bit, it was clanging LOUDLY! LOL

The weather was cold for marathon (and half) weekend, but turned GORGEOUS 73+ degrees Monday thru Wednesday for the rest of our stay! BEAUTIFUL!

Awesome pix! Jean, thanks for posting them. Gayle, you look amazing, not bulky at all! I am just in awe of someone who can run that far. You are DEFINITELY a runner NOW! Yeeeeah! Also, you don't even look like you ran in your pix. You look so fresh! YOU GO GIRL...CONGRATS!
