Just getting us started.

I decided that I'd like to do the whole BM2 together, instead of splitting it up. So I did KPC today. Tomorrow I will do BM2 in its entirety.

I would've run today, but DH is still gone so he couldn't stay at the house with the kids while I ran. He'll be back tomorrow night. So I'll run on Wednesday.

KPC is lots of fun. I'm really enjoying rediscovering my Cathe workouts. :)

Good Morning!

Today was a 3 mile run and then 4ds KB/BC. I have the day off for Columbus Day and so decided to do the extra cardio.....whew!:p
I have sung the praises of Cathe's workouts to quite a few people through the years, and finally a friend told me that she purchased KickMax. Now this woman works out a a gym and is in great shape, but she said KM was way too tough!:eek: But, she did like her SM purchase.:)

Laura~I am wondering if while we are both training for our Half we will be able to also do STS. That may be a good question for Cathe.

Gin--I'm not the expert, but my guess is that, yes, we could combine those. If we did 3 days of running we could have 3 days to do weights. Of course, that doesn't leave room for any cross training cardio. Also, we'd have to take into account the fact that we need to taper our training pre-race. So we might have to postpone a week of STS in order not to over train. It'd be a good question to ask, though.

Probably what I'm going to do is just wait until March to start STS, though. In fact, I'm not even sure when I'll have STS in hand. I don't like to depend on overseas shipping here for something that valuable, so we usually wait and have someone bring it who is flying over. We have visitors coming in Dec, but I'm not sure if their schedule will match the STS release date. If that doesn't work, I may be waiting till February anyway, because I know we have friends coming then. :confused:
 
Today was BM2, minus the abs, which I simply ran out of time to do. I was running out of energy, too! I'm planning to come back later and do the abs.

Jumping with Cathe is, I think, good prep for a half marathon. I had a lot of fun and worked hard today!

Hello.

I am trying to post while my DH is holding the baby. I have been reading everyone's posts, but haven't had free hands to reply.
Yesterday, I went to my gym to workout. I did a 30 min toning class and a 60 min step class. I was excited to see all of the "regulars" that I had not seen in awhile. I pretty much worked out at home only while I was pregnant. I enjoyed my class, but I missed seeing Cathe!!
I think DH's parents are going to watch Finley tomorrow after work, so I am planning on doing a longer Cathe workout tomorrow:):)

Laura...Thanks again for all of your encouragement:)!!! I am glad you enjoyed BMax 2! I love that one. Maybe I will do that one tomorrow!! Have a good run tomorrow.

Gin...I did 2 half days the last 2 weeks and I am doing 2 full days this week. Finley has gone to sleep at 1230 the last few nights and I am SO excited!! I am hoping the trend will continue and that she will go to bed earlier one day!! I am starting to want to run now after seeing you and Laura talk about your Halfs!! Maybe one day??

Lara--Yeah for helpful DH and Mom to hold Finley while you post and workout! :D

I did a three mile run today and made it all the way around with no walking--including all 5 hills! I have to learn to think of running here more like an Imax than a steady state cardio. It's aerobic on the flat part, and then a "blast" up the hill and then "recovery" down hill. The difference is that I have only 5 cycles instead of 7 or 10. But I did much better today in pacing myself by realizing that it's not a steady exertion.

Gin--how are you? Are you already formally training for the 1/2? That schedule is only 10 weeks, so I'm thinking that I'm just going to build up my running endurance for now.

And Lara--if you make it through BM2 this soon after delivery, I will be in awe.
I did that on Tuesday and was WIPED out. And it's been 4 years since I delivered! ;)
 
Hello.

I was able to do BMax 2 yesterday. Laura...I was SO tired after that, but felt great!! I did have to pause it a few times to recover, but I am happy that I was able to get through it!!
I am doubting I will be able to w/o today. All of my aunts are in town for a huge craft fair that is here. We went to luch with them all and now I need to do paperwork . I think I am too tired anyway after BM2 yesterday (and Finely's 230 am bedtime). Hopefully tomorrow.

Laura...WTG on not stopping to walk!!! Especially on those hills!! I wish I could do that!! You have a good way of looking at it to get yourself through. I am so thankful to have my mom and DH around to watch Finley on the days I want to exercise.

Today was just a run and notihng else, Laura!;) Yesterday I did ME and tomorrow will be PUB.
I am leaving in the moring to go to Houston for my 30th HS reunion. That 's how OLD I am!!:eek:

Laura~I may post a question to Cathe concerning the half training and STS. I would like to start STS in Jan, but I understand your thiniking you may not get it for a while.
WTG with you hill running!! That is the same as speed work.:p I'm thinking that the training schedule begins with 6 miles, so I need to slowly increase to 6 and then begin the training.

Lara~I read about some celebrity that named their baby Finley and now I don't remember who.
Did you see on the OD that Kate delivered her baby herself in her bathroom this week?:eek: She went into labor too quickly. She was on the July RT 6 months pg.

Hey gals.

We're headed on vacation on Monday, so I'll be out of pocket for a week. I'll be back in touch when we get home.

Today I'm going to run--but I can't do it this morning, so it'll have to be this afternoon. The sun'll be too hot to do it outside by that point, so it means I'll have to go to our tiny gym at the local hotel. I'm thrilled that we at least have a treadmill in town, but it's in a tiny room with not enough air circulation. I really hate to run there. But it's better than nothing. Tomorrow I'm going to try to squeeze in a leg workout. Then we leave Monday.

We're going to the ocean, so I'll spend the next week running on the sand. I've done that before. You can't beat it for gorgeous, but it is HARD work running on the sand. It looks so glamorous when you watch Chariots of Fire, but it is TOUGH!

So hugs and waves till I see you again.

Gin--Robin started a new check in a couple weeks ago called PEEPS. She and Heather and I from this check-in are on it, plus Catherine from the 07 Road Trip. Also elliemom, who I saw met you on this year's RT is on it. So, I know Lara said that she checked it out and it was just too busy for her. But I wanted to let you know that several old PYGFOers were over there. Liann has also stuck her head in a time or too. Everyone is welcome.

Today my DS has a piano recital. I've been teaching him at home, and he knows 10 whole songs by memory. We're going to have a little recital and reception at our house today. I did most of the baking and cleaning yesterday, so it's just tying up lose ends today. Plus packing for our trip! I tried to persuade him to wait until we got home to do the recital, but he was afraid he'd forget all his songs. So, today it is. Wow.

29 ALMOST 30 whaaaa!!!! NO MORE B-DAY'S!!! Hi ladies! Little hungover last night and it wasn't quite my b-day but my friends where telling the bartenders that my b-day was in 2 hrs:) And tonight i'm goin out:)! Oh well i'm getting my party on I don't go out much LOL! Today heavy cardio to sweat out the alcohol! Yesterday did 4DS bi's tris LIC abs only. We'll see if I start workin out now or go back to bed mmm.....
