I know someone that has this. Thanks for putting this post out there. It's such an aweful thing to think about. But, there are many that suffer this aweful disorder.

There is an article in the July 2005 Money magazine about a couple who has a young daughter with this disease. I had never heard of it before, but it really opened my eyes!

I saw a special Dateline show about this. It was really sad and such a hard thing to deal with for the parents. ;( I feel bad for anyone who has this.

Prevalence: 1:12,000- 15,000 (both sexes, all races)

So, 1 in every 12 to 15 thousand births.
