powerstrike

I have been reading in this formum about powerstrike. Can anyone give me a little more detail such as how long is warm up, the actual workout time, cool down? Also, how does it compare to Cathe's workouts? Do they do anything else beside kickbox, for example is there an ab section? Is it all cardio?
thanks for your help - it will help me decide whether to buy it.

It's all cardio but kickboxing works the abs within the workout.
Intensity wise, it is like Cathe's workouts, but the 3 Powerstrikes I have (M-1, M-2, M-3) are all low impact, no jumping or plyo moves, but the speed of the workout keeps the intensity high.
The warm ups are about maybe 10min, and the cooldowns about 5min or so. The total workout from start to finish is 60min on all 3 videos.

Nothing I've found equals Cathe's intensity, but I do have to give Powerstrikes a "thumbs up" for coming in close.

Now, not everyone likes the newest Powerstrike M-3, but I do! It is a bit more organized than the previous M-1 and M-2 workouts, and works the body more evenly than the other 2 workouts. The previous ones first worked one side of your body, then moved to the other, but M-3 works them evenly switching from side to side with each new combo.
But they are intense kickboxing workouts, and I like them 2nd to Cathe's CK and CTX kickbox.

Ditto on everything Donna said. (with the exception I don't have PS-3 YET) They are the closet workouts, intensity wise, to Cathe. Be prepared to be sore! :)

Thanks Debbie and Donna. I think I might look into buying the third one first and if I like it I may buy the first and second one.

Thanks gals! I think I am going to buy the 3rd one. I have been looking for some new non-step workouts for my lower intensity days since I have had some overtraining signs. These sound like they might be good! Plus the "soreness" sounds good too! Do you know if the powerstrike website is the only place to get them?

Also - can you recommend any other good non-cathe videos? I have all the reebok ones and some of the Karen Voight old ones.

Thanks again!

Pammer!

I think that their website is the only place to get them, unless of course you would see them at an exchange or E-bay. I think I have their telephone # somewhere around here if you'd like me to post it tomorrow. Just let me know.
