Oxygen abs move

I saw a great move in the special abs edition. Maybe some of you have seen it, but I tried it today and it's awesome.

You sit in a V crunch position. Take a med ball (I used 8lb) and thread the ball under and over one leg and around the next (in a figure 8 pattern). Repeat ten times. This took a lot of core stabilization just to hold the position. Fantastic.

Thought I'd share.

Now, shoo. Go do it.

Debbie

I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready!

Shannon, yes ma'am..you're sitting in a V, so torso elevated and legs elevated.

Now? Really? You want me to do it right now, in the middle of my Pro/Engineer class? I really don't think the instructor's gonna like this, but if you insist....

Mindy Myrea does this in at least one of her workouts. And Tony Horton does a similar exercise (minus the med ball, but I add one) in some of his workouts. It is very effective (or at least feels like it!).
