OT/House Plans

Roses

My husband and I have been searching for a while, but can't seem to find the plan we want. I have an architect friend who will rearrange some existing plans, but she has a new baby :) and doesn't have the time to completely create new plans. I looked at books at Lowe's, Menards, and they all seem like the same old plans.

Does anyone know of some good books or web sites with some nice designs? I've looked a lot at dongardner.com but most of his don't have a room directly above the garage. Just hoping someone had some good ideas.

TIA...Sami

Hi Sami,

This sounds like a fun project!! I was going to suggest some of the home plan magazines that I usually see in drug stores or book stores. If you're looking for something really different, I've sometimes seen plans geared toward log or cedar homes (not that you'd have to go with log or cedar).

A quick Yahoo search turned up this link: http://www.rickgarner.com/

I'm sure you could find lots more. Good luck! :)

Hi Sami,
Did you check out the library? Our local one has TONS of books with every type of house you can imagine... log, colonial, ranch, capes.
