I just watched the short clip of the upcoming Hiit upper body wkout. My question is......for someone w/ freakishly small, itty bitty wrists, should I be thinking of getting gloves or some sort of wrist guard. I saw push-ups etc. When I do wkouts w/ a lot of upper body stuff that includes burpees, push ups and so on, my wrists take a beating. This wkout looks great AND a lot of fun. I don't want to dislike it or avoid it because of small wrists. I don't see Cathe and team wearing anything......

Any thoughts?

If your wrist takes a beating, I would recommend looking into getting some type of wrist guard. I know once in a while my wrists will start to bother me if I'm doing a rotation that has a lot of push-ups or plank work, I would either use dumbbells or the push up handles. That helps take the stress off the wrist.

Hope this helps!

My wrists bothered me big time during certain moves. Doing PiYo has helped. The planks and burpees have strengthened my wrists. My wrists don't bother me any more. Keep doing planks etc. your wrists will become stronger.

You should look at the gloves called WAGS, wrist assured gloves. They make 3 styles, I use them for everything! The ultra wraps have generous padding in the palm with wrist wraps. The pro had the same padding but no wrist wrap, the flex has a little less padding. The flex are the ones i prefer, I use the ultra when I do Horizontal conditioning due to all the plank work. I would recommend getting a pair of each(the flex, and either the ultra or pro) to see what works for you. They are a little pricy but they frequently have sales.
