My head fell off!

Tonight I was finishing up RWH: Back, Shoulders, and Biceps and was enjoying the stretch portion when we got to the part where you rotate your head to the side to ease tension. Cathe warned us, "only turn your head as far as it will allow"....I've done this stretch portion many times and wondered what would happen if I turned my head further than it would allow: well, mine fell right off! I think that this is going to impact my future workouts, but I am going to try to push through this obstacle. I am not going to be a crybaby about it. I should have listened to Cathe's warning but my curiosity got the best of me. Maybe a nice Epsom salt soak will help.
 
Ouch...ouch ouch!!! The neck is delicate .....I wouldnt “push through“ too hard if I were you. Epsom soak sounds nice and sleep with a a couple of wash clothes rolled up under your neck if you do not already have one of those cervical pillows. Id also stay off the shoulder work for two days. I know you`re hard core and all, but you dont want that neck cracking off! ; ) Your head depends on it.
 
Well, great news, just finished and my head is still on. However, my arms are not working correctly. I upped my weight and cannot feel my biceps. How am I going to wash my hair now!!!! Funny how we complain about the torture Cathe gives us but we just keep coming back for more. Tomorrow is a leg day so I'll be back for more fun torture then. Have a great evening everyone.
 
Nancy, thank heavens you posted this! I did this workout yesterday and was so enjoying the stretch at the end that I *almost* forgot to stop turning my head! Fortunately, your story was still fresh in my mind, and I remembered to put the brake on. Thank you so much for being courageous enough to share your story with the rest of us. You are a true inspiration and a role model of someone who used to have a good head on her shoulders. I hope you take pride and comfort in knowing that you have helped at least one Cathelete keep her head on straight.
