LEGS...Treadmill

Since my knees wont go for high impact, has anyone gotten some seriously killer legs with high intensity walking on a treadmill. I would love to run, but it ain't happenin'!

Thanks.

Good Question, I would like to know this as well.

I think I learned the hard way that my knees can't handle the high impact anymore...I guess I'm getting old :(

I think that walking is the same as running, just slower and better for your joints/body, etc. You should still be able to get some good legs from walking.

Try www.itread.com or www.cardiocoach.com

They both offer workouts that you can use while walking. They ask you to increase the pace, but offer walking pace suggestions and then you also raise the incline to give you a better workout.

I don't have any knee issues (so far!!), but can you still do inclines at a walking pace and not have it bother you?

I second the iTreads...love them! I do the jogging/running, but I think the walking ones are probably pretty tough because Grace sets pretty high speeds. Also, some of her inclinces go up a to 10-12% grade! They are GREAt workouts!!!
