Led Zeppelin fans

Beavs

Cathlete
Forgive my goofy post but I am just dang happy to see a whole new generation of fans fired up about seeing these guys who are in their sixties. I discovered Led Zeppelin when I was eleven and they were my gateway drug for my musical addiction that is going strong today (aided today in part by Napster). I only wish I could have been in London yesterday!!

In fact, I've noticed young teenagers all the way through people in their late sixties at the Allman Bros and Phil Lesh shows I went to this past year. Now that is just cool.

So, what's you favorite Led Zeppelin tune?
Mine: The Rover and No Quarter

OOOHHHHH ME ME! I love "In the Evening", it gives me goosebumps and is definitely my fave.

I am just as goofy...I still think Robert Plant is hot! ;)

Kashmir. I love when Led Zep comes on the radio - they seem to play them a lot round these parts. It's just timeless.

I bought my DH the Alison Kraus/Robert Plant CD for Christmas, and it's killing me. I want to open it and play it sooooooo bad. My favorite Led Zepplin songs: Thank You and Ramble On...

Too many to choose from but singing along with Misty Mountain Hop is so fun and makes me very happy:7. My 16 year old recently thanked me for allowing them to grow up with Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Pink Floyd....her friends are just discovering these bands but they are the stuff she's made of. I was thrilled to bits to see that my current Rolling Stone magazine had the surviving band members on the cover and they still have all of their hair!!:+

Take Care

ETA ~ Stephanie, I bought Allison and Robert's CD about a month ago, it's awesome! Beautifully ambient and melodically gorgeous! Worth the wait for sure!

I love Led Zeppelin! Don't listen to them on a regular basis or anything, but two songs that standout for me are 'Kashmir' and "Ramblin" or something like that!:)

Wow..too many to choose from but I really like "Kashmir" and "Going To California". After taking the quiz, it's "Whole Lotta Love" which I also happen to love!

If anyone has XM radio, they have a Led Zeppelin channel now. I think it's 59.

HA HA!

I guess "In the Evening" is not my fave according to this quiz...Pretty funny! What is even funnier...I am the same as Beavs! :)

You Are
When The Levee Breaks
You are a dominating person. People don't stand in your way. Everybody basically does what you say. And if they don't, they better start, or you just might have one of your henchmen kill them.

Just like "When the Levee Breaks" dominates Led Zeppelin IV, you dominate your world. You don't have time for nonsense (it's surprising you even took this quiz) and you would love to be dictator of the world someday.

You are dark and scary, and you probably don't at all care about this quiz, if you even bothered to read your results.

This is such a cool thread. I have the 4 CD box set that came out about 10 years ago and I was ripping them to MP3's the other night ago for my ipod. Every song I listened to was like "ooh, this one is my favorite..." then I'd hear another and that one was my favorite too. Way too hard to choose just one. Probably though it would be between Immigrant Song and Going to California. All of them bring back so many memories.

Oh my gosh this is so not me!!! I can't believe how wrong they got this one. I mean, sheesh I've heard every zep tune there is and I can't stand top 40. Um but I do love Radiohead and Dave Matthews...:)

Stairway To Heaven

You're probably really satisfied at this result. Why? Because it's the only Led Zeppelin song you've ever heard. You are a Top 40 junkie, although you probably think you're hip because you listen to "underground", "cool" bands like Dave Matthews and Radiohead. Frankly, my dear, you are a fad.

You wear Old Navy. You follow all the trends. You answered all the quiz questions with the most boring, uninspired choices. You are probably really popular. People who know nothing will always consider you really cool, but the people who really matter will not care much about you because there are way more people out there who are more interesting than you are.

Another Led-head here, but my hubby and I always laugh about the latest "geezer tour" to come around the bend.

Cheers!

Susan L.G.

Definitely a Ledhead here! I bought their album the day it arrived on iTunes. They were the first band I searched for on iTunes. I would LOVE to see them in concert! There is sooo much of theirs I like I can't pick one! Last night my husband snagged a pair of tickets to see Van Halen!I can't wait!
Rock on,
Ellen

Huh. That's funny. Zeppelin was my gateway drug to, ummmm, drugs.

You know, my first concert ever was gonna be their tour in 1980. Had tickets & everything. How very inconsiderate of Mr. Bonham to choke on his own vomit & ruin the show.

My favorite Led Zeppelin song: Street Corner Girl. I've always loved that song. :)

ETA: I'd just heard on the news last week that they were number one on the charts for the first time in about 30 years. How very freaky! :+

I love Led Zeppelin and how I wish I could have been at the show!! When I was in 8th grade I can remember recording every single song off the radio in alphabetical order on my tape player( there was a radio tribute program) .I wouldn't eat ,pee move an inch I just sat there so intent and excited. i still have an original Song Remains the Same concert t-shirt from the late 70's that my Dad gave me that I keep in a special place. My daughter who is now 4 loves it when I sing her Stairway to Heaven at bedtime . There are just way too many songs that are great for so many different reasons to choose just one.:D
