Jogglers November 2013

Cathlete
I have just a few more days to finish this project. It gets turned in on Tuesday. I'm tired. I stayed up and watched Scandal last night:D Its time to make hot chocolate and to work on the computer all day long.

Ug I am so over this project. So over it.

I will catch up on personals on Monday. Hopefully by then I will have the time to come up for air.

Alisha

TGIF!

I took a rest day yesterday and will do so again today. Tomorrow I'm doing a 10K Twilight Run. It's a 3 hour drive and will be stay over tonight and will come back on Sunday. It's a flat course maybe I will finally get a 10K PR.

Alisha ~ I hope the project will be over soon. Enjoy your hot chocolate.

Hi Tricia!

Hi ladies!

Alisha - You're almost there! You can make it!

Jane - Good luck on your race! Sending you good thoughts and positive energy! Hope you get that PR!

Stephen is at a friend's house for dinner tonight in CT. I was going to go, but the thought of driving 2 hours each way and the pups being cooped up until midnight or later was not very appealing to me. Sigh. These are the only "friends" we have. At least Stephen got to go.

Have a wine tasting tomorrow and maybe golf on Sunday. I have to put my new wine batch in for 2nd fermentation on Sunday also. Lots to do this weekend!

Have a great nigh! Happy November! (I think.)

It feels like this project will never end. I have to review about 3500 lines of data in Excel, luckily its not as bad as it sounds. The only looming thing is the deadline which is Tuesday. Now they are telling me I can give them a piece of it at a time. Well, we didn't design it to be turned in one piece at a time. I didn't make cupcakes, I'm baking a cake, I can't turn in one piece of data, its like asking for a slice out of a cake. Its ridiculous. So no time for exercise. I could play the 'If only' game but I don't have the time.

Had to take my Mom to the eye doctor yesterday. Looks like she is going blind. This is bad as she is an artist. Its just as well that she is retiring in two weeks. Poor Mama.

Catch personals as soon as I'm not chained to my computer.

Alisha

Alisha - Ugh! Just get it done, girl! I know you'll be glad when it's over and you can breathe again!

I'm sorry about your mom's eyesight. Anything at all they can do to at least slow it down?

Take care and catch you on the flip side of this project!

Hi Jane!

Nothing new and exciting here. Worked on my wine, went grocery shopping . . . that's about it!

Tomorrow is Monday. Damn, that came way too fast this weekend! 3 more weeks and I'm on vacation for Thanksgiving! Gotta put together my menu for this year.

I've been given the clearance to finish one third tomorrow and then turn in the last two thirds in a few days. Closer to finished than I thought. IT is really helping me out these days (aka my older brother.) He is great with wrangling people and data bases. Now, if I could only get him into walking and weight lifting he would have the confidence to find a nice lady and get married. I have to work on that. I bet he would love pyramids. I like those premixes.

Of course, thats the pot calling the kettle unfit, I'm not dating right now either.:p:eek:

Catch ya later!

I'm back.

The race was fun but it was not flat. Not sure where I got that idea but the course said fast and I guess I thought fast meant flat but apparently not. It was incredibly beautiful day. We ran through the Fantasy Light display which is not as pretty as it would have been if it was dark. The scenery was beautiful and the leaves were changing colors so nature made up for that fact. They were also playing Christmas music the whole way. I did not set a PR but the race was nice anyway.

I got home Sunday morning at around 10 and did not sit down until afternoon. I was so busy doing chores. Then did a workout in the afternoon with my sister. That involved running, push ups, sit ups, squats, jump squats, mountain climbers and swings.

Tonight will be an upper body workout.

I'm trying to get my front and back doors replaced and it's a pain in the butt. I finally asked the guy that is installing them for me to come out and measure for me because I don't want to order the wrong size. I know what I want but measuring is not my thing. I can't wait for them to get fixed. The front door is rusting and yukky and I can't even get the back door open because the door knob is broken. I hate doing home repairs because I don't have the time to do them and it's hard to schedule someone when you work in a different state.

Alisha ~ It sounds like you are in the home stretch. Keep on pushing towards the end. I'm sorry about your mom's eyesight.

Tricia ~ The weekend does go by fast, doesn't it. I feel like I don't get anything done especially when I have to go to mom's on the weekends.

Evening ladies!

Alisha - Glad you can submit it in parts! Great that your brother is such a big help, too! Just know that if you get your brother married, he won't have time to assist you any more! ;)

Jane - That race sounds lovely, PR or no PR! I hate home repairs too. My car has a leak again. Le Sigh. It's getting old. Just don't know that we can get a new one. I was hoping it would be good until Stephen finished his PhD. :(

I did XTrain CBS tonight. I'm trying out the straight strength rotation this month. We'll see how it goes. It moves a lot faster with my adjustable dumbbells! So much so, that I was panting and actually feeling like I got a cardio workout in too! lol

It has really turned chilly up here! You know it's getting cold when Stephen says he needs an extra blanket at night!

Have a great one!

Hi ladies!

Alisha - Did you get your partial project in today? I hope you made it!

Jane - How is your week going?

Day 2 of strength rotation - XTrain Bis & Tris and Core #2 done! That core workout is hard! Tomorrow is legs. Ugh.

Hope you two are doing okay and your weeks are going by fast!

Tonight will be a 3 mile run in the dark. :(

Alisha ~ Did you complete your project? I hope so. I know you are ready for it to be over.

Tricia ~ The week is going good. I can't believe it's Wednesday already. I can't wait for the long Thanksgiving weekend and then I'm off part of the next week too! YIPPEE!!!

I hope your car will last a couple of years at least.

Good job with the workouts. I hate legs however when I was doing the heavy squats my legs did change for the better. I will go back to it next week as I have a 15K on Saturday.

Almost done. We finished one third. Really, we are in the tough portion when you have to put it all together in the report and type set and get graphics and photos processed. Bleh. Also, I find one or two little things that need to be inspected. Ugh. And, my boss goes nuts. And, thank goodness for my brother cause I just couldn't take it without his help.

I anticipate the whole thing will be done before Thanksgiving. I'm spending all my time working and I haven't enjoyed the fall season at all yet. Ugh.

Alisha

I am taking today and tomorrow as a rest day. I have a 15K on Saturday morning.

Alisha ~ Keep on truckin'. You are in the home stretch. Thank goodness for your brother. I'm glad he's helping you out.

Hi Tricia!

Alisha - Wow! I thought you were almost done! Yikes! Hopefully, you'll still get to enjoy the cooler weather when you're done before it gets too cold! Hang in there!

Jane - Enjoy your rest days! It's been kind of slow at work this week, so it's kind of dragged for me, but we've made it to Friday! Yay!

Good luck on your 15K this weekend!

I picked up my leg workout tonight. XTrain legs is a toughie, but I made it! I didn't get it done last night because I came home and did all that icky domestic stuff we have to do sometimes.

See you ladies tomorrow!

I'm in a holding pattern waiting for my boss to figure out exactly how he wants to finish the project.

I may put in a couple of hours on the computer on the next phase. I could do chores. I'm not feeling quite as bad. My virus occasionally flares up and I get a rash on my face. I have started to take gymnema and it seems to be helping. I still feel tired. Yesterday I put away Mt. Saint Laundry. It was huge. Two hampers worth had to fit into my little closet. But, now I have my floor back and eventually I will do some exercise, maybe tomorrow I will do some yoga.

Jane- Enjoy your 15k tomorrow.

Tricia- I hear ya, nothing like chores to interfere with our workouts.

Alisha

Hi Alisha - Can't believe you're still dealing with that virus! Hope it clears up soon and I'm glad the gymnema is helping! Hope you get a little yoga in! That might also help you recover some.

Gladly, I've been able to get right back on the workouts after my day off! Woo-hoo! I did Burn Sets CBS last night and today is Burn Sets Bis & Tris. My legs still hurt from Thursday night! At least they hurt in all the right places!

Jane - Hope you had a good race today!

No leg workout today. I was all dressed, had everything ready and my computer wouldn't connect to my workouts. Stephen tweaked the system last night. He was out sailing so I couldn't get it going. I was all pumped for it too because I had watched Biggest Loser first, too! Took my shower, got dressed, watched an episode of Top Chef and started cutting tomatoes for more puree. I was almost done when Stephen called from the marina. He came back early because, after the weather channel showed winds at 8-10 mph, there was no wind on the water. He wanted to go to Helly Hanson down in Newport to try on sailing jackets because they were on sale online and he wanted to be sure we had the right fit. So, he picked me up and we went. Ended up buying our jackets there. There were even cheaper than online! Got a great deal, but we still shelled out a hunk of change on the credit card for them. They are not cheap!

Didn't get home until after 4, so I got the puree going. That takes time. I finished just in time for dinner. Made some fresh tomato basil soup. We had dinner and I am sipping wine now.

Tomorrow will be a long workout. I need to do legs and my Monday workout of XTrain CBS

Hope you two are having a great night and had lovely weekends! Tomorrow is Monday. Bleh.

I felt wretched yesterday, low grade fever, tired. Did a meditation last night. I went for a short walk this morning. I am making progress on my project. Not done. Can't wait till this one is over.

Tricia- Well done on your workouts!!!

Jane- How was yesterday's race?

Alisha

Happy Monday!

The race went well on Saturday morning although I missed a PR by 37 seconds. Darn! I was so close. My sister shaved 6 minutes off last years time. I did place 3rd in my age group but I did not stay for awards since they give bottles of hot sauce. I do like the 15K distance. I may do one in January and I am signed up for a 15K in February in Pensacola.

Sunday I ran 3.84 miles with my friend Connie who was driving through. I spent the morning sleeping in :), prepping for the coming week, making cookies for a bake sale and purchasing new doors (front and back) for the house. The house and sidewalk is being pressure washed today. It really needs it.

Tonight will be a leg workout...lots of squats!!!

Alisha ~ {{Hugs}}. I hope you feel better. I'm glad you're making progress.

Tricia ~ Fresh tomato basil soup...yummy! Sorry about the missed workout. You'll get it done.

Alisha - Sorry you had such a tough day! :(

So glad this project is almost done!

Jane - Congrats on a nice race! Sorry you didn't PR, but kudos to your sister! She's doing awesome!

Glad you and Connie got to get together! We will someday! You, me and Alisha! We'll have a blast!

Still didn't get a workout in tonight. It's okay. I can still stay on track if I skip a rest day or two. Shouldn't be hard to do.

Poor Stephen had a really tough day today! He spent last weekend grabbing data for his dissertation this past week working it up and processing it. He got to school today only to find that his computers had crashed and he lost all his work. :(:(:(

He did find out tonight that he didn't lose his data. If he lost that, it would have been a disaster because he wouldn't be able to get it again. Tough times for him. Now, he has to spend the week recreating his work instead of making new progress. :(

Sigh. I'll be so glad when he has finished this damn PhD!

Tomorrow is a new day! We worked today and it was slow and quiet. I enjoyed the quiet! Boss let us go at 4:30. I have 4 more days without my annoying PITA boss. He'll be here for a week, then I'm off a week! Yay!

Have a great night you two!

Hopefully we will turn in this behemoth of a project today. Then its on to the last 2/3s of it. bleh.

I hope we are done before Thanksgiving.

I'm going for a hike this morning. We are down in the mid 70s. I hope we get rain, we really need it.

Tricia- You can always do that workout tomorrow. I'm sorry that Stephen is suffering from computer problems.

Jane- Well done on your race!! I know you will break that PR next time, you were so very close, its a sure thing. Enjoy your leg workout.

Alisha
