iTread!!!!

Hi Shelley! I have a few of the iTreads, including #9. I like Grace alot also. These workouts really push you to do more than you think you can. And the feeling of accomplishment afterwards is awesome:) With the iPod workouts that Cathe has planned and these ones I am seriously considering getting a second iPod for workouts only.

Shelly - I agree about the workouts pushing you to do more than you think you can. I never thought I'd be sprinting the way I was the other night for as long, and I even found myself pushing my speed up a bit! I'm still only doing the jogger's pace (which is pretty fast for me) but I hope to be able to work my way up to the runner's pace!

I'm a jogger too baby and darned proud of it! Some of those higher runner #'s leave me with my jaw hanging open as I try to figure out how I could POSSIBLY make my legs move THAT FAST!:p

I just did iTread 14 60 minute endurance run. It wasn't very difficult. The speeds were slower than iTread 1 60 min. that I did the other day (I think the fastest was 6.7) but I still covered about 6.2 miles. I am a jogger. Don't know if I want to go up to runner speeds. I am happy being a jogger. I think I cover enough mileage at jogger speeds.

I think I like the iTreads better than the iClimbs. JMO.

I have a few IClimbs and they are ok. I don't do them very often though. I actually prefer the pre-programmed work outs on the ellipticals at my gym to the IClimbs.

I haven't done a 60 min ITread in ages. I only have one. It's the indoor marathon training work out. It's tough. I need to do it soon! I do the 20,30 and 40 mins work outs most often. :)

Oh I LOVE the iTread workotus. I'm addicted. I have to force myself sometimes, to not do one. lol This morning I just did iTread 4 60 minutes. LOVE IT! As for the numbers, during warm up and the first phase, I follows numbers that are between the joggers and the runners. By the end of phase 2, I'm able (and willing, lol) to keep up with the runners....something I NEVER dreamed I'd do!

Thank you so much for this itread post! I just got my mp3 player in the mail and downloaded 2 workouts. Now I just have to do them! I feel like I am living in the 2000's! I almost said 90's. Melissa

I did iTread #2 60 minute workout today (have previously done #'s 1 and 14-all 60 minutes). I liked it a lot but it only lasted 52 minutes (?). So...I ended up adding in 15 minutes of sprints. Still, I liked the workout. Since I have never done any iTrains before, every time I do a new one it's like opening a new present. I only have the 60 minute ones, though. For those that do the shorter iTreads, do you feel like you get a good workout and enough mileage? I aim for at least 6 miles or more.

I think I am addicted to iTread!!! I have the following:

iTreads:
Set 1 60 min.
Set 2 60 min.
Set 3 60 min.
Set 5 60 min.
Set 9 60 min.
Set 14 60 min.
Outdoors Set 6 60 min.
Outdoors Set 10 60 min.

iClimbs:
Set 7 40 min.
Set 8 40 min.
Set 12 45 min.
Set 16 45 min.
Set 19 40 min.

iSculpts:
Set 1 45 min.
Set 2 45 min.

iStretches:
Set 1 45 min. level 1n2
Set 1 60 min. level 2n3
Combi Set 1 60 min.

If anyone has any opinions on any of them or likes certain ones, please let me know. So far, I still think #1 is my favorite.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I didn't want to start a new one on the same topic, since this one still applies!!

I just did my first itread, #18 It was 40 minutes. I did about 3 miles (a little more). I definitely felt like I got a great workout! I was at about the jogger speed (sometimes a little slower). I am about to download more!

If you haven't tried itread, try it!

It makes me more excited for Cathe's promised downloadable workouts!!

I totally love iTread!!! I've been doing the 60 minute endurance runs and asolutely LOVE them! I find that I go between the highest jogging speeds to the lowest running speeds. I'm fine with that!

I get such great workouts with iTread!!! I would never push myself like that on my own.

I have the outdoor ones but won't try those until it gets cooler out.

I know! I love iTreads so, so, so, so, so much! Today I did a 30 Sprint, plus the 2 sprint segments from iTriSprint 90 min.

And the best part? I was actually sprinting at the RUNNER'S speed!!:7 :7 :7 Gayle inspired me to try it out}(

Thanks cheetah!

Mattea

Yes Gayle, you are VERY inspiring, it a lot of ways! I'm very proud to be your fellow cheetah:)

I hope everything goes smoothly for you this week!

Thanks! Maybe I'll just buy the whole Year's Resolution Package to make myself feel a bit better? Sounds like a great idea to me. Shopping Therapy....always a good thing! lol

*looks ashamed*

I can't even keep up with the jogger speeds when I'm doing what FEELS like all-out running. Grace's walking speeds are my jogging speeds - I cannot walk at 4 mph. :( I'm an iTread failure.

But yes, Gayle is an inspiration - I'll drink to that. Gayle probably doesn't know that she's one of the reasons I felt inspired to join Team In Training and run the Disney marathon. :)

Em, there is no such thing as an iTread failure!!! You are doing it, which is more than most people in this country!!! Apparently, in the US, obesity rules. Ugh...our poor children.
