interesting study on fat loss

That's nice if this person wants to go home and get dinner started for me or take care of my kid while I'm doing my twenty minute chill.

It's not denial. I'm just selective about the reality I accept.

That was interesting Beth, thanks for posting. Perhaps this will encourage overweight people to exercise longer overall, knowing that getting a break will help metabolize the fat more. I think for many severly overweight people, the idea of working out continuously for an hour or longer is intimidating/daunting and they're often less likely to do it. If they know a break actually helps them with fat loss, it may encourage them all the more.

It makes me think of HIIT - high intensity bursts with recover in between. Same effect but for different lengths of time, maybe?

Or, doing bursts of exercise throughout the day - 10-15 minutes here and there. It all adds up - cumulative exercise.

Hmmm, I wonder if doing 30 minutes of cardio, then 20 minutes of weight lifting and then another 30 minutes of cardio would be better than doing the weights first and then 60 minutes of cardio.

When you do circuit training, that's exactly what you're doing with shorter times. For me, circuit workouts are the most effective way to train.
