I GOT THE JOB!!!!!

Good morning, all! A few weeks ago I asked for your good vibes immediately prior to a paralegal job interview over at my jurisdiction's Public Defender's Office. Well, your vibes WORKED, because I was offered and accepted the position just a little while ago.

I'll be working on big-ticket felony matters, organizing case files and preparing trial notebooks, assisting defense attorneys at hearings from arraignment on through jury voir dire, coordinating witnesses, and the beautiful "other duties as requested", which is an open ticket at this point as this is a new position! I'll be taking a modest cut in pay, but it has such long-term career satisfaction and possibilities sometimes I think I should pay THEM!

Thanks to all of you for your good wishes! It's still a little hard to absorb; I've given my current job the best I had for over 3 years, and thinking about creating a smooth transition for the person who will replace me is a little poignant.
