Holy Howlin' Hamstrings! (And Glutes!)

I totally agree, Sherry! With the exception of the back work in that series which I find to be weak, I *love* Amy's 3 Slo Mo workouts. The squats in the leg workout are pure evil!!! ;)

I love that workout and couldn't walk properly for 2 days the 1st time i did it LOL! Definitely have to mentally prep for it - Amy's a strong lady I must say,

I've been eyeing Slo Mo. I was wondering if there are any total UB premixes. I don't like to split up the upper body work and am always looking for good total UB work. Does anyone know?

Amy calls them NRG mixes, and there are 8 of them for this video. Only one looks like it is total UB. I've never done the mixes on this series, though, so just basing that off the titles.

Total Body Challenge 1 (46:41 Min.)
Total Body Challenge 1 (65:47 Min.)
Total Body Challenge 3 (74:03 Min.)
Short on Time - Legs & Core (44:44 Min.)
Short on Time - Total Upper Mix (30:09 Min.)
Split it up NRG 1 Back & Chest (43:43 Min.)
Split it up NRG 1 Shoulders, Bi's & Tri's (48:14 Min.)
2 Set Legs NRG (44:35 Min.)

Where did you all purchase your copy. Collage, Total Fitness, and Ebay don't have any copies listed. Amazon has it at $35. Is this a good price?

Thanks for this post. I pulled out my copy today and did the chest/bi's/tri's split. I haven't done this one in probably two years! Thanks for the reminder. There's a lot on this dvd.

I got my copy from totalfitnessdvds, but it was years ago. Don't remember the exact cost but I highly doubt it was $35. If it's currently out of stock at totalfitness, I would recommend emailing the owner (Mary) to see if she's going to get it in stock anytime soon. She's very helpful and always responds to emails.

Here's Mary's email: [email protected]

I just did the leg workout -- I can see why you entitled this thread "Holy Howlin' Hamstrings" (and glutes)!!! She is so creative in her moves -- not just the regular squats and lunges. Can't wait to try some of the UB workouts and NRG mixes. Glad I have this dvd. Thanks for the recommendation.

I contacted Mary at Total Fitness. She said they are no longer making this workout!!! I was able to find a new one on Ebay, so will be trying it soon. Thanks all.
I was just looking on you tube and the entire DVD is on there if you want to try it out before your DVD arrives. All this talk about howlin hammies has me envious so I'm pulling mine out tomorrow LOL!

I am back to say I was literally crawling to the shower after the leg workout - with tears of joy of course LOL!! I have to admit my body type needs heavy weights or I just get flabby. I did Cathe's RWH in Feb, then thought I needed a change after years of heavy weights and did 3 months of high rep/ low weight workouts and took a really good look at myself today and have this layer of fat around my hips and abdomen that definitely wasn't there prior to this change. I'm so sad :( . Oddly my weight selections with today's Amy workout were the same as before so I haven't lost strength but definitely lost the nice shape to my quads. I guess all is not lost as the Tonique workouts strengthened my glutes and lifted my butt which is partially why I started it.
Please forgive me for straying LOL!! And tell me it won't take long to get my tone back....Thanks Cher for starting this thread and Cathe's June rotation came just in time.
