Morning Maniacs-
Yesterday was Kenpo X and I burned 687 calories. I must say this is my least favorite video so far. I may try cardio X next time and see if I like that better or just sub a kickbox workout. Today is Legs and Back and ab ripper, tomorrow is yoga x and a couch to 5K run. DH and I are painting our bedroom this weekend which should be great fun but I'm sure we will appreciate it when it is done.

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. Anyone got any exciting plans?

Theresa - Nice calorie burn! Wish I could paint my bedroom (needs it desperately, but I am still waiting for DH to repair the walls from the house settling.:confused: As far as fun goes my family has a sail planned for this evening, but not sure I will make it with them.:(


It is finished. Meso 2 that is. I did not feel up the challenge at all this morning, but in the end was quite impressed with how well I did. Today was Disc 24 Back & Biceps w/ Drop Sets. It was only 43 minutes so I added the Step Only premix from Imax3. Workout was 1:10 and I burned 478 calories.

I had a hard time getting through my workout this morning. Hardly any sleep last night. I did my weights and no cardio. So workout was STS Meso 1 disc 8 back and triceps, I thn did Amy's 10 minute solution 5 day weight segment. This was compound moves throughout. It was an ok workout. Moves like overhead press with squats. It ended with staggered push ups and then side lying triceps press on the floor. So more of those after Cathes

Total calories burned was a little over 300. I think I left my HR monitor in the car because I was redoing some of the settings on it. DH has my car right now. I will come back and post weights in awhile. I need to get the grandbaby down for a nap.

Today is the first day of our vacation. Not doing much of anything today. I have to go grocery shopping and dh and I will clean up around here a bit. Tomorrow is the Melon Festival. We will ride our motorcycles out there. It's a nice ride. Looking forward to it.

I won't have any workouts to report until Monday. So I might not be checking in now until then. So you all have a great Holiday weekend! :cool:

I made it thru my 2, 10 hour days! Now I just have 2, 8 hour days to go and I get a day off. I slept until 7:30 am today....so I couldn't work out as long as I had planned. I had my alarm set for 6:00 am and wanted to be up at 6:30, but it didn't happen.

I did the new Michele Dozois sculpting workout with the high step and gliding discs. I added on Hot Spots Arms/Shoulders with Tamilee Webb and then did the 15 minute stretch off Michelle's workout. Workout with stretch was 75" and I burned 490 calories at the end of the stretch and 439 before the stretch.

Linda - sorry you are not feeling well. My stomach has been upset. Maybe there is something going around. Make sure to get your flu shot this year, as they are predicting the swine flu will be bad.

Re: the job thing - yes, one of the reason's I'm pissed is cuz the rule is generally that you have to work in fragrance first, but they must make up the rules as they go along, as they are not going to hire straight from the outside to the Counters, but I guess the candidates have to have previous cosmetic experience (I have sold Arbonne before). Found out there is a second opening in Lancome! The other girl that has been there for 6 years got a receptionist job. I could always tell "doing makeup" was "just a job" to her. She didn't have a passion for it and when she did makeovers, she'd slap the stuff on fast, rather than make it like at art form.

Diane Sue - when you first started going thru menopause, did you still get cramps and migraines, bloating every month when you were supposed to have TTOTM - even when you didn't have it? I'm sorry for the personal questions...but I find it odd that I have the symptoms but no real TOTM. Why couldn't you sleep last night? Headache or just insomnia?


ETA: I'm ready to give up on my dream of doing makeup and just seriously looking for a medical secretary job!

Laura, I had most of the usual symptoms for quite some time during menopause. Mood swings, headaches, bloating. Not much for cramps though. Then it hit all of the hot flashes and night sweats etc..
I still get those once in awhile but rarely anymore. I took Black COhosh for a long time which seemed to help quite a bit. I couldn't sleep last night because of allergies. I was coughing all night long. I quit using the inhalers the doctor gave me because I hate the way they make me feel. Also didn't help that I had drank a large ice tea to late in the day so still had the caffeine thing going. I can only have limited caffeine in the mornings.

Today was p90x legs/back and ab ripper X. Workout was 48 minutes burned 692 calories which is good because I ate some bad stuff at work today. I don't know why people feel compelled to bring food to work to share. I have a hard time saying NO sometimes, and today was one of those times.

Tomorrow is yoga x and I need to get one more run in either Sat or Sun. It is supposed to rain all weekend so I might use the TM.

Linda-way to finish up the 2nd round. I'm curious...which of the two mesocycles do you like better? Are you seeing any good results?

Diane Sue-this is your second time with STS? Which mesocycle do you like so far? I never got to start meso3.

I decided to go ahead and my 3rd run of the week out of the way. workout was 22 minutes
2 min jog 1.5 min walk. traveled 1.7 mi. I assume my distance will increase as my run time increases. Next week is 3 min jog, 1.5 min walk for a total of 20 min. I may go to 30 min but will have to see how froggy I feel.

Theresa, I think I liked Meso 2 the best. Although I really like plyo legs in Meso 3 a lot. I did it heavy then went back and used Meso 2 upper and plyo legs to try all of the workouts for a 4th month of using STS. I think I need all of it though:) Nice calorie burn with P90X.
