Hi everyone!
Today I turned 40, and I've never felt better about myself than I do now. I've worked out with videos at home forever, but when I discovered this forum and Cathe's videos back in October, I sure turned a corner! I am fit, firm, and above all else, happy with myself. Sure, I still have problem areas, but I don't focus or obsess about them as much as I used to. Instead of beating myself up over my bigger-than-I-would like thighs, I allow myself to be pleased with the definition I have in my arms and back. My only problem now is that I am hooked on the high I get when I work out, and I am crabby when I can't.
I remember crying (really!) on my 29th birthday, because I was so close to 30. When this 40th birthday approached, all I could say was "Bring it on, I'm ready!!!"
I owe a lot of my new-found self-esteem to all of you that post on these forums. It's great to belong to a community of people who "get it"...you understand how great it is to work out and feel great, and you know that it's possible to achieve our fitness goals at home, without ever stepping into a gym. I feel that all of you are my workout partners, and it's made me feel less isolated. Cathe and her crew are wonderful motivators, and her videos are so tough, that you can't help but feel pride and accomplishment when completing them.
Thanks for letting me ramble. I've just got so much to be thankful for in my life, that I thought I would take a minute to tell you that you all are so appreciated!!!
Veronica
