Food Allergies

Hi all,
This is the first time I have posted on here, everyone seems to know so much about nutrition. My 2 year old was just diagnosed with severe food allergies to peanut, egg, and tree nut. We have decided to remove all these allergens from our home. But now that I have gotten over the shock, of her diagnoses, I realize how much of a staple these foods where to my diet. So if anyone has any ideas on what I can supplement and still get a good amount of protein without an excessive amount of calories. I have tryed sunflower seed butter, it's ok just not the same as peanut butter. Everything right on down to my rice cakes has one of her allergens in it. Any advice that anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.

Happy Halloween
Angela

Dear Angela,

I'm an allergy and asthma nurse. A great resource for you would be the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis website. www.foodallergy.org
This is an extremely helpful website and they also have recipes there as well.

Good luck and Happy Halloween to you too.

Sincerely,
Jennifer
