Hello everyone..
Well, as many of you might remember, I had an underwater body fat test scheduled today. UGGGHHHH! Well, it was not as good as I wanted it to be but not as bad as it could have been. 25%. Very depressing for me considering my activity level and intensity. BUT....I have a whopping 106 pounds of lean body mass, which is very good for a person of my height of 5'1. I think it works out that I AM displacing fat with muscle and that I experienced an overall gain of 3 lbs. in muscle since beginning strength training approximatly a year ago.(Not very encouraging). Even though my fat level is not as low as I would like it to be, I am happy with the lean mass level. I think losing about 5 pounds of fat if possible will do alot for me in terms of improved athletic performance. I really think at this point also that Depo Provera is hindering my weight loss efforts also. Hard to beleive that 8 years ago I tested in the exact same tank at 12% body fat at 98 pounds. Don't want to be there again (2 packs a day smoker) and don't think I could be even if I wanted to. But LOOK....I have more lean mass than I weighed TOTAL back then. That is good I think....
Now, I will just continue to monitor via my body fat scale and calipers, as I did this to see what the difference was between the three. Seems that caliper testing will be the next most accurate for me..usually I get about 23% with them and my EVIL scale measures me at 30%!!!
So for now, I will keep doing the same thing I am doing but I will add a few less intense cardios to my routine. My body doesn't seem to want to take any more intense ones. And, of course, try to eat less peanut butter and ice cream!!!

Take care,
Janice
