Discontinued shoes

Why Why Why do they always discontinue my favorite workout shoes? My original Rykas were my fave, can't recall the style, and they discontinued them. My current pair are Ryka Intensity XT2 which are in need of replacement, but they no longer make them. They now have the XT 3, which are comfy, but not quite the same. An internet search is turning them up, but the sizes are hit and miss, as they appear to be leftovers or overstocks. I need a 10. Anyone have a good source to locate discontinued footwear? I swear I need to start buying mutliple pairs. Good sneakers are very important, and hard to find!!! You think if I called Ryka they could point me in the right direction or would they just think I'm crazy? I just can't find a comparable pair. Reebok, Nike are ok for tootling around in, but no good for aerobic work for me, they hurt with all the bouncing, New Balance has some decent ones, but again, about halfway or 3/4 thru a workout I start to feel it. I like my Ryka running shoes, too, but they still make those. Although I think I want to try a pair of Asics next time, just to see. I want my favorites back!!! I guess the XT 3 is prob supposed to be an improvement over the XT 2, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

It's not just shoes. I have that problem with bras, skin and hair care products, and all sorts of other things. DH always says I should stock up on the things I like but I usually have to use them for a while before I fall in love with them then when I go back to get more they're discontinued! I swear big brother tracks my purchases just so they know which items to take off the shelves. Same goes for t.v. shows, if I like a new show it's almost guaranteed to be cancelled. Sorry I can't help you find your Rykas, I have the same problem with them.

I have that problem w/makeup all the time. I almost threw myself off a clock tower when Club Monaco discontinued their entire makeup line.

Oh, & I finally found a night guard that was unbelievably comfortable--better than the custom piece of crap my dentist gave me--so of course that was discontinued too.

Ugh I know. I've learned my lesson. When I find a pair of running shoes I like I buy 3 pairs.

You are a riot I would love to meet you some day your personality is so crazy. I am still searching for the right makeup especially foundation for a 43 year old.
