Damage Control...Hump Day....

Good Morning!:)

Had an awesome sleep last night. Its 9 a.m and DS is still asleep! Gives me a little time to myself:)

I got a little stressed out yesterday....and I hardly ever get stressed unless the teenager who lives here does it to me. I finished writing all of my exams which is awesome...have that DONE. But now I have to start studying for the final exam. In the meantime I really wanted to get all those body parts, muscles,bones,medical terms (not so much) in my head. While I was learning medical terms I was thinking "do I really need to know this" My friend who is a nurse doesn't even know half of it. I'm not diagnosing people. I kinda breezed through that part. I sent an email off to the school asking if the final was online or written. They informed me that it was written and they would tell me of the location when the time comes. I wanted to throw up! I mean, it makes total sense! Why would they let someone do a open book multiple choice exam? So now I REALLY REALLY need to know all of these things inside out. I am not sure why I was so stressed. I have months to complete it. Its not as if they said " DEC 1 is your exam date". I have 15m to finish the course and its only been since May. I was just really hoping to have it done and behind me before Christmas. Everyone knows how busy Christmas time is...where will I find the time? I think what was stressing me out the most was trying to get all of this in my brain and not forgetting what I learned the month prior. Its not like I can take a week and dig my heals in...I have work, a family, house work....lots of crap that needs to get done. So the wheels of me opening a business as stopped for now. I can't let anything else occupy my mind! I am going to start in but ideally after Christmas when the weather sucks, there are no gatherings and life is slow would be the time to really study. Maybe I should set a date for Feb 1st!

Wendy** I did take a rest day but it wasn't my 2nd day in a row. I worked out on Sun and Mon:D. I have only done 3 workouts since the mary was over...or maybe 4. I haven't broken the news to my friend that I think that part of my life is over. When I went for a run on Sunday I was thinking "I can't imagine training for a marathon again" and I am thinking if I don't feel the urge to do it, then I probably won't do it again. Or maybe its b/c I have so many other things on my mind right now. Hope you are enjoying your non rest day!!!;)

Laura** I can't imagine those kinds of temps. It was really cold here last night. -2 I think. Everything is covered with frost but atleast its not snow! It won't be long though. How is SIL doing?

Diana** How are you feeling today? My throat as been itchy the last few nights, I don't know whats going on! I just got over the cold a llittle while ago. Nice job on the DOMS in your shoulders...shoulders are my fav body part to work!

Jacque** Still as busy as ever!;) When will things slow down for you? Or will they?

I am not sure what today's workout will be. Tidying the house comes first, and I have 2 people coming over for sessions this afternoon. Today will fly by I am sure. I may do a circuit workout using the TM again.

I'm back...

So I did Step Moves in full including the challenge (first time for challenge) this morning plus standing abs from Criss Cross Cardio holding 2# DB's in my hands. Great work out. I flubbed up combo 3 in SM a bit. It was the only one I didn't review by itself prior to doing the work out as a whole. Silly of me b/c it's the hardest one IMO! I was able to get through it well enough to finish the w/o with out getting frustrated but I really need to go back and practice that combo I think. It was pretty sad looking. LOL

Lori:: Well you may never run another marathon again but you can say you did TWICE and with pretty darn impressive finishing times too! Sometimes I kick myself for not seeing a marathon thru but maybe I'll still do it one day! You never know! Sorry you are stressed about the final exam. Actually, my cert included an open book written exam that I did at home. It was not multiple choice. It was all essay questions plus I had to video tape myself doing a handful of exercises. I stressed over the video for sure but it turned out ok. Too bad I never made use of it! :p Well, beyond training my friend for peanuts anyway... So, I am sure you'll do fine! You will know the material by the time you have to go for the exam!

Jacque:: Wow you are on a roll with stopping by here the past few days! Keep it up! LOL Enjoy 4DS k/b if you do it (love that one!) and the Sharks game, ofcourse! :)

Hi Ladies,

I'm working from home today. I'm feeling better and may head down for a workout in a bit. I guess 4DS kb/bc will be good for today and possibly Back & Biceps. It depends on how I feel once I get started.

We are supposed to go to our condo in the mountains this weekend. DH is spending most of the week, but Jerod and I have to come back since he has school. They are getting pounded with snow and I don't want to go up on Sat just to drive home in nasty weather, steep mountain roads etc. The whole thing is sounding too stressful. DH really wants us to go, but I'm going to make every effort to get out of it, without pissing him off. Wish me luck.;)

Wendy-no rest day today...you go girl! Thanks for the KCM suggestions. I really want both cardio and weights. I like that they are around 30 minutes. I hate cutting a Cathe w/o short, like I didn't accomplish anything. So a shorter w/o that I could complete sounds much better. I never used to bother working out if I didn't have an hour, but now see the benefits of even a short w/o.

Lori-I slept great too last night! Gotta love a good nights sleep. The holiday season is almost upon us, so I wouldn't worry to much about your certification. You can pick it back up in January or February when life slows down a bit. Be proud of the marathons you completed. It's up to you if you want to run another one.

Jacque-hope you were able to get your w/o in this morning. If not I'm sure you needed the rest from your whirlwind work the past few weeks. The AVS lost to Vancouver last night in OT..booh.

Laura-We had terrible winds yesterday, my lawn chairs blew around to the side of the house, hitting the fence etc. Scared the bejeezus outta me! The mountains are getting lots of snow, but down here the temps have been in the 40's and sunny during the day...no snow down here yet.

Diana:: All of the KCM's I have are good and they all offer two 30 minutes work outs plus premixes. I think you would like both Weights and Muscle Definition for lifting. She does a lot of combination moves working upper and lower body together and her ab sections are good too. The K/B is good though it took me some getting used too. Very different style from Cathe's k/b. I like it though. BootCamp kicks butt. She uses pretty heavy weights (IMO) so the weight work packs a good punch and she makes me sweat buckets with the cardio! IIRC this w/o gave me some pretty nice DOMS after the last time I did it! Body Training has a full body pilates based floor routine as well as a standing lower body routine. No weights used at all. I've yet to try the floor routine but I enjoy the lower body one. Good burn!!! If you enjoy Tonique I think you will like it though I am sure it's not as high of a calorie burn b/c there are no "cardio" moves in it and it's shorter. HTH a bit more! :)

I worked out today and so far feel pretty good. My w/o was 4DS KB/BC cardio, 4DS Back & Biceps, STS No Equip Abs! I need to get showered and go run some errands..drop of our ballots, buy some furnace filters, CO2 detector, remoteless garage keypad...etc. I also need to see what's going on at work.

Wendy-Thanks for the details. I'm going to see if I can find them at Sports Authority or another store. Did you check out the Michelle Dozios w/o's that Laura ordered...they look good too! It's just hard to justify knowing I have new Cathe DVD's coming soon.

Diana:: Sounds like you have a full plate of shopping ahead of you today! You're welcome re the KCM's. Let me know if you find them sold in a store some where. I've never noticed her stuff sold anywhere by me. I said the same thing to myself re justifying my Spreen purchase with the new Cathe's coming but ofcourse that didn't stop me! ;) Yes, I want the Michelle dvds as well but I'd actually like to complete my KCM library first. One instructor at a time! :D I think I have exhausted all of the Spreens that I want...for now anyway. :p
 
Wendy-I had a successful shopping trip. I still need to get a few things but didn't want to take the kiddo. I will finish up my shopping after I take him to football practice. I bought the Jari Love dvd's (which I quickly got rid of) at Marshall's or TJ Maxx of all places. If I happen to see them, I'll pick them up.

I need to get rid of a bunch of dvds I don't use any more and am actually considering including Jari in the mix. I think I've just outgrown her. I don't use her stuff that I have and have absolutely no interest in her new vids. Maybe I'll keep one just incase...but maybe not. :p

Glad you got lots of shopping done. I prefer to shop without DS as well but sometimes it's unavoidable. If it's a quick trip its not so bad but if I really wanna shop it can be very trying. :eek:
 
Wendy-Can our group have first dibs on your unwanted w/o's. You may have something I want. I wish I would've known you wanted KS Bootcamp. I did it once and it must not have been my cup of tea...haven't done it again. I found a pair of jeans for $12 so had to grab those while I was purchasing a slip and panty hose.
 
Diana:: Sure, I will PM all of you the dvds I am getting rid of before I do anything else! No problem! Hopefully I can do that this weekend!
