complications of previous ear infection

Hello,

My 15 year old son had an ear infection and was given antibiotics wish did not work for him and was given a second dose of antibiotics witch did eliminate the ear infection. However he has been complaining about feeling extremely dizzy, not being able to focus and he has a feeling of fullness in hs ear that is really bugging him. Has anyone on this forum had any similar experience related to a previous ear infection that could have caused it? I will give it a few more days and if it doesn't get better I will consult with an ENT.

Hi Lulu,
He may have inflammation of the nerves of the inner ear as a complication which can cause severe dizziness, or in some cases a ruptured ear drum can cause this. I'd take him back to his MD for a follow up.
