Hi everyone. Sorry for not posting yesterday. It was a very busy day. First, I decided to go to the beach with my friend and our kids. We were there from 11 in the morning until 3. It was a great time. The boys played well together the whole time. It wasn't too humid or hot, but hot enough to go in the water to cool off and enjoy. A lot of boats passed by too, and I love to look at boats. Watching the boats reminds me of all the times we used to go on my dad's boat when I was a kid. Anyway, when I got home I did my workout. I did STS M1 D9, legs. I was supposed to do legs today, but it is DS's birthday party today and I figured I would not have time to workout and then I'd be behind. So I skipped the cardio and did STS. Today will more than likely be a rest day. We are having DS's party at my friend's gym. She is my friend from work, the personal trainer. She opened a gym in the spring. It is a kind of sports training gym. They have programs for lacrosse and other sports for kids and then classes for adults as well, such as the one I went to on Monday and kickboxing, boxing, yoga, etc. Anyway. . . it should be a lot of fun today. They are going to play different games including dodgeball. I am glad it is indoors because it looks like rain. After the party we are having a few kids come back to the house and we will have a small BBQ. Like I said, today is going to be a rest day, lol. After doing my workout, we had to quickly have dinner and then off to DS's baseball game, where I got bit up! I hate these damn bugs. It always happens when I DON'T bring the bugspray. If I had the spray, the buggers would have never been out, lol. Anyway, it was a long but fun day yesterday.
My sister is coming to the party. I just hope there won't be any drama this time.
Deb- good job with the yoga. Do you think you will follow the instructor to another gym? You seem to really enjoy her style of teaching.
Melissa- Nice job with the yoga today. I thought about the ankle weights after my last post. I used them yesterday around my wrists, not bad. I definitely need to get a set of 30# DB for meso 2. 25# for the squats with the added ankle weights did not give me much of a burn, although I still have some DOMs settling in today. I love Cedar Beach just because the kids can swim in the water without me having to go in with them, there are no big ocean waves and the lifeguard is always on duty. I can pick a spot right at the edge where the sand meets the water, watch and relax. It is great. My friend and I were even able to read some gossip magazines yesterday, lol. BTW- I love how you attract the "younger" men
Belinda- endless pizza would be my downfall too, lol. I think of pizza often, lol. Glad you are starting to feel better. Nice job on STS legs. I am thinking after STS whether I do the 3 month or pyramid rotation, I will do Xtrain and then go back to STS, but redo my 1 RM tests before I restart STS. I am loving STS again. I forgot how effective it is. I am already seeing a difference in my body. I see more definition everywhere and yesterday TOTM came, and I still look like I lost some inches in my waist, even while being bloated, lol.
Amelia- in NY most districts have teachers go back to work the Thursday before Labor Day. For the kids, most schools will have the first day be the day after Labor Day, which I think is dumb. . . we have a Jewsih holiday that week, so the kids will come in Tuesday and Wednesday and then be off for Thursday and Friday. We should have all just started on the Monday after. Having two days on and then a four day weekend kills the momentum from the very beginning.
