Sorry the title is so blah. Not feeling very creative right now. BIL is stable. Surgery will be either Tues or Wed. He has significan right sided weakness and severe headaches. He almost fell today because he forgot that his right side isn't working and went to get up quickly. Actually he did fall from his chair onto the bed. Thank goodness the bed was there.

I did manage the standing portion of B&Gs this morning before heading to the hospital and it felt good :)

I hope you have had a good weekend.

Morning Chinsters,

Okay today was the first day of the new rotation and it has left my legs shaky.

Superset A
Pistol Squats
8/8/8 - ***went all the way down with these, trying to hold on only at the bottom of the movement***
Bench Press
6/6/6 - 100# ***These felt good and should go a little heavier, but was being cautious about the shoulder, but no pain:D***

Superset B
BB RDL
8/8/8 - 120#
Spiderman Pushups
5/5/5 (each side)

Superset C
Step Ups
10/10/10 - 25's **I love going slow with these and making sure the top leg is doing all the work***
Rear Delt Raise
12/12/12 - 10's **up 2 reps and up 2 #, I know not a lot of weight, but again no pain and only one click in the shoulder at the top instead of all the crunching in there***

Added Superset D
Lying Tricep Ext
5/5 - 20's
5/5/5 - 15's
DB Curls
5/5/5/5/5 - 20's
*** This was done with no rest between sets at all, need to up the weights a bit next time***

Then did intervals at a 45/90 ratio for 6 rounds (thankfully the cardio changed a bit too) and I did runs around the step with 7 count power ups, like in 4DS BC. Then added combo 1 from Amy's ASC 1.

Catherine - My prayers are still with your family! Have they determined what the problem is yet?

Hello Chinsters!

Didn't sleep well last night (had my own little family crisis) and so only did the Power Squeeze from Squeeze (26 mins.) No real arms section except for pushups and dips but that suited me fine this morning. I also did 3 3/4 chins in a row (new record!) and 2 pullups.

This rotation has definitely helped me. I lost an inch in the upper part of my hips and 1/4 - 1/2" from my thighs (especially the dreaded inner thigh!) My core is much stronger and my arms are more cut.:D

Catherine - I'm so sorry to hear about your BIL. I will keep him and your family in my prayers.

Linda - Great workout! What is a pistol squat? Love spiderman pushups! I have heard about problems with hearing Amy's voice and cues over the music in ASC2. I don't remember noticing it much but I only did it a couple of times. Stick with it, though, it's worth it. I have to put this one back in my rotation next month.

Hey gang!! Still waiting to hear from the surgeon about when surgery will be. We won't know till they go in there for sure what it is. The wait is killing me. I can only imagine what it is doing for him and his mother. BTW did I mention that he doesn't have insurance

My legs are a bit sore from B&Gs yesterday and back did ok-yeah!!

Linda, it looks like this one's gonna be another tough rotation. Glad your shoulder is holding out!

Marcy, wtg with the inches lost!! Hope all is well with your family crisis!!

Didn't want to w/o this evening, but did it anyway LOL!! Tried many excuses and they didn't work. Convinced myself to just do what I could and be happy with it. So I did and didn't do bad. I did 4DS UB premix. I haven't done that one in a couple of months and can tell that I have made some strength gains since I last did it :) I went lighter on the shoulder work though

BIL update- surgery will be tomorrow at 11 am. Keep the prayers coming!! Thanks!

BIL's surgery has been postponed. An emergency came up :( I understand such things, but I feel terrible for BIL and family. The wait has got to be awful!! It still may happen later today or it may be tomorrow.

I am so glad I worked out last night. It just does something for me mentally :)

Catherine I am so sorry to hear that they postponed the surgery. I can't imagine what that poor family is going through!

I did Amy's ASC 3 through to combined combos 3 & 4, took 60 minutes. Wanted to do more but thought DH was leaving early and that I need to have DD ready early, but that is Thursday not today.:confused::(:(:eek:

Marcy, here is a pistol squat:

Afternoon Chinsters,

Well, Catherine since you haven't been here yet I hope all is well with your BIL!

Been a very busy day! A little embarrassed to post this morning's workout as pull ups & chin ups are my strong suit. Anyway, I have learned careful what you wish for you just might get it. Last week I was thinking my back needed some work and was wondering what I could do for it and guess what I get the back rotation from hell!

Humility and all, here it is:

Superset A
Pull ups
5 1/2 -3 1/2 - 3 ***8/8/8 first set of numbers are unassisted***
DB Floor Press
8/8/8 - 40's

Superset B
Chin ups
4/3/3 - 8/8/8 ***again first set are unassisted***
DB Incline Press
8/8/8 - 35's ***probably could have went heavier but first time doing inclines since hurting the shoulder so wanted to test things first, no pain!:D

Superset C
Inverted Rows
15/15/15
Decline Pushups
20/20/20

Back, chest and forearms were toast when I was done, but triceps felt neglected so added a drop set. Wasn't suppose to be a drop set but forearms were just to darn fatigued.

Lying Tricep Ext.
8 - 20's
8 - 15's
8 - 12's
8 - 10's

Then did cardio at a 20/40 ratio for 8 rounds using Amy's power up from ASC 3 were you jump over the step, then did Amy's ASC combos 2,3 & 4. All on very sore hamstrings:eek:!

That was it!

Hey ladies. Sorry I didn't update sooner. I did a quick update somewhere earlier, but didn 't have a lot of time.

It looks like it was a blood clot. The edge of it looked funny. So they had the pathologist look at it. He wasn't sure. So they got another pathologist, up the street, look at it. He said it was not cancer. As a precaution they are sending it out for more test. They are also gonna do more tests on him to try and determine why he had a bleed in the head in the first place. Meantime he is in recovery waiting on a bed. It has been a looooong day. I got up at 3:30

I have been stress eating and no w/o for two days:(

Linda, that's what you get for avoiding chinups :p Actually those numbers are not bad at all for someone who hasn't been doing them consistently!!

Catherine - I guess you are exhausted! Glad to hear that it's most probably not cancer, and hope the heal;ing can begin. Also happy to hear you took over my stress eating for me, I've actually did well the past couple of days, so don't give it back, okay?

It will be interesting to see what my upper body feels like tomorrow! I can feel the back getting sore already!

You know I am only kidding! :p Hope life gets back to normal for you, I know lousy it feels not to workout AND eat horribly at the same time!

Oh I forgot to mention that the warm up included uneven pushups, eight to each side !

Of course I know you are kidding ;) And I am sure I will be back on track soon. Really, I am very thankful for my health!!!!

Anyway, this morning was going to do Amy's ITR, but back and chest have the worse DOMS ever and didn't think I could handle those med ball intervals. So did Amy's ASC 2 because I wanted another shot at that one will all the moves are still kind of fresh in my mind!

Catherine - Everything okay? Not like you to not be around yet? Have you checked out what's been going on in the maniac thread the past two days? It's weird, makes me want to get off these boards.

Good Afternoon Chinsters!

Today was yoga day - Power Yoga for Happiness (Full Happiness - 90 mins.) Did well with arm balances but considering I have a lot of dance training, I was flopping all over the place with Dancer's Pose. Also did 1 pullup and 1 3/4 chinups.

Catherine - Glad to hear your BIL doesn't have cancer. I hope he has a quick recovery. Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight.

Linda - I'm doing ITR tomorrow. Really like that one. So do you like ASC2 or ASC3 better?

Marcy
