Has working out with Cathe changed the way you work out at all?? It sure has for me. If someone had told me a year ago that I would own a pair of heavy Bowflex dumbbells, I'd have thought them crazy, but my Cathe experience has made me actually enjoy my weight training workouts. I will always love cardio, I just love movement in general, but I used to HATE, and I mean...HATE weight training with a passion. There were days when I belonged to a health club, days when I was supposed to lift, and just did cardio instead.

My first day on Cathe's website, I read the articles she had written in the past, looked at her fitness bio, and decided that this woman knows what she is talking about, and decided to follow her advice, and while I don't measure myself, nor do I step on a scale, I just know from posture, to overall strength and cardio-vascular health, that I made the right choice.

The thing that turned me on to Billy Blanks' TaeBo was total body fitness that required no weights, workout nirvana for me!!! I love me some old school TaeBo, always will, but I did notice that while I was getting thinner, I wasn't able to lift things that I could normally lift, I knew I had to incorporate weights, which is how I joined a health club in addition to my TaeBo, but is seemed I was always working out, between the two, and burned myself out finally.

Cathe has made me realize that I don't need to do intense cardio 6x per week to get the results I want, I just have to focus more on my strength, which is something that I should have been doing all along.

Good for you Jerry! I would say I have made all of those same changes in my life since finding Cathe! I owned 3# and 5# dumbbells, now I own all the way up to 30#. I am very petite, 5'0", but (thanks to Cathe), I pack a punch!

Can't wait to meet you in a few weeks, Jerry!

I have definitely added more strength training. When I belonged to a gym I would do a weight class maybe once or twice a week. But they were a piece of cake compared to Cathe's workouts.

I've learned a lot more about weight lifting and have made it more of a priority over cardio. Also, I've gone from w/o about 4x a week to 6-7 days /week. Results for me have been slow but I'm finally starting to see some changes and I'm ready to take it up a notch. Can't wait for STS.

After the initial flusteration, I have really enjoyed working out with Cathe and very compatiable with other workouts.

I don't feel I look any more muscular (hopefully others can tell a difference though), I know I'm stronger. I did GS chest and tris this week and I can now use 12, 15, and 20 lb dumbells where I started at 8, 10 and 12 lbs when I started for chest presses. That was really exciting to me! I do much more weight training now with Cathe. I used to be a Firm devotee, and the weight training was very light compared to Cathe.

Most of my life I've been doing endurance training with a few month's breaks in between at the local gym for weight lifting (which after a while was so boring and repetitive....) so I hadn't built enough muscle mass, just definition, which on a male is just not enough!!! LOLOLOL

I started doing Cathe last October, following rotations from this forum, and not only do I lift much much heavier now after 10 months, but I have bulked up on my problem areas (mainly shoulders - no matter what I did in the past I could not get volume on my shoulders...) and finally have a "pumped-up" upper body.

I love the exercise variety in Cathe's weights w/o and doing the proper rotation research and comparison I have found that I can easily incorporate the periodization method in my training.

As far as cardio is concerned, I haven't done a proper step workout for ages. It took me a while to re-season myself and adjust to the choreography... but now a week doesn't go by without me doing 2-3 step w/o - and I love the Imaxes!!!!

I've done Firm (originals mostly), Tracie Long (functional fitness), Tae Bo (including contact), P90X, Iron/Power/Vinyasa Yoga... and let me tell you... I wouldn't mind working out to Cathe for the rest of my life!!!:D :D :D
