Cathe Workout Knocked Out My Daughter!!

Hi all, thought I would share this will all of you.

Last week while trying to get rid of a migraine my youngest daughter (25) came over for breakfast. We started talking about her upcoming cruise and how its been really hard for her to shed the last few pounds and fat from her already fit and trim body. She is also very aware of my workouts with Cathe and others. While we were viewing Cathe's PLB she challenged me saying that the she could do this workout with no problem. Suffice it to say that I took that challenge, migraine and all. We began with the leg presses - I was using dumbells and she used my barbell with 25 # on it I was using 15s. She had me pause the tape - she was winded - litterally. After about 8 minutes later and lots of water we began again. Throughout the entire workout she kept asking me - Mom you do these workouts all the time? Mom, I want to look like Cathe! Mom, this is really hard! At the end of the workout I stretched even longer because of my lower back (as many of you have read from past posts, I suffer with ddd) and my poor baby was totally wasted and laying on the carpet. The next morning she calls me telling me that she can't move, that every muscle in her lower body was in pain, meanwhile I'm at work with some light soreness but nothing as she is describing. So you see my dears, Cathe can definately knock out even fit and trim 25 year olds, including mine.

Hi Debbie - I did, I did!! My daughter pre-ordered the Body Blast series. In fact my daughter just called a few moments ago - she's a little less sore, but sore nonetheless. Just a friendly reminder from Cathe that she means business - whoooo hooooo!!! I totally love it!!!!

Love it...love it! When people ask me what I do to workout, I tell them I workout at home and then I try to explain about Cathe and what a great instructor she is and how I can do so much with her DVD's so my body doesn't adjust to a particular workout...and then I just give up. I would love for someone - friend or family - to come see how hard I workout in my own home. I do have to say that my husband appreciates it and realizes how hard I work. He jokes around, but he hasn't attempted a Cathe workout yet. Thanks for the fun story!:7
 
Hi gogigi, just goes to show you that sometimes people should be seen and not heard especially when it comes to Cahte.

What a cute story Iris. I've been trying to get my 22 year old daughter to work out her entire life. She's pregnant right now and she told me she did a yoga for relaxtion vid. She said she was sore for a week. If I could just keep her hostage for in my home for a couple of weeks!}(
gogigi, my dh is supportive too and knows how hard I workout at home. I've been trying to get him to do PUB biceps with me, but he always graciously declines. He says he gets enough of a workout at work.;)

Hi Sherry, DB works out with me when he can and it kicks his b*** also and he knows how hard I workout. How does that saying go.. don't do as I say, do as I do - or something like that. My three daughters know and can see the effect that working out has done for me. The funny thing is that because of it they are also working out more, being more aware of their fitness level and health. I used to say when I was a young mother, ..."I don't want to end up like my mother, dying young..." I am now at my mom's age when she passed and I count my blessings everyday that I am healthy and fit and very very aware of how to take care of my body. Now my girls say that they want to be like me... looking fit, healthy and sexy at 50!

Hi All,

Happy Tuesday or should I say Happy Muggy and Wet Tuesday.

Well, my daughter and I did PUB last night together with her fiance - kicked their b***s! I was feeling great because I absolutely love this workout! My weights were 8,10 and 15 for chest, back and biceps and 3,4 and 5 for shoulders. They tried, they really did especially Phil, but couldn't hold on to his form because the weights were too much for him. They claim that they loved the workout, especially the ab section with the stability ball - they modified with dumbbells. Were they impressed when I was holding my own on the ball or what?? I know, I know I'm showing off but how many times will you be able to workout with 20 something year oldss and kick b***???????
