How are we this Monday morning?

Angie :: great job with your progress on GS C&T. I haven’t returned to that series in awhile, and I’ll be curious to see if I can hang in longer on the pushups, too. I think I’d see some gains since last time…What about your sister’s elliptical? I would try to make that happen if you can. I really, really dig this machine!…Enjoy your rest day today…I probably won’t do any online shopping today…I don’t have much time during the school day, but I have to wait until Friday (payday) to do the rest of my shopping.

Wendy :: I tried not to look at anything – that’s how I made it through Dick’s. *lol* I am always a sucker for new gear. That makes sense re: the BOSU. Whenever you think of it, just let me know. I can’t wait now for those new DVDs to get here!!

Di :: I forgot…I’m the same as Wendy – I grew up on 80s music – and love it!

Laura :: how was your holiday? We miss ya around here on the weekends.

Hi Nancy! Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. Miss you posting.

Well, I gained 2 lbs. this week due to all my indulgences...the eating has been inconsistent for weeks, though, so it ends here!! Today begins my fat loss rotation and a return to diligent WW tracking. Hold me to it, girls! I will need TrainerS from Hell to not gain this season!! :) :) :) Tonight will be yoga or a stretch and probably some time on the EXT. Better go for some serious calorie burn this week.

My joints are feelin' it this morning but my muscles appear to be A-okay! YAY!:) I took something to help with recovery so perhaps it helped!

Cathy: You will have those 2 pounds off in no time! I gained 3 so you are not alone.

Morning ladies ..

I am back .. I survived the Holiday .. my waistline might not have though!! LOL .. My feast was 100% success .. the food was awesome .. the family was wonderful .. only thing DH is SOOOOOOOOOOO SICK!! Bless his heart .. he of course worked nights and refused to call in b/c that would put his friend on doubles thru the holiday .. so he went in sick as a dog! He can't talk - he is hacking and spitting up green gunk - running a fever .. he is pitiful! I have him on some antibiotics but I am worried he has pneumonia now b/c he won't get rest and the hacking is rumbling thru his chest .. and the green gunk can't be good!! He of course will NOT go to the Dr ..too tough .. you know?

My voice is not real good today .. hope I am not coming down w/it .. I still have him quarantined .. and on restriction from any affections (contact) .. poor baby! I am hoping mine is from yelling like a maniac at my team's WIN .. that is right we WON over our rivals .. at the Iron Bowl ..and this is our 6th straight win!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYA .. WAAAAAAAARRRRRR EAGLE!

I am following you ladies'lead and going to get some airborne .. maybe it is not too late .. can't hurt right??

I don't think I over ate .. but I did eat more of the not so good for you foods .. dressing being my main downfall .. and I did have a slice of the Elvis cake and it was delish!! Then had ball game chips and dips that were evil on calories! then yesterday don't even think I had lunch and had a nice venison chili for supper!

BUT .. I did NOT EXERCISE THE ENTIRE WEEK! That is right .. count it SEVEN DAYS w/o exercise. and I feel re-charged and ready to adminiter some punishment to my class tonight (hoping I don't throw myself to the flu germs getting hot and sweaty) .. tonight will be ALL CARDIO ... tomorrow ALL WEIGHTS .... they are gonna hate me (but thank me)

Sounds like all of you girls had a wonderful weekend (sorry along w/exercise could not bring myself to get on a computer either) .. it also sounds like you girls got some good shopping deals .. no way do I do shopping after the holiday .. the crowds are insane here .. they showed the lines on the news.. they started CAMPING OUT at Targets and Wal mart THURSDAY MORNING ... spent all day THURSDAY and ALL NIGHT to wait for black Fiday .. OMG .. that is just INSANE!! All the stores were packed and looked like angry ants pouring thru the doors .. NO THANKS .. my shopping will be done via the internet and during the week!! :D

OK .. hope all of you have a great day! Hope I survive this Monday... between the nonstop Christmas music already playing on the radio and the PIA COUGHING w/o covering her freaking mouth ..I am going to have to get out the duct tape and cover my mouth b-4 the harsh words spew out .. LOL!

Hi Ladaies,

Well I have re-committed myself to clean eating (clean as possible anyway) and daily exercise. I will also do my best to get to ww weekly meeting as those are key for me. I will probably have to change my meeting time, but make it a priority to get there. I have been too afraid to step on the scale but will sometime this week.

I started my new endurance rotation this morning with lowmax. I also have 2 weeks left in my meltdown class. I wish it went through the end of the year.

Cathy-We can help each other stay on track. I don't feel so bad now after hearing that you and Wendy listen to 80's music. Your elliptical sounds like its getting broken in:)

Wendy-Glad to hear you're not too sore. It asks for a username and password for your race pics so I didn't get to see them. I don't need to see them to know how great you are.

Laura-Your team won, that alone gives you bragging rights! TG dinner sounds like it came off without a hitch. Your cooking sounds right up there with Nancy. Hope DH gets to feeling better real soon. I think your class will be ready for cardio torture and weights torture tomorrow. You are surely rested and ready to test your class.

Angie-I know we won't hear from you until tonight. By the way, I got the X logs you sent. Thank you very much. I am making copies this time so I'll have plenty. I still plan on doing the X but will be waiting until after Christmas to start. Good luck to Cody tonight and I'll check back tonight to see how they did.

Laura: Glad you had a great holiday. So sorry DH is so sick. You need to convince him to atleast go to the doc and get meds or he'll never get better since he won't stay home and rest.

Diana: I posted the link for my pic for it's comedic value. I'm not great, girl...just doing my best!:) Everyone who tried to open the link had the same trouble. I tested it before I posted it and it worked fine. Oh well. I wish they offered classes like you are doing around here. I don't want to TEACH one, I want to TAKE one!}(

Cathy: So how was school today? Hopefully between the 2 of us we will remember about the Bosu DVD in 3 months when I've completed the X! I don't know about you but my memory is for the birds!:7

I am resting today. COMPLETELY! It's been 11 days since my last total rest day. I am overdue. My ankle is still a bit sore as are my hips but other then that I am doing well.

When I was waiting for the race to start I saw a guy and a girl walking past me. I thought the guy looked like my boss from the gym (and I assumed the girl was his wife) but I never saw him again and figured I was wrong anyway so I blew it off. Then today he came towards the end of my shift and asked if I ran in a race y'day. IT WAS HIM! He said he called my name to see if I'd look up and I didn't so he thought maybe he was wrong. Nope, not wrong. I'm just deaf!:p I apparently beat his time by 2 mins! Neener-neener-neener!:p LOL

Okay, I'm done rambling...BBL!
 
I am ready to strangle my training "clients"! GRRRR. They insist on planning the work outs a week or two in advance and then more often then not are changing everything around at the last minute! It's not so bad for me as I have no life :p but I have a son and a husband!!! I need care for my son when I am not training here so that means I have to depend on my husband or my mom to watch him. I feel no guilt having DH watch him but it's not fair to flip flop the days all of the time and if I need my mom, well she's doing me a favor so I feel REALLY bad when they start changing stuff up. One day I'm just tell them no. I can't change it. Deal with it or we can't train this week. UGH! They don't pay me enough to put up with this cr@p! x(

I just finished up some mandatory schoolwork needed for tomorrow and will be getting to some yoga shortly. I don’t think I will be putting in any extra cardio time tonight after all. It’s getting too late.

I rec’d my new DVDs from Collage today, so I previewed some of those. All look interesting. Not sure which I will do first.

Laura :: Poor DH…I hope he feels better soon. Glad you enjoyed your rest week. And yes, do take that Airborne to ward off the germs.

Di :: I did fairly well today except for 4 Oreo cookies. How about you?

Wendy :: I don’t have the greatest memory, either, but I will try. School was good. The kids were rather zombie-like. Funny you beat your boss! :) I agree about your clients. They need to commit to the date originally planned. If not, they lose out and/or pay up, anyway.

Hey Ms. Wendy-I'm still here. Maybe you can go to class for me tonight:) I am praying we don't have to run stairs. Last week we did an upper body circuit that was pretty fun-especially since we only had to run stairs 7 times (up and down is 1). We did 2 sets for each body part. An example is run laps for 8 min (warmup), biceps curls 1 set of 25 reps, lower the weight a bit and second set of 20 reps. 4 min interval on cardio machine, shoulder work, run stairs 4 times then 2 laps then 3 stairs, tricep work etc. I'm sure you would love this class. The last day is next Thursday and I may have to miss class. Jerod has a choir concert that night. I think she will take all our measurements and bodyfat to see the results of the last 6 weeks. I'm not really looking forward to that since my eating has not been what it should've. BTH way-Angie mentioned she was working today and Cody had an away game so she would be late checking in today.

Di :: hope you don't get slammed with too many stairs. Sounds like a great class.

I just finished off a 20 min. practice from 10 Min. Solutions Yoga, which is a favorite of mine. The stretch was great for my sore abs. I'm noticing I have DOMS in the tri's, too, from Keith on Saturday. I really must get a subscription to iTrain - I'm finding myself becoming quickly addicted.

All right, time to hit the couch for some mindless TV and then I'm callin' it an early night. BTW, The BOE is meeting tonight, and I'm dying to know what happens.

Class was awesome tonight. I'm going to have her email it to me and I can forward on to you guys. Yes, it had stairs-but just the right amount. The upper body weights were done on a bosu, stability ball or balance disc to make them even more difficult.

I ended up going to Costco at lunch today and picked up 2 pair of Lucky jeans while I was there. I decided to go with the larger pair, which by the way is largest size I've ever bought (disappointing to say the least). However, they fit great. The smaller size fit too, but I'm a curvy girl and the larger size looked better in the backside. I figure if the size tag bothers me I can always cut it out. :)

Cathy-You'll have to tell us how the BOE meeting goes.

Angie-Did Cody's team win? I hope so.

Hello girls

I wasn't sure if I should finish up this thread or maybe start tomorrows. *lol* OK, it's not quite that late, but close.
It was busy today since I had to take DH to a trucker friend of his and they had to go to the bank so DH could buy his log truck. $145K out the window! UGH! And it's not even new....it's a 2005. Yikes....those suckas are pricey.x( So, I'm feelin' a bit broke. But I did get online and tried to find some cyber Monday deals. I didn't find much that I would call a screamin deal. I did buy Cam 4 seasons of Alf. Do you all remember when that was on? That dude cracked me up and I didn't even think about it until last night when we were watching Elf. Go figure.:D Anyways DH and I started talking about Alf and DS wanted to know what we were talking about so I pulled up a clip on youtube and he loved it. So, I went on half.com and bought all 4 seasons. That should keep him busy for a while.:)

Cathy - I really want that elliptical now, but sis lives 2 hours away and the weather is starting to get icky so I'm not sure I'll be able to get it until springtime since it will have to ride in the back of a pick up.
IA with the 80's music...it rocks! I totally LOVE the hairband music of the 80's with Aerosmith, DefLeppard, Whitesnake, Poison, Dokken, VanHalen, etc.etc.etc.... It takes me back I tell ya!

So what mindless TV do you watch on Monday? I like Heros and Journeyman. I'm usually only half watching them though as I am usually pecking away at the keyboard at night when I have the TV on.

Wendy - Great job in beating your boss! So do you have a job to go back to? *lol* just kiddin.:p It's also awesome that you are feeling spry today. Ummmmm....yea, I think you are due for a rest day.
IA with Cathy about your scheduled days with clients. It's a business. If you make an appt. it needs to be an appt.! I can see an occasional change, but I would let them know that you have scheduling issues and when a schedule is agreed upon, it needs to be that way. They don't need to know what your issues are....just that you have other things that are scheduled into your life just like everyone else, and that frequent changes just can't happen anymore. It's got to be frustrating as all get out! Nip that one in the bud for sure.

Laura - Glad to hear all went well with the feast. Was it your team that went into triple overtime or was that a different game?
So....YOU have your DH on Antibiotics?? So, either you are a doctor, or you have stockpiled antibiotics and have given those to him. The nurse in me just can't let you off the hook with that one you know. Really though, that's not a good idea at all. You could cause more harm than good. Just get him to go to his doc or even a Quick Care to get what he needs. If he looks and sounds that bad, they'll try to get him thru the system as quickly as possible.
It sounds like you are right in the middle of a germ sandwich...with your DH and PIA co-worker. Maybe you can just arm yourself with some lysol. Maybe PIA would get the hint if you just sprayed in her direction every time she coughed into the air. She sounds like a real piece of work.}(
An entire week off? I'll bet you are rarin to go cause some serious pain! You go girl!!

Cody's team won again tonight. Those boys are amazing. His last practice is tomorrow and they have a game on Weds. and one next Monday as well. I'm kind of looking forward to it being over. I hate being on the run all of the time.
