Good morning BBs! DD14 has Band Camp today so I’m going in later after I drop her off. You’d think I could have slept in but had to get DS12 up at 5:45 for weight training at the high school. Oh well, at least I got to sleep in on Saturday and Sunday.

Here’s how my workouts went this weekend:

Saturday – Results Upper and Lower Body workouts plus 2 mile walk
Sunday – Prevention Fight Cellulite Fast Intervals 1-4 plus Bikini Body Makeover Tank Top Arms and Leg Slimmer and Toner from Exercise TV.

Susan – You’d like BBM Leg Slimmer because it’s all Pilates.

Laurie – How did the Faire go? Are you having better luck with your weekend eating? Want to hear something weird? Unless we’re going out to eat or to a party, I actually do BETTER with my eating over the weekend than I do during the week. Less stress.

Karen – How did DH do in his bike ride? Did you get outside to enjoy the weather?

All for now. Gotta go figure out what workout I’ll do.

Good Morning,

I did Circuit Zone on Sat. and Low Max with the leg add on, Sun. Today I am doing Circuit Max. Haven't done that one in ages.

Sue, why do you think you need a smaller kettlebell? If you go much lighter, it's harder to get the right swing going. Busy day for you. Glad you got to sleep in over the weekend and also got some good workouts in. DH team of 4 took 4th out of 8 for 24 hours.

Laurie, thanks for the info on loosing muscle tone and the like. It is great when you find something that really works for you. Do you think Jiliian works more core than other instructors? It seems people have great results in their ab area when doing her workouts.

Hi Lala and Susan.

Off to swimming lessons.

Hello!:D

The weekend was nice and quiet, just how I like it!;) Saturday was Shred#2,pilates 20mn Excelerated and walk. Sunday was elliptical for 45mn and Pilates Buns & Thighs. I can't decide what I want to do today! I kind of want to do Step Blast or Rythmic Step cuz it's been so long since I've done them! Then part of me wants to do Pump Party or Extreme Intervals... Hmmmmmmmm....I think it'll be Step Blast!:)

Did well on my clean-eating over the weekend. Just "cheated" with some Smart-Pop popcorn yesterday. The scale isn't moving but I have more ab definition so that helps keep me motivated!

Sue, you got in good workouts over the weekend! I will look into that Leg Slimmer workout!

Karen, have fun with Circuit Max!!

Hi Laurie!
Hi Lala!

Karen - I guess I'm a little gun shy about kettlebells since I bruised my forearms trying that one move I can't even remember. (The one you explained for me.) I figure that I won't hurt myself so much while I'm learning if I get a smaller kb. Maybe I just need time to practice but I've been into my circuit workouts so much lately I've haven't taken the time.

Susan - Have fun stepping today!

Does anyone watch Ruby? She broke the 350 mark on last night's episode. It's a big deal for her because she says she's never weighed under 350 in her entire adult life. She's such a sweet soul you can't help but cheer for her. :)

I took it easy and did Bikini Body Makover Cardio Sculpt 10 min. and Bikini Body ready 19 min. and Leslie Start Walking 19 min. I added dumbells to the Leslie and jogging (not at the same time) to increase the intensity. These were easy but fun workouts. Nice to do once in a while.

Hey Sue, I was able to see the Leg Slimming workout and the Tank Top Amrs workout on-line. The Leg Slimming one uses some of the same exercises I use with my Buns & Thigh workout. I am doing the TankTop Arms workout today cause it looks really good!

Have a great day! Susan

Susan, Step Blast or RS would be my picks too. Circuit max was fun. I forgot how much fun some her older workouts are.

Sue, glad you are enjoying your circuits. KB can be a great circuit workout also. They have those sweat wrist bands while you practice that help so you don't bruise your forarms.

Laurie, forgot to tell you how much I love the food logging site you posted. I still haven't met the goal, I am always over--way over on fat and carbs.

Hi again! Step Blast was fun!:D

Laurie, I too wanted to say thanks for posting that food journal site! I have been using it daily and find it better than others I have tried! The Clean Eating book tells us not to go by calorie count but only by portion sizes/hunger levels. However, I have to count calories! I just have to!! :p

Hi everyone! Today I did PLB and a short skate...before the every present rain:(
On Sat I did a 2mi fun run and then did push pull...again, getting out some of Cathe´s oldies! PP is a good one for an extra full body or a day when I just want to feel like I did something!

Laurie, looks like the weather was good for you last weekend...well, up here it would´ve been, anyway!

Susan, Step blast is fun! One of my problems with not counting calories and basing it on if I´m hungry or not (which I think is the best way) is that I eat even when I´m not hungry  So, when I need to lose, I count

Sue, you did get good workouts in the weekend and today!Glad you could sleep in over the weekend. Tomorrow I´ll have to get up early, too. HOw long is DD´s band camp?

Karen, yea, those older workouts are fun...and i´m always surprised at how tough they can be. Cathe really knows how to put a workout together!

Off to do some errands and then get my haircut...nothing out of the ordinary, just have to give it some shape!

Karen,

Laurie - What's this food tracking website everyone is raving about? I read your reply on my BlackBerry but didn't click on the link and never checked back later. I use FitDay and wonder how it compares although I've spent quite a bit of time entering custom foods. I have the $20 downloaded version.

Susan - I have to count calories, too. Even when I was doing Body for Life and they tell you to eat 6 meals a day and approximate your serving sizes instead of measuring or counting, I still counted. I found it could vary by quite a bit if you weren't careful.

Lala - PP and SS (Supersets) are great workouts. The trick for me was finding the magic weight for each exercise - go too light it's too easy, go too heavy it's too hard. Band Camp is 7-8 hours a day for 2 weeks and then they tailor back to 3 hour rehearsals 1-2 times a week. DD had to drag a girl who fainted off the field yesterday (dehydration). She fell right next to her. The girl is okay - just needed water and rest.

Last night I did two 10 minute Exercise TV workouts. One was a hip/leg/abs workout with Cindy Whitmarsh and the other was a standing ab workout. These are so fun to do. They're different and over before you know it. Feeling it in my legs and butt today so I think it's working. :D Off to do cardio now before I dropoff DD for Band Camp.

Good Morning,

Today is our group bike ride.

Lala, the rain sure does come in spurts. Glad you got the fun run in. Funny how we are both pulling out some oldies from Cathe. How did you hair turn out.

Sue, good the girl was ok. Quick workouts are the best. I like Cindy, she puts together some good workouts. Do you think her results are as good as Shred?

Hi Susan.

Hi Laurie.

Off to swimming lessons.

Hope the rain doesn't come for our bike ride tonight.

Have a good day.:)

Karen - I think the results from Results (pun intended) are just as good as Shred. The way you alternate 1 min. of cardio with 1 min. of strength in Results really keeps my heartrate up and makes it very challenging. Don't know about her other workouts. I like Cindy, too. Hope she makes more workouts.

Just finished 4DS HIS cardio and Bag Combo #1 from Rumble. My punch guards on my hands were slipping because of all the sweat! :D

Off to shower and get ready.

Hello ladies! Well so far today I just walked for 40mn. This morning we went tubing down the Wolf River with our church group. It was rough, cause it was shallow. My arms are tired from pushing and pulling off rocks etc... Now that we're home I have to go do yard work and mow lawn.DS has his last b-ball game tonight. I hope to get some pilates in later.

Sue: Here's a link to that web-site for food journaling! http://www.myfitnesspal.com Sounds like you have really been getting good workouts in!

Karen, hope it doesn't rain tonight!

Hi Laurie!

Hi Lala!

Bye For Now! Susan

Hi all. today was PUB. was going to throw some cardio in, but it didn´t happen!

Susan, was the tubing cold? It is still too chilly for me...when the sun goes behind a cloud with the breeze..brrrrr:(

Karen, how did the bike ride go? How far? do you ever race?

Sue, I love 4DS, although haven´t done it for a while... your DD has long practices!

Hi Laurie!

Good Morning,

Today I am doing 10 Days to a Better Body upper and lower and hopefully a run or some type of cardio. Noone showed up for the ride last night so we went only 22 miles. Almost not worth getting dressed in biking gear.

Lala, Do you normally do both cardio and weights on the same day? Are you going to be starting STS again? We normally do one race a year, but this year we haven't been riding much so we decided not to do any.

Susan, that tubing must have been cold. In the morning here it was 50 degrees. Never made it past 60. I would have been blue. You got a good arm workout none the less. Hope you enjoyed the last b-ball game. It rained after we got back from our short one hour ride. I guess it's good we didn't go any longer we would have been caught in a down pour.

Sue, good the Results is as good as Shred because I really don't like Jillian that much and I can't stand the miscounting on each side. You got a good sweaty workout in last night. Now with Cathe coming out with shock cardio I wish I had a heavy bag, just for the dvd she is coming out with.

Hi Laurie.

Have a nice day.

Susan - Thanks for the link. I checked a few foods I normally eat and their database seems to be better than FitDay. I need to spend more time perusing it to see all the features.

Karen - I think 22 miles is worth getting biking gear on. ;) You're used to going at least twice that far so I understand why it felt easy. So do you have a plan for how you're going to use Results?

Lala - The practices are long indeed. DD was starving when I picked her up last night even though they fed her a good dinner.

Hi, Laurie wherever you are!

This morning I did Results Upper + ME upper body. Maybe I'll try Results Lower with ME lower body tomorrow.

Hi! today was MIC--wow! What more can i say?

Karen, Only in the summer do I combine cardio on weight days, unless it´s a circuit type workout. I have more time and this seems odd...but I tend to gain a few lbs in the summer...so I try to combat that. 22 miles...yes, I agree with Sue that for me that would be worth getting the gear on!
DD and I are going to do some biking either this or next weekend. We´re thinking about the Elroy-Sparta trail.

Sue, You got a good UB workout today. Tomorrow we´re having gravel put on our driveway and according to DH I´ll get a killer UB workout with that!

Hi Susan and Laurie!

Hi Gang! Almost forgot to check in today!:p Busy morning with errands and Dr's appointments. This afternoon DS had his buddy over all day! So now I am heading down to do some Pilates. I am pooped but I feel like I have to do something! I did walk Ruby this morning and I did some butt and thigh pilates. I did it until I burned in the backside! I wanted to take the kids out on a really nice bike trail we have, but DS wanted to play with his friend so I hope to go tomorrow!

I had to return Shred this morning.:( I wasn't able to re-new it cause someone else had it one hold! (How dare they!:p) But I think I may order it through Amazon. I am going to look into those Results workouts as well!

Karen, 22 miles would probably wear me out!;)

Lala, I like MIC, but can only handle it every so often. It was the very first Cathe workout I bought so it's kind of "special" to me!;) And it still kicks my butt!

Sue, those practices are looonnng! I'd be starvin' too!

Hi Laurie!

Good night- Susan

Good Morning

Yesterday I ended up adding BM2 circuit section to my results workout. Today I am doing some type of cardio. Any suggestions?

Susan, good butt burn. MIC was my first Cathe too. Hope you get to go on your bike ride today. It is suppose to rain here all day. I guess it is good the workout tapes are getting so much use.

Lala, have fun with the gravel today. It should be a lower body and cardio all in one. Maybe I'll do MIC today.

Sue, don't know how I am going to use Results. The combination you came up with is good. I tend to add cardio on the end instead of body parts but your way is a good way to be able to do circuit workouts daily.

Two more days of swimming lessons.

Enjoy your day.

Lala - I remember hauling yards and yards of gravel to go under our deck. It's a workout for sure.

Susan - Why not order Shred and Results at the same time? ;) :D See what an enabler I am? Burning in the butt sounds good. Can you sit down today? :p

Karen - You had quite the workout yesterday. I like circuits but sometimes I feel like the weight work falls short so it felt good to add on some weights yesterday.

Getting used to these half days. Tomorrow I have to work a full day. :(

Off to do my workout now. BBL.

Workout is done. I did Results Lower + ME Leg Press premix + 1 mile Leslie. That leg press premix is hard! 7 minutes of nothing but leg presses.

Off to shower and get ready to dropoff DD at Band Camp and go to work.

Have a great day everyone!
