Don't know if anyone will be around this week so I may be talking to myself here :p. First off, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed the time spent with family. You've all been good so I'm sure Santa was good to you (or as good as he can be with this economy). Hope you all enjoyed some yummy treats, too. Hey, it just gives you more energy for your workouts! ;) :D

So far I'm loving STS. I was afraid these would be too high impact and/or too advanced but I'm finding them easy to modify and surprisingly not having to modify as much as I thought I would. I'm still scared of 40-20 though. So far I've done 30-30 HIIT, Cardio Blast and MMA Boxing. I loved all of them so far. I know some are disappointed the workouts aren't longer but I'm a fan of shorter workouts that I can mish-mosh with something else if I have more time. Haven't previewed or tried the Step workouts yet but I'd like to do one of those next.

Hi gals,

Today I did 40-20. Yikes! I really liked it. I also did 4DS bi/tri.

Sue, was it circuit blast you did? How was 30-30 in getting through it? I had way to many yummy treats. Did you get any new exercise things for Christmas? Congrats on winning the BL contest.

Hi everyone else. Hope you all had a great Christmas. We are off to my brother-in laws house on Thursday. I guess I won't be getting in many workouts this week. Then back to school on Mon. and trying to figure out when to exercise. I am so thankful I have this job though. Today is DH birthday so I need to get a cake made.

Have a great day.

Hi and hope everyone's Christmas was merry, merry!! Mine was an "exercise" Christmas. I got Nike running capris and a Nike running top and Nike thermal running gloves and a Nike arm band for my phone when I run!!! All that and then while running through our basement I stubbed my big toe on a pair of boots and am now sitting here icing it :(

But I got my STS Cardio Christmas Eve, previewed them all (except travel fit) and did Cardio Circuit before my mishap. I loved it, but it doesn't really hit all body parts.

Sue, I'm with you on the length of these workouts...they're tough enough to be shorter!

Karen, glad to "see" you back! Have a great time at the in-laws and enjoy the break from work...they go by way too fast!

Hi Laurie and Susan!

Good Morning,

Today I am planning no 4DS Legs and cardio core.

Lala, to bad all body parts are not covered in circuit blast. Cathe normally does a great job in that area. What would you suggest, an add on of some body parts? To funny all that running stuff and you stub your toe running. How is it today? Have you been out for a run lately? Are the roads pretty clear for you to run? Glad you had a very Christmas. Have you used your Gymboss yet?

Have a wonderful day.

Hi Ladies! Glad to hear you all enjoyed your Holiday! Yesterday was very hectic running errands etc.. so I only got a walk in. Today is BFBM followed by 2 or 3 sections of 10mn Solution BBT.

Lala, sorry to hear about your toe! Those can really hurt!

Sue, glad you are liking the new dvd's!

Karen, so glad to see you back! We have a hectic New Years coming up as well. We still need to celebrate Christmas at my sister's this weekend! I'll be so happy to get back to work next week!:p

I sat down and wrote out a little rotation for a Kick-Off to 2010. However, I hope to get some new workouts so I wrote it in pencil so I can switch things!:p I got my Collage Video catalog yesterday and saw some more that I'd like to try!

Take care ladies! Stay warm! Susan

Susan, what does your rotation look like? What new dvd's are you interested in. Did you end up getting Shock Cardio? Have fun this weekend and take it easy. Nice workout you have planned today. I really missed you guys, I just have to find a way to get everything in like you do.

I tell you Cardio Core Circuit is one tough workout. I almost stopped a few times thinking I couldn't finish. I don't think I've ever done a harder workout. What a whimp? Did anyone else do this one? I saw Sue did this workout. You must be in better shape than I am.

Good Morning! Today I swam, have to give the ol´toe a rest! Haven´t been for a run lately, Karen, our roads are below average, but I see an occassional runner using the streets rather than the sidewalks! I did get my gymboss and after some trial and error, it works well.

As far as cardio circuit, you could add in tris and bis, which I may do since it´s only 44 mins or I also think that it can be considered just cardio.

Susan, do share your rotation!! I hope to keep up the exercise this week and take next week as a rest!

Have a great day...looks like the co:(ld is back

Karen - I meant Circuit Blast instead of Cardio Blast. Haven't tried Cardio Core Circuit yet but you're scaring me if you didn't think you could finish! 30-30 was tough but very do-able. I modified a bit because tuck jumps and froggie jumps hurt my knees the next day. I do jumping knee smashes like Cathe does in Cardio Kicks. Less impact and keeps my heart rate up. I got Barry's Bootcamp Code Red for Christmas. DH also installed a board next to my puzzle mats so they wouldn't shift and separate so much.

Lala - Sorry to hear about your toe. Ouch! That must have hurt. Nice Christmas presents. I thought about asking for some cold weather running clothes but that would mean I'd actually have to go outside in the cold and I much prefer my warmer basement. ;) I'm SO cold today, too. I'm wearing a cardigan over a fleece top. Brrrrrrr!

Susan - What kind of rotation are you planning for 2010? Sure wish I could stick to a rotation. Maybe that should be my New Years resolution? ;) Hope things slow down enough for you to enjoy the rest of your time off.

I did Butts and Guts yesterday. Nothing yet today. Took the kids to Speed Camp today. It is supposed to make them better athletes by showing them how to be more in tune with their body, proper technique for jumping, athletic stance, strenthening exercises, use of foam rollers, dynamic warmup, stretching. It's better than the other Speed Camp that DS is in where they do 2 solid hours of running, lunging, ladder and cone drills. We signed up the kids because Dojo is closed this week and we wanted them to get some form of exercise in other than Wii Sports Resort.

Off to take DD to the dentist. Will workout when I get home.

ETA: I pre-ordered Tracey's Walk Stronger. Taking a bit of a gamble but I really enjoy tougher Leslie walking dvds and the description said it'd be intense even without a treadmill. Great add-on or to use on an easier day.

Hey again!

Karen, all I did for the rotation was wrote down every workout I have and mixed them in. I workout pretty much every day but Sundays are a lighter workout- usually Pilates. I am doing cardio 5-6 days and strength 2-3 days. It's just a wide variety. The only workouts I did more than once was KPC and BFBM. Otherwise everyday is different.

As for what new ones I want? Cathe's Cardio Core Circuit, Athletic Step, and Kickmax. Tracy Effinger's Squeeze 30 Day Transfrm.,10mn Solution Quick Sculpt Pilates, and possibly LaloFitII and 30mn to Fitness Cardio Blast. I know there are more I want but am undecided on!

Sue, that Speed Camp sounds so neat! Did the kids like it? I think I would enjoy it!:D I am renting Leslie's 5 mile from the library again to see if I still like it before I order it! I too thought it'd be good when the weather was bad or one of those days I don't feel like jumping around!

Have a good night! Susan

PS: Okay I just previewed MMA Boxing and I will have to get that one too!!

Susan - I hope you didn't get Leslie's 5 Day Fit Walk. I picked that one up when we were in Sports Authority getting a football for DS and it's a real dud. 5 Mile Fat Burning is SO much better! I haven't tried CCC or Athletic Step yet but they've had positive feedback so far. Yes, the kids like Speed Camp. DS likes this one better than the other one because it's more instructional and not as exhausting! The other speed camp is 2 solid hours of drills and DS is exhausted and sore afterwards. Sounds like fun to me! :D :p Imagine the fat burning!

Last night I practiced Step Moves. Some of the combos took a few times rewinding before I got them. Still need more practice but I think I've got about 70% of it down. I also did MuscleMax Upper Push/Pull premix. This morning I did 2 1/2 miles from the Leslie "Dud" dvd (see above). Still have to try 2 other workouts on that dvd before I declare it a total dud.

Off to take the kids to Speed Camp. Going to practice Step Moves again later. Have a great day everyone.

Hello! Today is Bootcamp and I also walked, hope to get some good stretching in as well.

Sue, it was the 5 mile Fat Burning not the "dud" that I am interested in.;) I have previewed them on Collage and read reviews. I bet you'll get Step Moves down pretty soon. When I watched the preview it did seem a bit more dancey to me tool! Have fun!

Hi Lala!

Hi Laurie!

Hi Karen!! How are you feeling after CCC?

Have a good day! More running around for me!
Susan

Morning Ladies,

Well all the festivities with the family is over, and the drive back yesterday was made with wonderful road conditions. :D The very bright sunlight did give me a headache after we got home, but I can deal with that.

Santa was very good to me, and I received some workout capri's, Jackie Warners new DVD, and my DH bought the tower from Cathe. It surprised the heck out of me. But dang I was happy. :D

I was not able to workout since Sunday morning, and that was a run on the treadmill. This morning was another run getting that one done on the treadmill, because I was just to lazy to get all that warm weather gear on. I want to get in Jillian's NMTZ also.

I only have tried out the MMA Boxing & Kickboxing, and those where great workouts. Have to remember that these where made to go with STS Strength workouts, so that may be why Cardio Circuit is light on the Bi's and Tri's. Will be interesting to see how Cathe incorporates these workouts into the STS rotation. :D

Lala, Oldest DD and I are going to head to Sports Authority or down to the Under Armour store in Kenosha to get some warm weather running gear. I need some gloves, a new hat (because I lost mine in a store up North this weekend ), tights, running pants... Oh the list is endless. :D

Karen, Have a great time with your family for New Years. Glad the job is going so well, and I'm sure that you will be able to find a time to workout. ;)

Sue, That Speed Camp sounds like a lot of fun. I know that my oldest goes to the HS every other day after school for speed work. I'm thinking that when I get Insanity that it will be very similar to those workouts.

Susan, You have been very busy with your workouts, and your new purchases sound great.

Have a great day!

Today I combined meso 2 UB...tried for an hour workout, but it came in at about 75 mins. I´ll have to work that out better if I want an hour of total body. Also did some of the STS bonus legs...am still babying my toe...but my DD and DH don´t seem to think it´s anything...I´m getting no sympathy from them! :(:(

Tomorrow I´ll probably swim again!

Susan, do you ever feel like you need a break, working out 7 days/week?

Laurie, sounds like Santa was good to you! Have fun shopping with DD!

Sue, LOL about having to run outside if you got the gear...me too! That speed camp sounds really good...especially the foam roller thing! I´ve been wanting to try that! Sounds like they are getting a well-rounded routine!

Just got back from a swim...I always feel GREAT after I swim:D:D:D
HAPPY NEW YEAR AND NEW DECADE!!!
