Morning Ladies,

Last week of October is before us, where did the time go. Saturday was Insanity Cardio Core & Balance. Then it was off to the cc meet, DD didn't qualify, but she sure gave it her best effort. She was the first girl on her team to cross the finish line. I'm proud of her for that. The course was very slippery, and we saw two twin sisters fall down. I was then off to dance class with the youngest, and right after that we went to the 25th Anniv. party. I proceeded to eat way to much tasty German food! Sunday I took as a rest day, because I was tired and I also went to the gift opening at the BIL's/SIL's house. Where again I ate some good German food. This morning was P90X Chest, Shoulders & Triceps, will have to get in Ab RipperX after work today.

Didn't get a chance to get any housework done this weekend, so I still have that to look forward to this week. Guess it will be a little bit every night until the house doesn't look like a tornado went through it.

Have a wonderful day!

Hi,

Today I did Lauren Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning Vol. 2 Kettlebell workout.

Laurie, congrats for such a wonderful year for you DD. I am sure you are proud. Sounds like you had a yummy weekend. Have fun with ab ripper.

Have to work a long day tomorrow because of conferences again. Tonight is a choir concert for DD18. Can't believe this is one of the last times I will see her sing in the HS choir. She has been accepted to Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown. I really don't want her to go away. Glad she is going there though.:)

Have a great day.

Laurie---sounds like you had an exciting weekend with some good food. I see you got those shoulders, chest and triceps fired up this morning.

Karen---enjoy the special events of your daughter's senior year. Glad to hear that she has made a college decision.

I didn't workout this weekend so I had 3 days of rest. This morning I did PUB down only premix followed by Hiit 40/20. I had a great weekend.

Hi gang! Staurday was a 4.5 mile run. Then busy getting kids Halloween costumes set and later had a Halloween party to attend. Sunday was busy running more errands and helping both kids with homework, book reports etc. Took it as a "rest" day. Today I did Turbo Jam "Kick,Punch Jam". I plan to run 2 miles early in the morning. We're to have about 50 mile an hour winds here so I hope to run before it really kicks in! After work I plan to do something else but haven't decided what!

Laurie, congrats to DD for a good CC season. She should be proud of herself! Sounds like lots of good German food was eaten this weekend but with as dedicated as you are to your workouts, you can handle that! :D

Karen, sounds like a good college your DD chose. I love listening to my DD13 sing in her choir and I dread the day I won't be able to hear it any longer!

Heartymax, glad you had a great weekend! You're all rested up and ready to go!

Hi! This past weekend we celebrated my birthday by gong to Fort Atkinson and seeing Hairspray at the dinner theater. Boy were we impressed! Meanwhile DD22 made me my favorite carrot cake...so a wonderful weekend!

And am still on my rest week went to the doc for my shoulder. Xray will tell, but she thinks I may have the beginnings of arthritis :( she knows I lift and so suggested i take it a bit easier for a while.

so tomorrow I´m planning on Cardio Circuits.

Susan, nice job on the running! Hope to get some in this week, too!

Laurie, congrats to DD! And, hey, that housework always seems to be there!

Karen, Well, Watertown isn´t as far as Boston ;)

Heartymax, sounds like a great workout combo!

Hi Sue!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY,LALA!!

HOPE YOU HAD A WONDERFUL ONE!
:D

May the year ahead be a healthy and happy one for you!

Susan

I'm back! Well the run did not happen this morning! Not with 45+ mph winds and rain! I'll be getting on the elliptical after work today and then maybe a quick Pilates workout.

Our HS football team is to play tonight in the playoffs. The town they are going to currently has a power outage so I'm thinking they might have to re-schedule!

Hope you all don't blow away today!

I am getting excited about the new Cathe DVD's! Plan on using them right through the Holidays combined with my running.

Have a good day!

Susan

Morning Ladies,

Insanity Pure Cardio and Ab Ripper X for me this morning. As you can see I didn't get the workout done last night. After grocery shopping and then having to make dinner, I was just not in the mood. :)

Karen, Congrats to your dd, Watertown is a great area. I understand that feeling of seeing the last of things for their K-12 yrs. Seems like we just saw them graduate from Kindergarten doesn't it. ;)

heartymax, Nice workout combo. Hey we all need a little downtime! ;)

Lala, Happy Birthday! My youngest dd went to see Hairspray also, and We Energies decided to cut the power during the show. We have two free tickets to see that show, so one of us should take her to see the ending.:D She loves Hairspray! Keep us posted on the shoulder!

Susan, Yes that wind is really bad, just got an e-mail from my sister. She works at Case, and the tractor factory had a tornado this morning. She said it damaged a church near the factory, but their building is ok. We had a dead tree that came down, but that is a good thing.

Have a great day!

Happy Belated Birthday, Lala! :) Sounds like you had a fun weekend.

Susan - Our football team plays tonight, too! Go Wolverines! And I hope Sun Prairie kicks Arrowhead's butt! (I'm from SP and hate Arrowhead.) I'm looking forward to the Cathe dvds, too. Wise idea not to run this morning.

Karen - I used to pass through Watertown all the time when I-94 was under construction and I visited my folks. Nice little town.

Laurie - I'm glad the dead tree didn't land on anything. Didn't hear about Case or the tornado. Scary.

The end of last week was bad again with 4 rest days in a row and bad eating. I hate that I do that to myself over and over again. We have Biometric testing (cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes, etc.) next week at work in order to qualify for health insurance so if that doesn't motivate me, nothing will.

I did KCM Circuit Blast 1 & 2 on Sunday. Yesterday I did 5 Leslie miles + selected chapters from Ripped 1000 (cardio mostly, the pulse lunges and 70 pushups). I did the pushups on my knees because I just didn't feel up to doing "big girl" pushups. This morning I did NYC Latte premix but skipped the 2nd set of abs due to time constraints. I like the abs in this one. Not too tough - which is probably why I like them! :p Kids are off for a 5 day weekend so life will be less crazy and I *should* be able to get my workouts in. Key word here - should.

Hi gang,

Today I got a break before conferences tonight so I did Hiit pyramid and MMA kickbox.

Sue, Don't feel bad, I keep doing the same thing you do. I am very sporadic at best. It is frustrating though. You get in good workouts when you do fit them in. Good luck to your football team tonight if they get to play.

Laurie, way to keep moving on those workouts. That puff layer will be gone in no time. How does pure cardio compare to fast and furious?

Susan, why didn't you run in 45 mph winds. You would have gone really fast in one direction.;) 4.5 miles, wow! great job you are moving up quickly. I am excited about Cathe's new videos also. Have we heard any more updates?

Lala, Happy belated birthday. Glad you enjoyed your weekend. How sweet of DD to make you your favorite cake. Hope the results on your arm are good.

heartymax, nice combo of workouts you put together. On a day I need both cardio and upper body I will do that mix.

Have a great day.

Lala I hope you had a great birthday! I have never seen Hairspray (not even the movie) but I have heard great things. Sounds like you had fun.

Susan---is the weather better this evening? I didn't order all the new DVD's. I ordered the one for lower body and the high reps. I did not opt for High Intensity yet. I am wondering if it is too high impact with a bunch of plyos etc so I am waiting before I make a decision on it. I sure hope the music is much better in these than the last ones. I need some good music when I work out.

Laurie----I had such a busy weekend until I had to go grocery shopping after work yesterday too and then cooked dinner. I went to bed early then i woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep....so I was awake for a while. Then, I had to drag myself out of bed this morning. I knew I couldn't take another rest day after having 3 days of rest.

Anyway, I got in Intervals 1 - 5 of Imax 2. I hate those Air Jacks, but other than that....I enjoyed it. I was short on time so I had to make it 30 minutes....and I was tired anyway:D

Morning Ladies,

P90X Back & Biceps for me this morning, didn't set my alarm clock so woke up a little later than usual. Still need to get an ab workout done, but if I don't have a chance to do that tonight then it will be added to tomorrows yoga.

Sue, I have not been paying attention to football, but I know that one of our teams wins was off of Arrowhead! ;) Terrible results for SP on that game yesterday. :( I'm still doing some of the push-ups on my knees, Tony says I can. LOL

Karin, I would say that F&F is just a shorter version of Pure Cardio. He does only two rounds for the warm up in F&F vs three. The intensity is the same, because you don't get a break unless you need to take one.

heartymax, I don't like Air Jacks either. ;) Maybe it is because I'm not able to jump as high as Cathe & crew.

Have a wonderful day!

Yeah! Our football team won 30-13 last night! It was a great game. Surprised I have a voice today after all the screaming I did. Our next game is on Saturday against Arrowhead which is the only team we lost to all season (10-7 was the score so very close). DH says we're the better team so I hope we win! Go Wolverines! :D Sorry NY25!

Sun Prairie did lose badly. I wonder if it was because their QB was hurt. My brother said he had 22 stitches in the last game.

Laurie - If Tony says knee pushups are okay, then that makes me feel even better.

Hi Heartymax, Karen, Susan and Lala!

I have to take a health screen tomorrow morning and supposed to avoid vigorous exercise for 23 hours beforehand as it may cause dehydration. Can't I just drink water aftewards? Didn't find out my health screen was TOMORROW until today so was planning on working out tonight. I'll go for a long walk instead. That shouldn't dehydrate me.

Hi,

Today I did Peak 10 Cardio Strength. I really love this workout.

Our football team won last night also and play on Sat. The way they treat the soccer players around here makes me not really care if they win or lose.

Sue, yahoo! for your team. Hope your weather is better there than it is here for walking. It is rainy and 36 degrees here with lots of wind. I guess our yard cleanup is not done afterall.

Laurie, it's got to be harder getting up early with it being so dark for so long now. I guess if Tony says it is ok, it is. Are you liking doing yoga every week?

Have a great day all.

Hi there! Well, our FB team lost last night.:( DH said they didn't stand a chance against the team they were playing, but I wanted to be optimistic! Oh well, glad to hear your teams are winning!

Today is going to be Power Hour. I am off the rest of the week so that should be nice! Plan to run 3 miles tomorrow.

Laurie & Sue, I still do some of my push-ups on my knees as well. For some reason my shoulders can't take it if I do full body ones for too long.

I am so tired of all the wind!!!

Take care- Susan

Today was Low Impact Circuit.

Glad to hear about all the football team wins! My kids are younger and we don't have that high school team spirit activities in our house yet. They play sports but there is nothing like high school spirit. I do remember those exciting days----many many years ago though YIKES!

Susan - Sorry your team lost. :( There were some tough matchups in the first round and a lot of controversy around here about eliminating some very good teams early on.

Heartymax - We didn't get into the local high school sports when our kids were little either. It makes a big difference when your kids are old enough to know some of the kids on the team. I think I'm having even more fun at the games than I did in high school! :)

Morning Ladies,

Today was One on One Fountain of Youth, and I'm starting to feel like Gumby. Doing yoga once a week has really been helping me get more flexible. ;) Well I woke up late again this morning (power outage), so I didn't have enough time to get in that ab workout. It is a must do for after work tonight. :D

Sue, Good luck with the health screen today. Congrats on the win, hope they are successful on Saturday too! ;)

Karin, I'm planning on getting those Peak 10 workout, so very happy that you liked the strength one. On fb she said that she is in rehearsal for some new workouts, so I'm guessing that they are part of the 10 DVD set for this series. Loving my yoga! :D

Susan, How was your run today? Little chilly this morning, I always enjoyed the lower temps for running.

heartymax, I really do enjoy watching my girls in sports or dance. Now I know why my Mom was such a crazy lady when I was playing. She was one of the loudest supporters! That is the way I am too!

Have a wonderful day!

Laurie - Or should I call you Gumby? ;) Great job on keeping up with the yoga. I have to get back to doing that again. Medical screen went fine. They weren't supposed to share any numbers with us but the lady who checked my blood pressure said it was fine and I watched her write down 120/82. Don't know how my other numbers will turn out.

Feeling like doing a circuit tonight. Haven't done Circuit Max in a long time so thinking about that one or LIC.
