Breakfast Ideas

Does anyone have any quick breakfast ideas that include both protein & carbs? I don't care for eggs, but I try to eat them once in a while for variety. Are there any good cereal options? I would try making smoothies with tofu, but I've never tried tofu before so I do not know what to buy or what combination of foods would work best with it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Whole-grain toast with nut butter and a glass of milk, soymilk, smoothie.

High-protein cereal with milk or soymilk and some flax, lecithin, protein powder on it, also maybe some berries or raisins.

Hot cereal with ground walnuts, berries, raisins and milk. Also maybe flaxseed and protein powder.

A saute/scramble with green/red peppers, onion, tofu and soy sauce, with a piece of toast.

Fat free cottage cheese sprinkled with some hi-protein Kashi or Fiber One cereal. I will sometimes have a low carb protein shake in addition to a bowl of old-fashioned oatmeal.

Kashi GoLean Crunch is a good ceral and I think it has about 9 grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber.

I usually mix low-fat cottage cheese, lemon yogurt, frozen blueberries, mango, apple and some crused walnuts together for breakfast.

Another idea that I adapted a little came from one of the recent fitness magazine is:

1/4 cup water
1 tsp. honey
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 Kashi GoLean frozen waffle
frozen blueberries/mango (or whatever fruit you like)
1/4 cup low-fat cottage cheese
1 cont. yogurt (whatever flavor you like)

Mix the water, honey and cinnamon together and place in a pan coated with butter cooking spray. Bring to a boil and add the mango slices. Let cook for 2 minutes, in the meantime toast your waffle. After the mango has cooked take out the slices and add your waffle to the syrup mixture and coat on both sides. Mix the cottage cheese, yogurt, and fruit together place on top of the waffle.

I like to add frozen blueberries to both of these something about the cold fruit really makes it taste good. I am not big on eggs either so I usually do the above or have a protein shake.

Hello,
My favorites are:

1/2 cup or a little more of fiber one
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of peanut butter
and sometimes I mix in some cool whip free.
Mix it all together

or
1 cup fat free cottage cheese
1/2 to 1 cup fresh stawberries and blueberries - or any other fruit you like.
1 or 2 splenda packets
dash of cinnamon
dash of vanilla
blend in some cool whip free.
Throw in some almonds if you like.
Mix together
It was surprising to me how good this one was.
