Any PYGFOers?

Hey, I know we are few, but I wanted to post one last time, even if it's to officially say good-bye to our thread. :(

Plus, it's my 300th post, and I wanted it to be with y'all. :)

Gin, thanks for the messages. I've missed you, too. I hope your mom is doing better. I did read your question to Cathe about STS and the 1/2 marathon. Sounds like you'll need to choose. Which will it be? I feel better about my own training when I hear that you've only done 3 miles!! I've been feeling bad about my own training, thinking that you run so consistently, and then do a Cathe workout afterwards!! :D I'm up to 4 miles and hope to be up to running 6 without much trouble by mid-December. The training schedule is for 10 weeks, and I need to start it mid-December in order to finish by Feb 21. When is your half-marathon?

Lara--How are you and Finley? I'm assuming you got over your cold and got to go back to workouts. How much are you working now? How is that working with a new baby? I'm sure you're a busy lady!!

Well, waves to any one else who stops in.

Good Morning PYGFOers!

Laura~Thank you for starting this thread. Congrats on your 300th post!:D Working fulltime now, it is tough for me to get on and post as much as I would like to. Obviously with teaching I am not able to get on the computer during the day.
Is the village, where the pastor was from that I heard speak in Houston, any where near where you are? He was a wonderful speaker.
My mom is doing better, thank you. She is home from the hospital, but still is weak and my sweet dad has to do alot for her.
My friend and I are commited to doing the half marathon Feb. 28th, even if we have to walk some of it. I found a training schedule from coolrunning.com. We need to be up to 6 miles by the end of Dec. We went 5 on Sat. But it was a walk/run combo. I guess I will wait to start STS until March.

Lara~How is your sweet baby Finley? Have you been able to workout? I can only imagine how busy you are.

Hi to all others that may pop by.
Happy Thanksgiving!!:)

Hey, Gin. It cracks me up that 30 people have viewed this thread, but so far none of them have posted. So it's just a conversation between the 2 of us. :D

I ran 5 miles this morning and was pumped. I'm thinking about going for 6 on Saturday. Running 4 and 5 miles is hard because I have to run these zig zag routes around the neighborhood. But the outside circuit is 3 miles exactly, so I could just ran that twice. I think I'll try it. (We'll see!)

We'll be running our 1/2 maries close together. A friend was up here today from the capital who is running a marathon in December. Wow. She ran a 1/2 last year, and she might join me for my 1/2 in Feb, but she's not promising anything till after the full marathon! Wise.

Did I tell you that DH agreed to run the 1/2 with me? We'd love to train together, too, but that will be hard because in order to run early in the morning when it's cool, we'd have to leave the house together and who would stay with the kids? We may work on that, though. For now, we'll do our own thing till we can figure it out.

Hello all you lurkers out there! ;) Feel free to join the conversation.

Hello!!

I have missed you all!! We just got back from traveling to southwest AR. It was Finley's first road trip. I took us around 4 hours to get there, and 5 1/2 to get back. She actually did pretty well. We had to stop a few more times on the way home. She was tired of being in her car seat!

Laura...Congrats on your 300th post!! I have not fully recovered yet. I have horrible allergies even with my allergy shots. I still can't take my "cocktail" shot as they call it, or take some medicines since I am bfeeding. I guess I just have to stick it out. I have worked out, but I am only averaging between 3-4 workouts per week. I am not used to that little. I keep losing weight though. I am way below my pre-pregnancy weight. Normally I would be excited about that, but I think it is all muscle mass:(. I am back to work full time, but I am not seeing my after school patients yet. I just can't be away from Finley for 12 hours straight!! That is great that DH will be joinng you on your half. Great job on your running!!

Gin...Finley is great! She was a hit at Thanksgiving. We have a large family on my mom's side. There were about 60 people there (we had to rent out a church so we would all fit in one place). I barely saw Finley because everyone else wanted to hold her. I am not sure about what happened to your mom, but I hope she is recovering well.

Finley is actually asleep right now (this is still way early for her). I think I may need to take advantage and go to bed!! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!!
