A Note Of Sorrow

Senator Paul Wellstone of Minnesota, one of the great liberal voices of the Senate, along with his wife Sheila, his daughter and several campaign aides, died this morning in a plane crash from St. Paul to Eveleth.

Regardless of whether one agreed with his views or not, it cannot be argued that he was tireless, passionate and deeply committed to the role of public service and leadership. His wife Sheila was an advocate for the cause of domestic violence victim / survivors.

They will be mourned, and missed.

My heart goes out to his family and to Minnesotans. He seemed like an incredible man and it is a terrible tragdy!
