Starting us off. I took a rest day Saturday (slept in) and Sunday forced myself to do Disc22, I was pleasantly surprised that it was over so quick, thought the w/o was 65 min, it was only 45, guess Cathe cut us some slack on the last week of meso2. The drop sets were brutal though. I still have overwhelming fatigue, not sleepy (maybe that's why I'm not sleeping -- wake up at 2am, but then I'm pampering myself and not making me get up then at any particular time), but I still just have no get-up-and-go. I don't like feeling like this, hope it passes soon...I'm sure stress doesn't help. Work is overwhelming, still worried about my DS22 who I worry is going to get in over his head....sigh
 
Hi girls! It's Monday...again! The weeks go by so fast! Today did disc 22 and 30 min. on the bike. I am creeping back up and I need to stop the weight gain, maybe if I stopped eating so much? Lisa, hope you got some sleep last night. Hopefully if you get a decent night's sleep, that will help your fatigue. Hi to everyone else! Talk to you later! Mary
 
Happy Monday! today I ran 5 miles, I'm much slower than I used to be, but at least I did it, right?

Mary, I did sleep good last night, fingers crossed this continues :) I'm gaining weight too! I probably need to watch what I eat more, but I'm in a funk with food where nothing is appetizing so then I go for less than ideal choices. Not to mention the chocolate I hit up this last week (DH even went out to get chocolate my craving was so bad).
 
Hey all. I just got back from a 30 min power walk. It felt good and the weather cooperated. Of course rain is expected for most of the rest of the week, but that is another story. :)

Mary, maybe it's "the change" causing us to gain weight. Seems I'm either chalking anything bad up to that or work :)

Murphy, we need rain, we've already had 3 forest fires already this year and it's only April!
 
OMG Lisa. I hope you get some rain soon. The weather seems to be a feast or famine thing - floods in one area and fires in another. It sort of makes me wonder about the whole 2012 theory.
 
another good night's sleep. I was up early, but I fell asleep early too (got 2 pages read and fell asleep---I need a better strategy for reading :) Anyway, I finished STS meso 2!!!!! Back/Bi workout and I did CCC ab part only and I rode the bike for 20 min. I tried to read my Nook while I was riding the bike, got a few drops of sweat on it, whoops!
 
Lisa, congrats! I did disc 23 today, I will finish on Thurs. I really don't think I am going to do meso 3. I'm glad you got some sleep, are you feeling better? I have to go to a track meet, not excited about it! It is freezing here! I need to get in the shower, have a good night! Mary
 
Hi girls! I did the bike and then the double HIIT and bootcamp from Intensity. Last year when I could only ride the bike is when I lost the weight, I hope it works this time! The track meet was miserable and cold and windy and there is another one on Friday! Lisa, hope the sleep continued! Murphy, what have you been doing? I know Ronne is busy this week. Hey everyone! I did TF 55 Ez, I was up early (but slept continously and 7 hrs so that's good). My BFF and I plan to hike today too! She said she may not be able to keep up with me (she's 55) so I thought I'd wear myself out for her before we hike :) It's cloudy and may rain here though, hopefully it isn't too cool and doesn't rain before we get our hike in.

Mary, I only rode the bike for 20 min yesterdsay with padded shorts and my butt already hurts! Do you just have an upright stationary bike or a spin bike or a recumbant? I've thought the recumbant would be nice to burn while I read (and maybe I won't drip sweat on my nook like I did when I stood up to pedal on my spin bike). I'm wondering if we have some water weight built up in our muscles from STS? My muscles sure do feel pumped!
 
HI all. Mary, did I read that right? You rode the bike and then did an Intensity pre-mix? Okay, I feel lazy - well I have been lazy but that is not the point. I had a rest day yesterady and today I did less than 1/2 of CCC. My assistants were with me and I could not get much done. I forgot how hard that is. I don't know why I try these cardio dvd after coming off a cold. I know I say this each time. I must make myself a note to ease back in when I come off a cold.

Lisa/Mary - do you enjoy your bikes? Of course when I saw that Cathe is planning a spinning dvd I immediately thought about getting a bike, but cooler heads prevailed and I will wait on it. It sounds really interesting - as does everything she does. By the way, is it just the three of us this week?

Back from my hike, 4 hours because we got lost! Not sure how far we went (couldn't figure out the GPS app), but I'm guessing 12 miles. I think that counts for 2 workouts doesn't it?

Murphy, I don't really like the bike, I'm hoping Cathe makes it more fun.

It is nice out and I felt like walking today. I am not sure if I will do anything at home tonight - my assistants will need to be occupied!

Lisa - 12 miles counts for at least 4 workouts! :)

Mary - I am getting chubby too. I just ate a box of Gertrude Hawk smidgens and I don't even like chocolate. I like the peanut butter inside. Now I better go running!
 
Hi everyone, came here to escape for a bit. No w/o, duh! I was up early but my body said no. Now my body isn't feeling bad at all so hope to do something tomorrow (unless I sleep in).

Better get back to work, I really needed a longer escape from this crap going on here. this is crazy.
 
Hi girls! Disc 24 is done! Murphy, even when your "assistants" get older, they mess with your w/o! Now, mine like to argue and come in and ask me to fix it? Then I get a little crabby! What are smidgens? They sound marvelous! Lisa, good with a rest day. Well, off to do wash, etc. I think I might get on the TM. Talk to you tomorrow. Mary

I am still on my walking kick. I need to incorporate more Cathe so I don't scare people when I wear my shorts! :-0

Mary - smidgens are small pieces of chocolate (or whatever), sort of what you would give a child. A sample size. A taste. "I just want a taste, a smidgen." Of course it is not a smidgen anymore when you eat the whole box!
