40s Moms! 5/8/11

Quick post to get us started for the week. Hope you all have a great Mother's Day. I saw DS19 Friday, said he was too busy studying for finals to drive 'all the way back' on Sunday I made him hug me (he isn't a hugger). He got an award in Organic Chemistry which included $100. Still tracking with straight A's and will be a tutor next year. Waiting to see if/when DS22 comes by (of course I"m sure they'll spend more time with HER mother....that's the life of having boys I guess).

Workouts...Sat Intensity Step portion only---and that was enough! And mowed the lawn for the first time this year. Sun Muscle Max.

DH still has lots of pain, been a hard recovery. WE think it's the stent (dr warned us of the fact most people feel same pain with the stent as they did with the stone), I looked it up and it goes from the Kidney all the way into the Bladder. Let's hope after they remove the stent on Wed he starts feeling better. I was a bit worried about him Friday night was worrying that we might have an ER visit. Poor guy!

Hi Lisa and everyone else

Well done to your youngest DS. He's doing well isn't he? You've got some good workouts in this weekend. Sounds like DH is really suffering.

I was supposed to do MM on Saturday but just couldn't be bothered! Yesterday was DD's gymnastics club anniversary so spent most of the day there.

Today I'm back into it again and did Intensity. It was super tough but I did OK.

Hey, ladies. Another 40 year wanting to join in. I've been doing Cathe workouts since 1998 I think. Are you all following her May's rotation? Im trying to. I've made a few adjustments already. I'm also training for a 10K on Thanksgiving Day. I ran 2.5 on Saturday. Working my way up slowing. On Wed, I'm scheduled for speed drills and hills. I'm 45 and have quite a bit of weight to lose. I"ve lost 9 this year so far. I'm currently on the WWers thread weekly also, but I thnk Im the oldest. I did step portion of Intensity today. Burned 521 calories. Wow, wasnt that a lot of info.

so, what do yall say? Can I join your group.

Don't know what happened yesterday. I never made it here. Yesterday, I did ME.

Today according to the rotation it's cycling so I'm going to do some hi-lo for a change. Probably some Christy Taylor.

Did Circuit Blast today. It's raining here .... yippee, we've been so dry, and it's even snowing 30 min away where my boys go to college in the foothills of the mountains.

Ronne, what? no cycling? did you preorder Cathe's new series yet? DH is ok, still some pain, we hope once he gets the stent out today that the pain eases up.

Tomorrow I'll be skipping my workout because I figure I'll get enough of a workout moving my son out of his apartment. Told DH he has no business doing any lifting! So my and my 2 boys will be handling that, DH can drive the truck, and the fiance is cleaning the apartment (thank goodness for her, I don't want to clean AT ALL ! )

I wrote a whole long reply but there was a delay and I've lost it all!!!

Hope the moving day is going OK.

No, I've not preordered yet. I'm waiting to go into another credit card period. This month is pretty full!

Today was Imax 3, doesn't seem quite so bad after Intensity!!

Ronne, I burned a hole in my credit card doing some retail therapy today. No, moving did not go well at all......for the next month I THOUGHT my son was staying here, weeelllll, guess he's being guilted to stay at his fiance's parents house. Let's just say it did NOT go over well with me. I even put the mother-in-law to daughter-in-law curse on the fiance.....I told her I hope she has a son one day that allows a girl to do this to her. All this mess puts a damper on DS22's graduation, oh I just don't think I'll be able to stand seeing those parent's of the fiance there, I'm going to have to bite my tongue.

On the plus side, I think DH is slowly getting better now that the stent is out.

Been raining for 2 days straight, hope it clears out for tomorrow.

Oh dear Lisa! It sounds like there's a bit of a tug of war going on there! Are they moving into somewhere new after the month is up?

Have a large glass of wine or a rum punch tonight if you've got any left!!

Did bootcamp today - the doorbell rang twice and I had to take a 10min phone call in the middle of it!! Do people not know I'm exercising?

It's just me and DD this weekend. DH has gone to Germany for a few days to visit friends. We're going to watch Harry Potter 6 and bake cookies!!

Well, my oldest has graduated! I was civil to the soon to be in-laws. It was a beautiful Colorado day (after 2 days of straight rain). The kids found another apartment that is ready sooner (end of next week). Meanwhile DS22 will be living at her parents place (not happy, but not gonna stress my son out anymore--I've made my thoughts known---it is what it is). I'm taking the high road, loosening the apron strings, and letting him do as he thinks is best and he can pay the consequences. Easier said than done.

I'm exhausted from all the turmoil and excitement. Hope I sleep tonight!
