Today I skipped working out. Got up a bit late and just didn't feel like rushing around to get it in AND get to work. Lazy, I know
Mary, grasses are just starting to green up here, my front (south facing) is in desparate need of some help, got some fertilizer on it because we are supposed to get rain. Well, we had flurries on Saturday morning, then sunny by noon, and then barely a rain shower Sunday night...it was the slow drizzle so hopefully the grass will look better. The downside? You have to mow it!
DS19 still has yet to get his schedule arranged. But on the flip side, with everyone he's had to talk to, they want him to tutor 3 classes next year (with pay). With his grades, I think he will be a professor's dream to work on some project as an internship someday.
DS22 is finally getting things settled with fiance. Poor kids, gets input from each set of parents and of course we have different priorities. I'm more willing to give in because they have to make their own decisions and mistakes, the fiance Mom is more controlling. So, I got my preference of them renting an appartment (fiance Mom wanted them to rent from them and stay in their house so they could use that money to help pay the bills----the parent's bills! My son is NOT paying them rent to finance their bad decisions!), and I lost out on them reducing wedding costs. So they will blow the $20,000 because it's money fiance has saved from her insurance settlement---forget the fact that could pay for a nice downpaymnet on a house someday! I even offered to GIVE them $5000 to have a wedding that costs under $7000 since her sisters had weddings of $3000-$4000, but they didn't take me up on it. Oh well.....at least I think it's all settled and talked about. Hopefully no hurt feelings, OMG if these kids can survive this....well, this is great practice for real life.
