2 much Cardio 4 meso/endo? How much is enough?

Help!!! I think I have been doing too much cardio as I am starting to see the negative impacts to my bod. My achilles are bothering me, my right knee is hurting during step sometimes etc. I notice it more when I have done cardio several days in a row with no break.

I think I am a meso w/endo tendancies for body type. My bod looks a lot like Cedie's use to. However, trust me, my triceps look NOTHING like hers in the new vid pics that just got posted. I have went to a trainer a few times who has told me cardio is KEY for me and to do it 6-7 days a week. I definitely don't agree with the 7 day thing and KNOW I need at least 1 day off. I tend to carry most of my wt in my belly, legs and booty. He also said strength/endurance is also key for me....

How much cardio is too much? Do you think 4 days a week should suffice consdidering I still have a lot of fat to lose?

I am thinking maybe I should focus on the quality/duration/intensity of the cardio versus the frequency??? I also purchased the BodyRx book this week and am considering some of his techniques. I have already started to put more of a focus on strength/endurance as of late and am seeing great results. Now I guess it might be time to cut down on the cardio too?

Also, do most of you use 2 risers or 1 rise w/your reebok step? I usually use 2 as of late but think that might also be causing the pain? Lastnight I moved it down to only 1 riser and it was much better. However, I am not sure if I can get the intensity always with 1??? Does anyone know if there are specific recommendations based on body height for step size? I am only 5'3"

Also, I guess I will try to find the posts regarding BodyRx and CAthe. Anyone know the best resource for this? And particularly for incorporating cardio into BodyRx?

I appreciate any help you all can provide on this topic.

Thanks a mill:)

I want to know the answer to that cardio question too! Like you, I also believe I am a meso/endo and want to know how to make my workouts more productive and see results quicker. Lately I have also been contemplating doing BodyRx as well.

I read "Workouts for Dummies" that meso/endos should focus their workouts accordingly: 60% cardio and 40% strength training.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

I really think you should cut back on the cardio. My body sounds like yours--endo/meso with primary weight in tummy, thighs, and butt--and when, because of a fractured ankle, I had to give up cardio, I increased my weight routines on the upper body and actually lost weight. I also recommend just one riser for your height. I, too, am 5'3 and 1/2" and after really stressing my knees with 2 risers for years (I even did 3 risers for awhile), I have found relief with just one riser and I don't think it takes away the intensity so much as it makes my form a lot better. Just MHO--take it or leave it!
