I cannot believe that we have finished a quarter of the twelve-week challenge. :-wow

I hope that everybody had a good week. Mine was very good, considering that a mild intestinal virus felled me on Wednesday. I was able to continue working out but my intensity level has been much lower. Finally this evening I am beginning to feel better.

This week I used Cross Train Express:

Monday: All Step, triceps
Tuesday: Leaner Legs, biceps
Wednesday: Step and Intervals, Back, Abs
Thursday: Kick box
Friday: 10-10-10, shoulders
Saturday: Off
Sunday: Power Circuit, chest

I tried to hit every body part twice this week.... especially since my intensity level for aerobics was off.

I am continuing to work on clean eating. This week I focused on limiting fats and using healthy fats where necessary in my diet. I have decided to add some nuts to the dried fruit trail mix which I have been snacking on. The nuts seem to satisfy my hunger better. My sugar craving continues under better control since I have stopped eating artificial sweeteners. Because of my stomach problems, I have had to limit some of my fiber and milk intake this week. Hopefully, this coming week I will be back to normal.

Have a great week! :)

Rhonda

Hi Rhonda,

I actually managed to get in 2 workouts last week (Thursday & Friday). I did PS Chest, Shoulders & Tris on Thursday & a little bit of Leaner Legs on Saturday.

I'm going to try to get myself organized this morning & workout before 10 AM. I'm going back to the tank top rotation for a few weeks & will do both PS upper body tapes today. If all goes well today I will try to get in a brisk walk this evening so that I am upping my cardio a little.

My eating is going pretty well. Because I'm home during the day now, I find that I am eating much healthier. I think I'll go buy some grapes this morning. A friend of mine put red grapes in the freezer for an hour to make a GREAT snack. I know it sounds weird but I promise they were delicious that way! I don't normally like grapes but this was FABULOUS!

Take care!

Deborah

Hey Rhonda, I'm still praying for you guys down there in MD. I hope they catch this guy soon!

Rhonda-
I am praying for you too!!! I can not imagine what you are going thru??!!

I have been eating terrible. I started counting WW's points yesterday, and will start the meetings on Tues. nights. I also ordered the FitPrimes this week, hope to get them tomorrow. I just need some new tapes!!!! I have heard many different reviews on them, I think I will just like a change of scenery. I can not wait for the Intensity Series!!!!

I will do better this week.

I didnt officially "sign up" for your 12 week challenge, but I thought I'd post here b/c I've been trying to eat cleaner the past week. This starts week number 2 for me. Before that, my clean eating was hit or miss and I had been trying to increase my cardio and found that I got really burnt out so I took almost a week off from exercising and it was exactly what I needed. I started a rotation using S&H and some of the food suggestions in Body Rx. I had a few "I shouldnt have eaten that moments" last week, but these week I'm going to concentrate more on portion size. Last week I managed to increase the amount of fruits and vegetables in my diet.

My workout week...

Sunday: S&H Chest/Back + 30 min recumbent bike
Monday: CTX Power Circuit cardio only
Tuesday: S&H Triceps/Biceps
Wednesday: CTX Kickbox cardio only
Thursday: S&H Legs/Shoulders + abs
Friday: Rest Day
Saturday: Interval Max + abs

Good Luck to everyone,

:) Stacy

Hi everyone! Deborah, have you ever tried frozen bananas? They are good also, and supply potassium. Just peel a ripe banana, wrap in saran wrap and freeze. I do that with all my left over ripe bananas.

Can't remember which days I did what last week, but I got in two complete upper body CTX routines, did three days of power walking, and tried The Firm, Vol 1 for the first time. As I have a bad back I didn't jog, just marched, but it was a nice workout. I am also part of a T-tapp challenge, and have been doing at least a half hour of that every other day. It is a good warm-up workout, and gives me a lot more flexibility that I would have with just the weight lifting and power walking.

Hope everyone has a good week this week. Oh, someone just came by in the office and said they may have possibly caught the sniper in Richmond. I hope so...I'm tired of avoiding stores and gas stations! Every time I get gas I hide behind the pump as best I can.

I'll be posting tomorrow if I had any weight loss.I was in rush today and I like weighing myself right when I get up.I'll check in tomorrow.

I am always on the road to cleaner eating sometimes I swerve a bit but I gain control again. I've been trying to limit the breads and focusing on more veges and fruits. I have noticed I'm not having those PMS carb cravings I always seem to get.
This week I wanted to get up at $:30 6 days but managed only 4 of them. The other 2 days I worked out mid morning. When my lil' guy wants me up in the middle of the night I get up! Then I oversleep ;-)

Monday:CircuitMax
Walk 30mn

Tues: Rhythmic Step

Wed: Power Hour
walk 30mmn

Thurs: Cardio Kicks
Frid: Power Hour
Sat: Step Heat
Sun: OFF
Good week to everyone! Stay focused. Susan

Although I ended taking off Friday through Sunday last weekend due to circumstances beyond my control, this is going pretty well. I had worked out 8 out of 9 days rather intensely prior to that and things like baby sitting my sisters 3 kids and the flu (which is still with us, just a different child) threw me for a loop. But starting Monday 10/ 14, my workouts went like this:

Monday 5.2 mile run and SH legs
Tuesday PowerMax and SH shoulders
Wednesday 4.8 mile run and PS BB
Thursday StepFit PS chest and triceps
Friday I went to my son's kindergarten class
Saturday BodyMax
Sunday rest

I was off today becasue my son has the flu my husband was getting ready to fly to Florida to visit his folks and I was laundering and getting him ready. We had a 5 foot rattle smnake in our back yard to boot!

My diet is ok. I am semi clean but that's the way I like it and I tend to balance bad days with good days.

I want to thank Rhonda for emailing me to check up and for all the supportive feedback and the recipies!

Hi everyone!!

My last week actually had 3 X's on my calendar for REST days as I was feeling under the weather, but I started back again Sunday with Power Max/Abs, followed by CTX Upper Split/Abs this morning. I'm going to start a CTX/BodyMax/PH rotation using Step Classics in between.

The good news is that I finally went through a full weekend staying within my points range with WW and WEIGH-IN today I lost 1.8 lbs for a total of 4.4 lbs for the 5 weeks!! I'm psyched and ready to lose another pound at the end of this week!

Prayers to all of you in the MD,VA DC area and Good Luck to all on the challenge. Rhonda, hope you're feeling better!!

Well I'm all confused now.My scale didn't read any loss or gain but I read in magazine that a digital scale should be on a thin rug when weighing yourself or the results would be wrong. When I weighed myself on the bare bathroom floor it read 134 but on a thin rug it said 130.????I'm not sure which one is my correct weight.I know I don't feel any thinner. My eating cleaner was a little better this week.I exercised everyday.A step tape(Cathe of course)and 1 to 2 body parts per day.I guess I'll have to see what the rug version of weight says next week.~Linda~

I had never read about using a rug before. I'll
have to use one and see what the difference is! Susan

To me this is a no brainer. I would always go with the situtation where I weigh less....

Glad everybody is working hard and gaining awareness of clean eating and exercise.

Keep it UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rhonda

Hi everyone! Hope it's ok that I jump on in here! I lost a half pound this week. I know it doesn't sound like much , but for me, it's great to see the scale go the other way for a change:)!!

THURS: rest
