Wendysorry to hear Joey has bronchitis. Sure hope those meds kick in full force so the lil guy can enjoy Christmas!

The rest of my personals were posted last night. :)

Workout today will be KPC/L&G #14.

Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning ladies!

You know, Cathy, I'm so glad I can count on your thread titles to give me a great laugh to start the day! You've been killing me with 'em:D:D! Laura, too! You gals are sooooo creative and fun!

Wendy - Awww, so sorry for Joey:(. Sending tons of get well {{{{{{{{{VIBES}}}}}}}}} his way!!!!!!

Well, yesterday I ran. Not a *real* run, unfortunately, just ran all over the county between work and trying to finish off some of the loose ends I had shopping-wise. Getting sick put me VERY behind:eek::( and now I've got today to finish up everything. I did get a ton accomplished but a bit more to do. Right now I'm in the middle of CleanMax and LaundryMax, then DSO and I are going to head to one of the barns to feed (although I'm off today I told new girl I'd give her a hand a bit...will only take ten minutes so this am, no biggie there), then run all the rest of our errands together so that we get to spend the day together with me not being sick....ahhhhh:)!. Grandma and Mom should be here early evening so I'm hoping I can get *everything* (including evening feed at our other barn)completely done so I can sit back and relax at least a little tonight and most of tomorrow.

Anyway, sorry for the long winded "me" post. I hope to steal some time this evening to catch up on personals. Have a great day ladies! And for Cathy...last day, last day, last day!!!! Can we say VACAY:eek::cool::D!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone.

Today's work out is cardio. Low Max is on the schedule but I don't think I'll be doing that one. Don't think my bum could handle it after y'day's work out! I can probably get to the gym tonight for a run but may not want to wait that long to work out so I'm playin' this one by ear....

I've decided to keep DS home from school today. It's the last day before vacation starts and a half day at that. He hasn't been on the antibiotics for 24 hours yet and is still appearing to be quite miserable even though the fever is pretty much gone. I want my little boy to feel GOOD for tmrw night when the "festivities" begin! I'll have to call out of work too, which doesn't thrill me, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do right? I am, however, going to load him up into the car this morning and take him to the school just so that he can give his teachers their Christmas gifts. I'd hate to have to wait until January when he goes back.

Laura: Very cool about the Garmin. Can't wait to hear your reviews. Perhaps one day I'll "upgrade" but for now, I'm happy. :) You bet your bottom you get an altitude adjustment! I have heard that part of the reason the Kenyans that win the races over here in the states do so well is because of the conditions they train in back home. IE-altitude!

Linda: Busy bee! I love the IMAX2 music as well and the Pina Colada song is one of my faves as well. :) You know I looked at the picture before I read your post y'day and didn't notice the glow until I read about it and looked again! That's wild.

Christine: Enjoy the time with your dad and your Uggs. :) How long is dad here for? What circuit work out did you do y'day?

Judy: AWESOME tm run y'day! The longest I've gone on the TM is 8-9 miles when I was training for my 2nd HM. Can't believe you added a couple hills in there too. I would NOT have done that. LOL Congrats to the ICE CATS! How nice. I'm sure those guys were thrilled and the boys must've feel really good knowing they made those fellows so very happy and proud. :)

Jackie: So you won't share your warmth too? That's not very nice. :p LOL I will not be running on Christmas morning. I will be at my SIL's for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so we are packing up and sleeping there. I'd have to run outside and I don't know her area so I won't be doing that. She IS a PT at a gym though. I wonder if her gym is open on Christmas Day?? Hmmm....nah....she's not a nut like me....she'd never go for it...LOL
So BIL actually doesn't want to go home yet?? Most folks fight to get out of the hospital no matter what. Hope he improves with each passing day. :)

Cathy: Yeah, the gift for DH was a total inspiration and just perfect for him I think. I'm excited about it. Loved your "peace and love" sign at the bottom of your post. You find the best smilies, etc, I swear! :) So today's the last day, girl! Are you excited or what!? Does your school have a half day today? Where will you be headed for Christmas Eve? What did you purchase for the gift exchange?

Wendi: You have one heck of a busy day planned today. I hope you get everything done in a timely fashion. Enjoy the holidays with your mom and grandma. :)

Okay, that should catch me up. Off to get more coffee. I'll be checkin' in a lot today since I'll be home all day with DS.

Later!:)

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...quads were sore yesterday! I saw Karen after work getting adjusted and she asked how my legs were, I just smiled and she said "sore quads"..and I said YEP!! Hers were too. They are much better today. I think the Pina Colada song is Interval 10? Enjoy your KPC/L&G premix.

Wendi...getting sick does mess things up somewhat. Great job getting all that work done yesterday!! Enjoy your day with DSO after some errands.

Wendy...I know the sore quad were from the 1st 2 miles of downhill, I get sore quads every time I do that particular course! Sorry about Joey's bronchitis, I do hope the meds help ASAP.

Laura...Well That Pennsylvania Dutch Egg Nog is by far the BEST I have ever had. I bet their restaurants are quite tasty. I did buy the vegetarian Slow Cooker by Robin Robertson. I have not tried any recipes yet, but here is a Black bean chili one I have been eying. It is funny but a shorter 6 mile run does feel easy the day after 20. Way to push it on those 800's!

Linda...WOW!! Very interesting avatar!! The 20 actually felt pretty good. I was feeling just not right the 1st 3 miles (not sure what that was) but the rest of the run went well and I felt strong at the end. You will be back to running distances soon, you just have to let the body recover. You have gotten in some good workouts. Thanks for the nice card.

Christine...thanks re my 6 miles after the 20. Admittedly I only did 5 yesterday...:)..Glad your Dad got there safe and sound. Hope you enjoyed a great day with him yesterday.

Judy...Way to go on the 10 mile TM run!!

Jackie...loosing my mind was more about keeping my weekly mileage where my training says and not going over as I have felt so good!! I never liked Egg Nog either, until this brand..:)...Good workouts. I hope your BIL can go home soon. I actually think one heals better at home...

I blew off my upper body workout yesterday as DH decided to be a butthead before he left for work. Just threw me all off. I did get in an easy 5 mile run. So today I am doing SJ&P but using the EXT in place of the first part of stepping. I feel in the mood for a circuit.

Have a great day...

Good morning!

Cathy – Yes, that is exactly what I thought. My DD said that about the “angel”, but my first thought was a spirit of one of my family members….specifically my dad or mom. Anyway…….I just hope nobody thinks I am nuts for wondering!  Yay!!! I’ll bet you are really excited about getting some much needed time off!!

Wendi – Slow down and take a breath, girlie! Bless your heart! I am sorry you got so behind with being sick!

Wendy – Poor Joey! I hope he is feeling better before Christmas Eve/Christmas! Enjoy your workout! I agree…Low Max may be a bit tough on an already sore bum!!

Carole – It seems like any time I run, It takes me around 3 miles to start feeling good! I am glad your run went well! Thanks for your remarks about my workouts! You are very welcome for the card! Good job on your 5 miler! Sorry about your DH being a butthead! That has a way of kind of throwing a wrench on how a workout goes, doesn’t it?  Enjoy your circuit workout! That sounds good!

We went to dinner with our very good friends last night and I didn't get home until late. I got up when my alarm went off at 4:00 a.m.....went to the potty....and went back to bed!! :( Grrr! I used to never do that! Lately I have had the hardest time getting up and working out in the morning! I guess whatever I do will have to be tonight!

I received my Chalene Extreme yesterday, but I haven't even got to look at it :( I am really not too excited about it, because I kind of want to keep doing my GSs and 4DSs until Vegas and then start with STS! :) I can't wait to see what they are like, though!!

Have a wonderful day everyone! Hey to everyone!

Linda

Linda: I want you to do CLX because I want to know how you like it! I didn't order it cause I didn't think I'd like it but it's getting positive reviews on the OD. Do it so you can give me yours!!! I may have to ask for it for my Birthday in April if you like it!;)

Carole: Sorry about your DH's butt-headedness yesterday. Mine can do that to me as well and it's very frustrating. Enjoy your circuit today. I wish I had a cardio machine at home to do Cathe's circuits with. Sounds like a great plan!

So I've decided to nix the cardio plan for this afternoon. I'll be doing tmrw's work out instead which is CTX u/b split. I still might go for a short run once DH gets home but this way tmrw morning is completely freed up for a 5 miler since Joey should be good to go to the gym with me. :D I will do abs tmrw as well.

Hiya Cheetahs!

Linda – Oh, Vegas?! You’ll have fun – hopefully it won’t be snowing there! I’m glad you’ll have time off – we all need it! I love the glow and the guardian angel. I totally believe that, especially with what she’s been through.

Judy – I sure hope calories don’t count! I’ve been horrid! But I refuse to step on the scale until Jan 1, then it’s time to pay the piper. :p DD will turn 16 on the 28th! I cannot believe my baby girl is that old!! Great job on 10 miles on the dreadmill! Wow! YAY Ice Cats!!

Jackie – Oh, I will enjoy the afghan. It’s very special. Yes, dad was fortunate to fly from Raleigh to DC and then DC to San Francisco – avoiding all of the cities that can cause issues. :p Oh, how did the solid food go? Is BIL coming home soon? I have fingers and toes crossed for him!

Cathy – yeah, people need to relax and enjoy the season! Did you have fun with the EXT last night? Nice workout today! How fun! You continue to make me laugh with your titles!!

Wendy – oh man, sorry to hear Joey has Bronchitis! That is soo not fun. I hope he’s feeling better soon! I don’t like Low Max either – hopefully you’ll get in your run. Dad is here through next Monday. It’ll be fun.

Wendi – Good job on the run! Hopefully you’ll get everything done. Enjoy your vacation!!!!

Carole – I’m still amazed at 5 miles after a long run like that. Iron woman! I hate when my DH is a butt head! Enjoy SJ&P! Sounds like fun!

I did AOS Newport yesterday and I’m enjoying feeling the muscles I don’t normally feel – like lats, core, hamstrings… I’m really enjoying the bells again! But I do have admit that it was Cathe’s workouts that got my back strength back. I’m thinking of a rotation that is one Upper Body workout, one Heavy legs, and one kettlebell a week. We’ll see. :p Dad and I have been having fun. We went out to lunch then dropped DH off at the airport then hung out with DD15 for the afternoon and evening. It was really nice. Today I think I’ll take Jimmy for a run. He needs it. Enjoy your day everyone!

Okay... I just finished a LONG post with long replys to everyone... hit reply and it went away... POOOOF:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I just don't have time now to recreate it. I'm so sorry!!!

Just finished saying good bye to DH on his way to NJ. I gotta get movin and get in some workouts now. I'll be doing the original bodymax and later another great tush kickin circuit.

tata

Afternoon Ladies,

Just a fly by for now, but I'll get back here. It doesn't appear we're goingt oo far today. It's bad out there. I kept my MT appt. Oh boy...lots of accidents, sliding, etc. I'm so glad I have all the Christmas stuff done, but *trying* to keep up with daily housework while the kids are home... lol Anyway, I did more STS 1RM y-day and today. I know I went lighter on the legs only because of my hip situation. From what I can see if you do Disc 1-4, you're pretty much covered, I think, through Disc 20 something. I really have to go over and check, but it appears this way. I wonder if we can print the exercises by disc#? I guess I can always cut/paste to a Word document, but that's too much work. :p Also, I've used the EXT/spin bike for cardio. I did Amy's 10 sol abs w/band and Bosu abs only today after cardio. Those Bosu abs are so much easier w/o the cardio portion. :p:D

Have a great day.

~BBIAB

Okay, I'm back. I was going to make a trip to the grocery store for a few items but decided I really didn't need to so I have time to try again at some personals and catch up:)

Just talked with DH on the phone and he made it thru to Jersey without getting lost in Philly:eek:. I haven't really felt it yet but it's gonna feel mighty lonely for me tonight I imagine. Tomorrow will be worse but at least I can go to work. Getting time and 1/2 pay also will help me from feeling too blue;)

I had a great time with Bodymax--- I actually think this one may be a tad harder then BM2. The moves are simpler but more athletic and there are 5 leg/circuits instead of 4. (I'd forgotten about that) anyway, it put me in the mood for older more classic Cathe workouts so I'm thinking later I'll do CircuitMax. :D

I'll be back with personals.... (Will paste from Word this time and play it smart!)

Shelly

Hi Girls.

Today's work out ended up being a little of today and tmrw's work outs. I did some cardio and some weights and will do the same tmrw to finish off this rotation.

Today was IMAX 3 blasts 1-5 and CTX Chest and Back.
Tomorrow will be CTX Shoulders, Bi, Tri and a 5 mile run + abs.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'll be back a bit later with personals.

Toodles!:D

personals

Wendy- DH and I get along pretty well with home improvement projects... we make quite a team in fact. We have spats now and then (who doesn't?) but nothin major. I hope your little guy has responded to the antibiotics so he can have a fun Christmas. He is at that age where Christmas is so magical and exciting. Very impressive workouts for you lately!!

Jackie- Well, I took my knitting project right down to the wire... finished them both up only last night and finally wrapped them... YAHOO! Is your BIL home today? That's odd that he wasn't looking forward to going home tho... I would think he'd be itching to be out of the hospital! I sure hope your whole extended family can see past this horrible event and have a lovely holiday!

Christine- Sounds like you are having a very special holiday so far with your Dad:D:D Loved that kitty pic you posted the other day. My Rio kitty is a tabby like that one and I have a pic of him in the tree that looks just like that one. Gave me a good laugh this morning..... and I needed one!! Hope you got in a great run with Jimmy!

Thomasina- Sounds like you helped to make your office party a very special one.... no surprise there. If only every workplace could have someone like you in it!! I can't believe you managed to get that painting project done on top of everything else this time of year!!! What's the new color anyway?

Judy- Thanks for sending the cozy thoughts my way... much appreciated.
Have to admit... I'm having very GUILTY thoughts right now. I think I completely neglected to wish you a very Happy Birthday when I last posted!!! How could I????:confused::confused: Please forgive.... and I hope it was a truly special day for you. Got your Christmas post card. I must say you sure do have a handsome collection of kids! (good genes obviously) and all so fit looking too! YAY for the Ice Cats! What a touching tradition.
It isn't often that the "losers" feel just as good, if not better, then the "winners".

Laura- That's great that you have probably found someone who can deliver your Garmin to you. Probably saves lots of $$$ in postage. I bet you will soon find it very indispensable! I didn't realize you were at high elevation there. In Az I was running at 5-6000 ft. When I travelled to lower elevations the running always seemed so much easier!

Carole- Going for a 22 miler on this training plan? I've never gone over 20 during training.... do you think this will give any more of an advantage? I've been considering adding a longer one in my next marathon training schedule. Hey, those Pennsylvania Dutch Egg Nog bottles are all over the place here (big surprise;):p) If you can't locate them any time in the future let me know and I'll be happy to send some to ya!

Cathy- So glad to hear that you had a relaxing and restfull weekend and actually read a book for pleasure:eek::eek::eek:. Hopeyou enjoy your KPC/LG today. Hey.... are you going on your ski trip over the holiday break? I know that you usually do but I don't recall you mentioning it this year.

Wendi- So glad to hear that you are finally kicking that nasty bug and are back to your usual energetic self! That's the only good thing about those gastroenteric bugs.... a nice surprise when you step on the scale afterwards, even if it is only temporary! Haven't gotten any of that mega snowfall down here is South Central PA--- only rain lately.. and that's just fine and dandy with me! I've been told that we rarely get major snowfall in this area. Sounds like it will be pretty much what I was used to getting in N. Ariz.

Dallas- You've been thru the ringer and then some lately! Hope things are settling down for you some and your kids will be all recovered soon. Thank you so much for your kind words to me the other day... AWWW geeee:eek:
Minestrone soup is my all time fav and the only one I've ever bothered to make from scratch... not much of a Betty Crocker type I'm afraid. I'll have to go check out the recipe on that website. Thanks!

Gloria- I do hope you can convince your DH to let you get a kitty. They provide their own special type of love and can be so entertaining! My DH didn't think he was a "cat" person either. I went out and got one anyway and he quickly changed his mind. If the litter box is in an out of the way place, like a laundry room, etc. and you keep the door closed with a kitty door in it your DH won't even notice that cats are "going to the bathroom indoors". They can be trained INSTANTLY too, unlike dogs!

Sunny (Dee Dee) (In case you are lurking here today) Hiya! Glad to hear from you and I do hope you can come back to chat... we miss ya!

Linda- Hey partycheetah! You're having a fun time lately! Very glad to hear it. LOVE that avatar pic BTW!

whew, I think that actually catches me up!

Shelly

Okay, I am dressed and ready to hit the stores but still have about 40 minutes before DH gets home so I can catch up with personals while I wait. :)

Shelly: I am sure Joey will be feeling tons better by tomorrow evening. He'll have had 3 doses of med by then and the sheer excitement of it all will probably help too. :D The weight portion of my work outs as of late are credited to Fitness Freak as I have been doing her rotations for the past 3 months. The cardio is my own choice and mostly running ofcourse. So what do you think of my 15 mile minimum goal for weekly mileage until my training starts? I sure hope you don't get too lonely with DH gone for the holidays. It was so selfless of you to have him go. You are what the holidays are all about! :)

Dallas: Sorry about the big snow by you. What a pain. I still have shopping to do here in a bit so thank goodness the roads are clear or I'd be up the you know what creek with out a paddle! :p I hope the situation with your hip improves soon. Good job workin on the 1RM's. I don't think I'll ever do them. I think I will do STS just like every other work out-shootin' from the hip and adjusting as needed. SHHHH-don't tell Cathe! ;)

Christine: I like your rotation idea. If you decide to do that, when will you start it? Joey is feeling better and hopefully by tmrw he'll be even better then today! He wasn't happy this morning while we were out delivering Christmas gifts to his teachers but his mood has improved vastly since then. :)

K, I'm caught up. Gotta fold some laundry now...BBL!

Hi Cheetahs-

I am amazed that myself and 3 of the 4 kids are actually having a bit of down time this afternoon. This morning was cook max. We are having a family dinner with the in laws tonight. Today is our actual 25th Wedding Anniversary. We chose to have our date out last night and have a family night tonight.

Carole- I have the Robin Robertson slow cooker vegetarian cookbook. In fact I have the spicy black bean chili in a crock pot right now. ( I confess to adding mushrooms to the recipe) Circuits are nice for variety once in a while.

Shelly- Cheetahs will be here to keep you cheered up. Nice going on getting those knitting projects done. :) DD17 is knitting some presents as I type. No worries about the belated B-day wishes. thanks for noticing. ;)

Christine- How was the run with jimmy? Will DD get her driving permit right away? I like to throw AOS Newport in the mix once in a while to change thing up and stay challenged in a different way. I think that one is probably a goos calorie blaster dont't you?

Wendi- You are a sweetie for going in to help the new girl! Did you make your way through laundry and clean max.

Wendy- nice way to mix up your workouts and work around the family schedule. Glad Joey is on the mend!

Cathy- ahhh vacation!

Tiffany- Thanks for the card and letter. Your family is precious.

Jackie- That is great about BIL tolerating solid food!

Dallas- nice taste in boy names! I hope you can find a minute to just 'enjoy and be' during this hectic season. (((hugs)))

Karen- We have you in our hearts and continued prayers!

Hi Laura and Thomasina Gloria and Linda !!!

The workout today was Supersets: upper body blast 59". It goes through every upper body exercise twice. Great workout! at the end I did 2x2" planks on inverted BOSU

Hey there, friends!
th_lights.gif

Wendi—you are too good for this world, going to help the newb on your lone day off! Seriously, I feel guilty about having time off in light of how tirelessly you put in the hours day in, day out. Wish I could share some of my time off with ya. But thank you for being able to be pumped for me. Did you accomplish everything you needed to today? Hope you had time to kick back, too!

Wendy—I don’t plan to upgrade my Garmin, either, until this one goes kaput. Thanks re: the smilies. :) We did have a half day, and oh yeah, you betcha—I am breathing a huge sigh of relief to get a nice stretch of time off without a whole lot of hustle n’ bustle going on!! On Christmas Eve, I go to my aunt’s. I’ll have to PM you what the swap gift is.
evilgrin.gif
How’s the Joester doing?

Carole—DH being a butthead during Xmas week? What’s up with that? Thought that was only the norm for the forums. :p Well, this one's for you: :D
th_0289.gif

Brighton—received your card and family newsletter today. You have such lovely handwriting!...How are you doing after yesterday’s tough day?

Linda—I don’t think you are nuts at all…I do believe we can get signs from loved ones beyond the grave.

Christine—I have been liking the EXT lately as it doesn’t bother my leg. I like your idea of a traditional weights/kb combo cuz I do agree, they work ya differently. Have a fun run with Jim!

Shelly—oh dang on the lost post…that bites…I feel so bad about you being alone for the holidays…thinking about that time-and-a-half is probably a good way to sidetrack your thoughts, though! WTG on finishing up the sweaters in time. A colleague received a knitted scarf from a student, and it was absolutely gorgeous. We were all envious! Didn’t Posh tell you, the new colors are banana yellow with fuschia trim? :D I am not traveling out West this year, but there’s a possibility (it's maybe more of a stretch at this point), I may get up to VT for a couple of days. If it happens, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Dallas—good job getting more of the 1RMs done. Glad you got off those dangerous roads. A massage sounds HEAVENLY! What kind did you get?

Judy—happy anniversary!

Karen—touch base if you can & let us know how you are.

Posh—how are ya?

Sunny’s visit yesterday made me think of other cheetahs who haven’t posted with us in awhile. In the event any of you happen to drop by—Elaine, Laurie, Susan, Kristi, Lorie, Marcia, Barb…happy holidays to you & your families. Hope you are well.

Rut roe...I'm afraid I should not have sat down after school. *lol* The crash is comin'. I've been up since 2 am. I think I may hop on the EXT again and save KPC/L&G til tomorrow. Think it's best to have a full tank for that one. So, let me be off to it before I fade completely.

Have a great night! :D

Hello Cheetahs!

Cathy - I think going back home is more emotional than fear. Having the feeling safety at home was violated. You know what I'm trying to say. He did go home last night and did well his first day back. It will take time for him to get over this. But, I have confidence he will. Are you on break yet? I hope so. ;) Hope you made it through your workout too.

Wendy - Sorry Joey has bronchitis again. Sure hope the little guy feels better soon so he can enjoy Christmas. Hey, you deserve a day off from running. Think BIL will get better. His sons are home to help out during the Christmas break and he has lots of friends that will be there for him too. Thank you for the thoughts.

Wendi - Nice of you to help the new girl out today. Hope you and DSO enjoyed the day together. Did Grandma and Mom get there safely. Enjy the time with them. What's for Christmas dinner?

Carole - Sorry DH was a butthead yesterday! Hope he made up for it. Glad you got in a good run. Hope you enjoyed SJP with the EXT.

Linda - So, did you get a workout in? I hope to have my CE tomorrow. These seem to be a good length. I plan on doing a rotation in Jan. but don't know if I'll do 90 day rotation. Will see how it goes.

Christine - The solid food went well for BIL. He went home last night. Said he tried some KY Fried and it just didn't taste the same. Thanks for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers. Glad you and your dad are having fun.

Shelly - Glad DH had a safe trip. Will he bring you back some good food? Hope you're not too lonely. Glad you had fun with BM. Think if the incident hadn't occurred at BIL doorsteps, he would feel better about going home. It's just not the same any more. All kinds of things go through your mind. I'm sure in time he'll be ok. Thanks for the holiday wishes. His family was getting things ready so he could at least have a good Christmas.

Dallas - I heard you got more snow there. Be safe.

Judy - Glad you got some down time today. You deserve it. Happy 25th Anniversary. Enjoy dinner.

I finished up Sweat 5-6 and then I took Grace on with iTread 13 Sprints and did some stretching. I was off today. Got my hair colored and visited with my DS and BIL. It's been raining all day but at least it's not freezing.

Hope everyone had a good day! Enjoy your evening!
