Wendy- DH and I get along pretty well with home improvement projects... we make quite a team in fact. We have spats now and then (who doesn't?) but nothin major. I hope your little guy has responded to the antibiotics so he can have a fun Christmas. He is at that age where Christmas is so magical and exciting. Very impressive workouts for you lately!!
Jackie- Well, I took my knitting project right down to the wire... finished them both up only last night and finally wrapped them... YAHOO! Is your BIL home today? That's odd that he wasn't looking forward to going home tho... I would think he'd be itching to be out of the hospital! I sure hope your whole extended family can see past this horrible event and have a lovely holiday!
Christine- Sounds like you are having a very special holiday so far with your Dad
Loved that kitty pic you posted the other day. My Rio kitty is a tabby like that one and I have a pic of him in the tree that looks just like that one. Gave me a good laugh this morning..... and I needed one!! Hope you got in a great run with Jimmy!
Thomasina- Sounds like you helped to make your office party a very special one.... no surprise there. If only every workplace could have someone like you in it!! I can't believe you managed to get that painting project done on top of everything else this time of year!!!
What's the new color anyway?
Judy- Thanks for sending the cozy thoughts my way... much appreciated.
Have to admit... I'm having very GUILTY thoughts right now. I think I completely neglected to wish you a very Happy Birthday when I last posted!!! How could I????
Please forgive.... and I hope it was a truly special day for you. Got your Christmas post card. I must say you sure do have a handsome collection of kids! (good genes obviously) and all so fit looking too! YAY for the Ice Cats! What a touching tradition.
It isn't often that the "losers" feel just as good, if not better, then the "winners".
Laura- That's great that you have probably found someone who can deliver your Garmin to you. Probably saves lots of $$$ in postage. I bet you will soon find it very indispensable! I didn't realize you were at high elevation there. In Az I was running at 5-6000 ft. When I travelled to lower elevations the running always seemed so much easier!
Carole- Going for a 22 miler on this training plan? I've never gone over 20 during training.... do you think this will give any more of an advantage? I've been considering adding a longer one in my next marathon training schedule. Hey, those Pennsylvania Dutch Egg Nog bottles are all over the place here (big surprise
) If you can't locate them any time in the future let me know and I'll be happy to send some to ya!
Cathy- So glad to hear that you had a relaxing and restfull weekend and actually read a book for pleasure
. Hopeyou enjoy your KPC/LG today. Hey.... are you going on your ski trip over the holiday break? I know that you usually do but I don't recall you mentioning it this year.
Wendi- So glad to hear that you are finally kicking that nasty bug and are back to your usual energetic self! That's the only good thing about those gastroenteric bugs.... a nice surprise when you step on the scale afterwards, even if it is only temporary! Haven't gotten any of that mega snowfall down here is South Central PA--- only rain lately.. and that's just fine and dandy with me! I've been told that we rarely get major snowfall in this area. Sounds like it will be pretty much what I was used to getting in N. Ariz.
Dallas- You've been thru the ringer and then some lately! Hope things are settling down for you some and your kids will be all recovered soon. Thank you so much for your kind words to me the other day... AWWW geeee
Minestrone soup is my all time fav and the only one I've ever bothered to make from scratch... not much of a Betty Crocker type I'm afraid. I'll have to go check out the recipe on that website. Thanks!
Gloria- I do hope you can convince your DH to let you get a kitty. They provide their own special type of love and can be so entertaining! My DH didn't think he was a "cat" person either. I went out and got one anyway and he quickly changed his mind. If the litter box is in an out of the way place, like a laundry room, etc. and you keep the door closed with a kitty door in it your DH won't even notice that cats are "going to the bathroom indoors". They can be trained INSTANTLY too, unlike dogs!
Sunny (Dee Dee) (In case you are lurking here today) Hiya! Glad to hear from you and I do hope you can come back to chat... we miss ya!
Linda- Hey partycheetah! You're having a fun time lately! Very glad to hear it. LOVE that avatar pic BTW!
whew, I think that actually catches me up!
