    Taylor Swift.......opinions?

Reminds me of that line from Rocking the Suburbs by Ben Folds: Some producer with computers fixes all my s***ty tracks these days! Don't know anything about her music, but if she can't sing live, how good a singer could she be?

"DC Sniper" should be dead in about an hour. Good.

I certainly hope not. That is one of the great things about this country and it makes us different from a lot of others. Sometimes, and maybe not often, that "scum" just might be innocent, but doesn't have the money to pay for lawyer to to prove it.

"DC Sniper" should be dead in about an hour. Good.

I like to think that I'm against the death penalty, but, honestly, with people like this guy, I just don't care that much. But, in my heart of hearts, I agree that government sanctioned killing is wrong. As far as the family and friends of the victims, I guess each one is as unique as we are...

The Wasteland T.S. Eliot (love to hear him read it) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tqK5zQlCDQ Part I. The Burial of the Dead April is the cruelest month, breeding Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing Memory and desire, stirring Dull roots with spring rain. Winter kept us warm...

    What are you reading?

I heard about the Booker Prize winner, Wolf Hall, this weekend on NPR. It takes on the Henry VIII/Anne Boleyn relationship that led to the Reformation in a different perspective than the historical novels have done before: it's more about Henry's right-hand man, Thomas Cromwell. In this book...

    need advice in-law troubles

Wow, your daughter got her wedding dress? Sounds like you came out great! I lived with my grandmother for 18 years. Her house was my home. When she died, I got her glasses; a 1936 Searchlight cookbook, where she saved recipes she'd clipped out of magazines and newspapers, and wrote notes...

    Anyone have a Kindle?

I'm too much of a bibliophile to go techno with books. And what would I do with all that space my books take up? I'd have to buy new furniture for every room in the house!!:D
