For Canadians who are undecided about the High Step

If you don't mind...what was the total cost in Cdn $? I'm in Toronto, and this would make a nice treat... Christine

Has anyone tried Mindy Mylrea's workouts

I have mixed feelings on Mindy. I like her alot, I find her funny, and very personable. I really like her extreme strength workout (the one before her most recent one). It is really good functional fitness, not gym-style at all, which is a nice change. I find, though, that her cueing is so...

    Are you from Canada, eh?

I'm from Toronto, and that's where I live, with husband and three kids (son and daughter twins age 11 and another daughter age 5). Been using almost nothing but cathe for my home fitness for about the last year and a half, in fact other than yoga DVD's I don't own anything else! Hi to other...

Way O/T, but need some feedback...

Donna, I'm appalled that anyone in this day and age would be so incredibly hateful and ignorant. My knee-jerk reaction here is: out the damn bigot! Report the incident to the moderators of the forum where you met, this is written hate crime and if this person solicited your help as a MENTOR...

    Talk about DOMS

Same here on the activity: if I do some walking or biking the same day, I don't get too sore. Funny enough, I rarely get sore from slow and heavy, maybe because of all the resting and stretching. I seem to get the most sore from repetitive motion-type activities, like any of cathe's endurance...

For those of you who have most if not all of the DVD's.....

RE: For those of you who have most if not all of the DV... I bought mine in two large chunks, as I sold my VHS tapes on ebay. The ebay money helped finance the DVD purchase! Christine

    Step Max: intro to Cathe?

I recently bought the cardio classics DVD, since I of course have to have ALL the cathes. Well, I pulled it out yesterday and did step max. I am not the best at choreo and I had no trouble with this one, first try. I found it to be very basic-the first section is barely even combos, it's just...

    For Catheites

wow...seems to be alot of 39 year-olds here! I'm 39 and have been doing cathe almost exclusively for 1 year and 5 months. Christine

Who will be in new videos?

I also feel like something would truly be missing without Cedie, she is so part of the workout, she's like the second in command. It always cracks me up in Leaner legs when (I think it's on the last set of calf raises) Cathe says "how many are left?" and Brenda and Rhonda look at each other in...

Why U picked your Screen Names????

Mine is junemom cause all three of my kids were born on June 10...not as wierd as it sounds, cause my older two are twins, but still...kinda strange! And their bday is the day after DH, so June is like a mini xmas around our place. Very expensive time of year for me! Christine

Has anyone sold all their none Cathe videos?

RE: I'm going for it! I'm selling! Hi Sunnyside, The one firm I bought back on DVD for some cardio variety was super cardio mix: this one in particular is a good alternative to Cathe because she doesn't really do anything like this. I do find with cathe cardio I end up doing alot of...

Has anyone sold all their none Cathe videos?

RE: Where do you get rid of your tapes? I sold most of my other tapes to finance my switch to DVD, and although I have a few other DVD's (coupla firms) I really don't ever feel motivated to do anything but my Cathes. It's not really an issue of being proud or ashamed either way, that's just...

    kickbox step please!

This has probably been requested/suggested, but I would love an intense kickbox step workout. Ideally, this would be about a half hour of kickbox on the floor and a half hour of kickbox on the step, so we could mix and match on the DVD to create a few different combos. Personally, I would...

    Gentler on the Knees Please!

Seems to me that a kind of step/kickbox cardio could fill this need nicely...what about a cardio workout that was half kickbox on the floor, half kickbox step, so that you could chapter it into different combos of kickbox floor only, kickbox step only, etc.? There are very few kickbox step...

    One body part per day

I've chimed in on this one on other threads, but yes please! I think many of us, thanks to you, are in a place where we have developed a good muscle base, have been doing splits for a while, and are ready to try one body part a day style training, but please make it slow and heavy, not...

    All those lil' muscles

Yes please! I LOVE it in Slow and Heavy when we do rotator cuffs. I would love a really easy to break into sections, small muscle group workout. Functional fitness style, maybe lots of med ball use, and lots of core work ala intensity series. Christine

    CTX II and other ideas

I was going to post my suggestion by Jilly took the words out of my mouth: a 6 day workout series, hitting one body part per day but going for max muscle growth as opposed to endurance. Make the cardio segments less step-oriented, more kickbox and hi lo. Christine

    making the 3-pound jump

Those soft wrist weights (usually 1 and a half pounds each) are handy to help in the transition. I used to wear them on my wrists, and hold my 10 pounds, say, before I was ready to go heavier. Or, you can sometimes get slim one pound dumbells you could hold along with your 5 or 12, to up the...

    Is Terminator worth it?

worth it over here too. I found Imax xtreme to be a really great cardio focused workout. The gauntlet I found very tough, I was totally winded throughout, including during most of the weight segments. I have only done the viper cardio parts, skipping thru the weights, and this was a great 35...

    muscle size "order"

Hi Cathe, I read in a recent post that you advise working the muscles in order of size, largest to smallest. How do the muscles of the body rate, in order? (I know the tri's and bis are smallest...but what about legs/back/chest?) thanks! Christine
